how old is giselle in ur dr?

She's around 21 years old in my dr !! I'm only 19 in Katseye so although it's legally right, does it feel morally? absolutely not. I'm not a fan of debuting minors personally (ningx2 wouldn't have been in Aespa if I just aged them down) so I made the decision to have Aespa debut at the same ages they were in 2020 but change their debut date to 2023, a year before our debut, if that makes sense?

In other words : Aespa birthdays are 2 years later than in this reality.

basically im shifting to an anime thats in japan but im american. is it okay if im japan (with a japanese face claim and name) in that dr or is it wrong to? i dont want to do anything thats insulting others 💔

If you really feel like it's wrong or offensive, listen to yourself: you shouldn't let other people tell you what you should and shouldn't do in your dr. I'd rather not get into this because this debate is definitely a waste of time that can be used to do a lot of other things so instead ..

here are some of my ideas (based off of my drs) if you're planning on shifting to a racially homogeneous country as someone who's a minority in that country:

adoption ⌗ you were adopted into a Japanese family and grew up accustomed to the culture in Japan.

diversity ⌗ in my kpdh dr , I made the demon hunter concept a little more diverse : instead of just South Korea with soul eating demons , I made it open to more countries in the East (China , Japan , Taiwan, etc.) to make it more culturally diverse in order to fit myself in. I've also seen a lot of people create MHA dr's where several characters comes from a different ethnic background other than the ones Horikoshi gave them!

change the narrative ⌗ if there isn't enough options to go for (or you're low on ideas) , make it based off of you! Scipt in a new family tree , add and/or take abilities only your family carries, make that reality your own!

Again, this is based on you, not anyone else so any opinion of your own shouldn't be influenced by others, these are just suggestions if you feel unsure or uncomfortable about the idea ^^

deep in the calm belt, where sea kings roamed and the winds stayed quiet, there was an island of female warriors. it was called amazon lily. ruled by women, and untouched by time or men. and there, a girl was born with a wild and fiery spirit.

her name was dahlia.

from the moment she could walk, she ran. faster than the other girls. she fought the empty air, wrestled wild animals of the island, and talked to the stars. something in her always wanted more.

the women of the kuja tribe raised her with snake weapons, carved strength into her hands and pride into her spine. by ten, she was beating warriors twice her size. it didn’t take too long before she earned her place into the kuja pirates.

but even pirates had limits. even freedom came with rules. there were laws bound in tradition, in fear of the outside world, in the legacy of the empress. the island ran on rules too old and tight. they said they were free, but only within the lines.

the world beyond called to her like a promise. she wanted more than honor. she wanted chaos. she wanted to learn about people, places. the things no one talked about on the island. she wanted to fight men and monsters and gods if it meant she could feel something real.

her questions came quiet at first. then louder. why should we kneel to tradition? why follow laws built from fear? she spoke, and the empress, boa hancock, humored her. once, twice, and then no more.

and so, on one stormy night, she vanished. never to be seen again by her former crew members.

nineteen now, she sails alone. she’s a ghost through the grand line, with her snake marie curled around her shoulders and her chakrams at her sides. she slips in and out of crews, never sticking around. fights come easy, as she’s usually the one that starts them. she’s faced many opponents, and she never once lost.

she lives for the trouble. for the thrill of it all.

but fate, as it often does, had other plans for her.

MOCK TOWN, JAYA

dahlia was in a corner, sat down, with her cloak loose, hood low. marie moved lazily around her shoulders like a living necklace. her chakrams gleamed. she drank slowly, scanning the bar with habit more than caution.

then she saw a trio come in.

the first was a boy in a red vest and straw hat, with a scar stitched beneath one eye. he moved like he had no fear, full of ease and confidence. beside him was a woman with short orange hair and sharp brown eyes. she had a tattoo on her left shoulder. there was caution in the way she walked, every step measured and calculated. and then there was the third. a man. cropped green hair, three golden earrings, three swords tied to his hip, and a black bandana clung to his arm. he carried himself like trouble was routine.

her gaze followed the trio. she turned her focus to the straw hat boy, who was now picking a fight with some greasy man over pie. she scoffed quietly to herself.

then bellamy barged into the restaurant. she knew the name. he was a loud, flashy, ego absorbed mutt. he strutted toward the trio, offered the straw hat boy a drink, and slammed his head into the table mid sip. the swordsman moved fast, sword drawn before anyone could react. the orange haired woman stepped in, trying to de-escalate, asking about sky islands instead. laughter followed. the room mocked them. pirates that dreamed were fools, they said.

the straw hat boy didn’t defend himself. he took every hit. didn’t lift a hand, not even when the swordsman was attacked beside him. he just stood and let it happen. dahlia thought they were fools, idiots, reckless to the point of suicide. and yet, there was something in the way they stood their ground. how stubborn and brave they were. and then, against all logic, she followed them when they were thrown out.

the greasy man from earlier caught up with the trio. said the sky islands were real. told them not to stop dreaming.

there was something off about him, even with the encouraging comments.

when the trio kept walking, she followed them to the ship. when they arrived, their crewmates rushed over to them, asking if they were okay. but then, they sensed an unfamiliar presence on the deck. eyes were quickly on her. the swordsman moved fast. his sword was drawn, pointed at her chest. she didn’t flinch. didn’t even blink.

but now, up close, she saw him. actually saw him. and her confidence wavered for half a second.

his features were sharper than she expected. clean jaw, strong build, and the way he carried himself made her look closer. a bruise was blooming along his temple from earlier, but it didn’t dull him. his brown eyes locked onto hers. they were unreadable. they held her there longer than she meant to stay. something about them pulled.

her gaze drifted to the set of his shoulders, the curve of his arms, the shape of his mouth. his body was built like it had purpose, and it showed. it was distracting. all of him was.

he was magnetic.

something low inside her twisted.

she hated this feeling. attraction. useless and messy. it never ended well for her. and somehow, this time, it was worse; it was for a man, of all people.

it wasn’t like her to care what a man looked like. she didn’t. never had. never gave them a second glance.

so what if he was good looking? didn’t mean anything.

she tore her gaze away, jaw tight, and stood straighter under the weight of his stare. her cloak shifted with her.

she buried the feeling. masked it with practiced arrogance.

he couldn’t see her face yet, not fully. marie shifted, slow and deliberate, and tugged her hood down.

attention snapped to her.

marie lay draped across her shoulders, tongue flicking lazily, unbothered. a blonde, swirly browed man stared at her like he’d just seen heaven. the orange haired woman narrowed her eyes, cautious. the long nosed man tensed visibly. and the green haired swordsman kept staring, as if he was already trying to piece her together. like he already sensed something was off.

bronze skin, wild dark hair, and hazel eyes beneath thick lashes. a pierced brow, lip, and tongue. her chakrams sat gleaming at her hips. marie stayed cool against her collarbones, hissing. somewhere nearby, a tiny reindeer peered out, caught between awe and terror, eyes wide at the sight of the stranger with blades and a snake.

she brushed past the others and told the straw hat captain exactly what they didn’t see coming- she was joining, whether they like it or not.

the orange haired woman accused her of working for bellamy. dahlia shut it down fast, said she’d never roll with a crew of clowns.

the straw hat captain didn’t question her. just looked at marie, then at her weapons. he was curious. maybe even impressed. he asked her name with a grin, like it was the only thing he needed to know. when she answered, he tilted his head, then beamed. said something like, “cool. you can join,” like it was obvious, like she’d already passed some unknown test just by showing up. he didn’t ask where she was from, or what she could do. he just turned and walked off like it was settled.

the swordsman lowered his sword, but not all the way. she walked past him and felt his eyes at her back. it made her skin hot, and she absolutely hated that.

the others weren’t exactly convinced of her just yet. the orange haired woman's arms were crossed, keen eyes tracking dahlia's every move. the long nosed man stood behind the woman, whispering suspicions under his breath. the little reindeer stayed half hidden, peeking out with wide, wary eyes. and the swirly browed man looked like he might swoon right then and there.

and that was how it started. the day dahlia joined the straw hats. a decision that she’ll never come to regret.
