This particular flower was one of several that I scanned in, sketched, converted to a screen print, and also machine embroidered onto plastic.

Some of my first experimentation with screen printing, on paper, net and cotton fabrics, inspired by a Kiki Kogelnik print and used as part of my exploration of the Pompeii ruins titled ‘Human Imprints’.

Drawings of pressed flowers, used as inspiration for the floral prints on the skirt of my final piece and embroidery on the leotard. This project explored femininity and the two contrasting sides of it.
