Who are your favorite Yautja artists and why?

My favorite yautja artists has got to be @isei-bleeds , although they aren’t as active anymore sadly. But they have such nice art style and I like the way they render. Plus I just looove their worldbuilding, it is very creative and I enjoy the ideas they have.

Speaking of which, a more active artist; @n0vathesad , have caught my attention with their new concepts that I’ve not seen before. Their art style is also very unique and I enjoy looking through it. I highly recommend checking them out!

Schalari is the temple guard of the Empire; a hereditary mainly formal role, tasked with guarding the fonding temple from both physical and otherworldly kinds of evil…(also took inspo for her markings from blue ringed octopus)

I'm back at it again with my shitty rendering style

I finally had the energy to rub my two brain cells together to do some serious worldbuilding for my au.

Apparently, my brain is only happy when I have my hyperfixations together in one place 😭. This drawing took a collective 30 hours separated into tree different canvases... I'm tired 🫠

I had a dream that we saw female yautja in killers of killers

They were…

Beautiful.

Like the Sword or japanese predator or whatever was standing outside his mothership. Then, standing at the ramp leading into the ship- there stood 3-4 females.

I got so hyped

Balthor and Khana were fighting these creatures. Khana ended up getting dragged around in the mud. She was not happy…

So I had this dream about a yautja who was like- a dream ghost hunter?? Or like a Djin Hunter?? Like they specialized in hunting down entities out of this world/the supernatural and I thought that was really interesting… might make it real..

Balthor is his official name now yes. He is a big game hunter and what he lacks in brain he makes up for in brawn. And well- Khana gets to compensate for his lack of brains too, like for when he needed an urgent amputation. She even made him that fancy prosthetic! Guess she got… Handy with it, HA!

Also don’t ship these two, they have a platonic relationship.

[Pride month] Strider and Totchi

“I love you so much-” 

Strider's mumbling voice broke the very peaceful silence. Totchi slowly began to wake up, lying in a gentle embrace of Strider's arms, she glanced up with her golden amber eyes. She needed a second to proceed with the words, as she had just woken up from her deep sleep; she curved her mandibles into a smile. She felt the very gentle nuzzle against her cheek, as well as a low rumbling purr from her mate. 

“I know.” She let out a light click and spread her mandibles to a slow, awakened yawn.

The room held a warm glow from the yellow luminescent mushrooms. They hung in lamps, stuck on the ceiling. The scent of earthy herbs and flowers instantly hit their senses. The warmth from the bed and stacks of pelts and hides kept them both soft and cozy.

They both stayed there, not wanting to get up just yet. Strider opened his eyes, his orange color reminded Totchi of the Prime sun’s sunsets, clear and peaceful. They both looked at each other, his softened gaze remained at peace.

“I mean it.” He replied with a clear voice this time, his lips curved to a warm smile, which made Totchi rattle with acknowledgement, her light chuckle made him purr with delight.

She suddenly raised her upper body, letting Strider's arms go limp at his sides. She looked down at him with her dreads brushing against her bare shoulders. Her mandibles flickered, eyes narrowed as her voice turned into a playful tease.

“Mmm- Are you sure? I mean, I was the one who truly confessed to you first-” She mentioned, making Strider have a tint of warmth go across his cheeks, right underneath his mandibles.

A humanish look came across his expression, flustered with slight embarrassment, he rattled.

"You’re right, but- I may have been afraid to approach you, scared if you declined.” Strider explained, making Totchi sit on top of him, crossing her arms. 

“And then instead, you tried to impress me by attending Crest Clash, AND fought against Lou’dre.” She had remarked.

This happened a few days ago, right before the end of the mating season. It usually takes place in the early spring when the Lo-Nyth decorates and prepares the clan's celebration of their goddess of fertility, and holds traditional attractions for the members of the Lo-Nyth, one being the Crest Clash.

Totchi confessed her feelings for Strider a day after the ramming fight.

“Even after my defeat, you still confessed to me, so I must have done something right.” He replied with a short chuckle. Totchi rolled her eyes, and she shook her head a little. She then poked a finger onto his forehead, lightly tapping it.

“It's like I said to you back at Apeax: You always escape your life at hand. After I witnessed that rough blow Lou’dre put you in, I was worried sick, don’t get hurt because of me, and maybe tell me your feelings, dummy!” Her tone still held a soft yet half-serious tone.

“But you like this dummy, don’t you?” He asked, smiling to show his sharp teeth, non-threatening. Totchi retreated her finger from Strider's face and tried her best to look pouty. However, Strider's smile let her break her act. “I do, way too much- But you need to take care of yourself!” She did not let go of the subject. She lied down again, feeling the warmth between them both, the slow heart rhythm, she exhaled comfortably. She felt Strider brushing his hand between her dreadlocks, gently moving through them before he spoke. He then let out a short chuckle, reminded of what he said to Totichi back at Apeax many years ago, when they discussed him attending a deadly Chiva. “Worry about me.” He said, to which Totchi replied with a chuckle. “Nah, not a chance.” Clearly remember back then.

  The moment of silence hit them again, until Strider spoke yet again.

“I love you so much.” “Right back at you.” Totchi replied, letting her nuzzle her head against Strider's neck.
