This is the photo of Mike Matarazzo that I first saw when I was 12 that convinced me of two things: 1) that this is what men should look like, and that every man who doesn’t look like this is wasting his potential and 2) that I would make it my goal to pack on muscle and strength as I grew from boy to man. I revisit this photo frequently, because I need to remind myself of the freakiness of the veins, the hard round bicep peak, the look of sheer arrogance on this alpha god’s face as he leers at his own virile superiority.
