The journey of Nalu

I’ve wanted to write this for a long time because I always think about it too much and none of my friends know Fairy Tail. So I just need to let off steam (steam off? I don’t know…). To anyone who will read this, I’m sorry for the mistakes, but English is not my first language. I’m also sorry for the lenght, I just have so much to say! And I tell you now, these are only my opinions and they may not correspond to the truth.

Anyway, let’s start! First of all, I love Nalu. I read the first volume about five (six?) years ago in Italian and I fell in love with Natsu and Lucy. I’m usually very good at finding couples in a story and my love-radar immediately pointed out to the two of them. So I did a little research and started to read the scans on internet, falling in love with the story of Fairy Tail (yes, I fall in love very often). But why Natsu and Lucy?

I think that at the beginning Mashima wasn’t very sure about the possible pairings between the main characters (and I know that FT is not a romance story, but you know… love is everywhere!). There are moments with Natsu/Lucy, Gray/Lucy, Gray/Erza and Natsu/Erza, at least according to me. Then he made some choices.

I’ve shipped Nalu from the beginning and these are my reasons:

1) The first meeting. It isn’t a romantic moment but it’s the start of everything.
