hi gays in my phone, can u pls take a moment to imagine: kind of heartstopper mixed with buffy the vampire slayer in a gay romcom about a depressed college student becoming a vampire and having to navigate his new life while also crushing on the cute library guy who finds out his secret???? the main character is like, a depressed mess trying desperately to keep his shit together while also being bloodthirsty and full of anxiety? and the love interest is the cares-too-much mom friend who tries to help everyone at his own expense but like, he also unironically loves twilight. and the romance is like, "it's rotten work / not to me, not if it's you" levels of care and devotion but they're also kind of idiots??? and there's some existential dread about the whole immortality thing, but there's also, like, an absurd number of twilight jokes. it's a love story but it's also a love letter to vampires, and paranormal romance. sometimes it deals with difficult topics but then sometimes it's over-the-top and doesn't take itself too seriously. do you see the vision.
