Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.I love film. And music. And art. All forms of art. This was an art blog. Was. Now it is a shrine to the deity that is Neil Gaiman and his holy scripture Good Omens. Also all things Michael Sheen. And David Tennant. And Timothee Chalamet.Meena | She/They | Asexual | Lesbian | Autism/AdhdBorn to create, forced to work, tempted to hyperfixate, does: procastinateI'm here to spread love and socialism and chew bubblegum. Y'all, the world is sleeping on what NASA just pulled off with Voyager 1
The probe has been sending gibberish science data back to Earth, and scientists feared it was just the probe finally dying. You know, after working for 50 GODDAMN YEARS and LEAVING THE GODDAMN SOLAR SYSTEM and STILL CHURNING OUT GODDAMN DATA.
So they analyzed the gibberish and realized that in it was a total readout of EVERYTHING ON THE PROBE. Data, the programming, hardware specs and status, everything. They realized that one of the chips was malfunctioning.
So what do you do when your probe is 22 Billion km away and needs a fix? Why, you just REPROGRAM THAT ENTIRE GODDAMN THING. Told it to avoid the bad chip, store the data elsewhere.
Sent the new code on April 18th. Got a response on April 20th - yeah, it's so far away that it took that long just to transmit.
And the probe is working again.
From a programmer's perspective, that may be the most fucking impressive thing I have ever heard.
You're doing amazing sweetie. Welcome to the madness!!!!!!
Hello.
I'm a Millennial. I'm a lesbian. I'm neurodivergent (ADHD with suspected but yet to be assessed for ASD).
I like Doctor Who, Supernatural, the MCU, Star Wars, Star Trek, Good Omens, and Community. I also like cats and nature but am not particularly a long hike enthusiast.
I'm socially awkward but am interested in meeting people that like some of my interests. I'd love to have friends someday but I don't particularly know how to do it. I was better at it when I was younger but seem to have lost the ability.
Season 1 folds out as it is... purplepants dies.. we all know that... BUT
His come-back in season 2 is something that is so personal to me. As someone battling long-term trauma, it was something that connected to me on a deeper level.
Because in s02ep11 he is not just who he is. He becomes a part of her brain. It is her thoughts and feelings embodied by him. She spends the whole episode battling that. But this is where we all get it wrong don't we. This is where all our therapists and doctors and support networks go wrong. They tell us to fight it. You can't heal from trauma by fighting it. Because it is not virus infecting your body. It's a part of you and you can't and shouldn't fight yourself.
And so that final scene folds out very beautifully. They are both sitting together in peace with each other, as she comes to terms with who she is. The air in the room is quiet and calm. Brilliant city lights glittering on the window. She makes peace with every aspect of herself. And that's when he says,
"I'll be around if you need me".
We spend our whole life's fighting our traumas, our demons, the ghosts of the past that haunt us, not knowing that they are part of what makes us who we are....
as much as I adore David Tennant with all my heart and soul, I despise Kilgrave. I fucking hate him.
David is lovely. Crowley is perfect. The Doctor is amazing. All his roles are great, EXCEPT FOR KILGRAVE.
I HATE KILGRAVE
I don't understand how people can excuse the pure evil that Kilgrave is just because he's played by David
