I fucking love the character that’s like. not really the villain. but definitely not a good guy I mean he’s on our side. but he’s definitely not morally upstanding.
This dinosaur skeleton is incomplete. But, it doesn't look that way to us, because the parts it's missing are parts we don't have.
See how there are ribs on the bottom? Those are called gastralia. That's right, dinosaurs had ribs on their stomachs as well, and modern crocodiles and alligators still have them! (Also, notice that the ribs keep going to the hips instead of stopping above the waist. This is also true of modern birds, and why a bird can't have a concave stomach!)
Next, notice that ring floating in the center of the eye socket? That's called a sclerotic ring! Fish, reptiles, birds--with the exception of mammals (and, oddly enough, crocodilians), pretty much all modern vertebrates still have them! It's literally an eyeball bone. Afaik we haven't found a T-rex specimen with any intact, but since we've found them in other dinosaurs, it's very likely they had them too.
So, keep that in mind next time you see a dinosaur skeleton.
As diabolical as Show Cersei may be, she will never be as messy as Book Cersei who literally tried to seduce Ned Stark into keeping her relationship with Jaime a secret. Like she looked at Lord Eddard Stark, heard every story about him, proceeded to tell him all about how great Jaime feels inside of her, and then thought "I'm pretty enough to change him" and started flirting. I Stan a queen with self confidence bordering on insanity 🙌
With convergent evolution it's always "thylacine" this and "ichthyosaurs" that. Which is valid. But I'm really losing my mind over what's happening with the yellow-throated longclaw and the eastern/ western meadowlark.
These two are separated by over 15 million years of evolution, in two distinct families. What is it about this specific plumage that it was hit upon twice in nearly identical iterations.
