Ident Creation -
This is a screen grab from the creation of our ident, we kept it reasonably simple and use the black into a white colour/effect to suggest something mysterious and ambiguous.

Creating an ident:
I then made a ident for our opening. India i and decided that we would do a ident each as we both found them difficult to figure out. I went to video co-piolit and looked at the different idents, and choose my two favourite ones. After i had picked 2 i watched the tutorials to see how to make them. I found it really hard to follow the tutorials, i found it hard to figure out how to make the ideant, it was my first time making a ident, and probably my last because they stress me out.
However i did manage to make one after a long time of watching the tutorial over and over, and it turned out pretty decent.

Sound Mixing -
This is a screen grab from towards the end of our film when the ‘Thin Man’ is beaten up by Rob & Angela. We added a sound effect when he is knocked over and as the pov is shifted from Rob to the Thin Man himself.

Editing 1
In editing we have added a cinematicscope crop so that the film has a more cinematic look. We feel that it worked quite weel and hope the difference will be noticed when it is shown in the cinema.

Starting To Edit:
Once we started to edit, we wanted to make sure that we built the right atmosphere, similarly to the way directors do in a Spaghetti Western. We carefully chose the right music that we felt fit with the visuals, and I think we achieved that. We kept the editing pretty simple and stuck to the shot list very closely. We added sound effects at necessary times, with things like footsteps and heavy breathing being what we added.
We filled the spaces left open in the scenes with our idents which i think worked well.

Editing: Long shot, Short Take - Analysis
We have looked at long takes and short takes to gain a better understanding of what shots we could use in my opening. A long take is a shot which last an excessive amount of time and leaves the audience wondering whats the meaning of it is, this is where directors have all of the power to really make the viewer's suspicion of whats clues there trying to find, the unusual length of the of the shot will start to make the audience nervous as they have no clue whats really happening which then makes the audience start to interact and look intensely at the scene to understand what the director trying to do. This is a very useful technique as its can really leave a affect on the audience and i believe if done well can make a movie really good. it was the power to create tension, anticipation.
A short take is where the director cuts the shot early in which to create anticipation and confusion making the audience wonder what they missed and what there waiting for to understand what it was that they missed. this is good as it makes the audience curious and they will start to pay close attention.

Reshooting:
We are now planning to reshoot with a tripod and better equipment, this weekend we will use more variety of shots such as close up and medium camera angles so that there isn't just one same shot throughout the opening. We will have it set in the same setting and location and the characters as last time.

The equipment that i used: The camera that i used was a Canon 700 D we filmed that different sections and shots from then talking and then shots of the characters in silence of when we edit so that we could add in the black screen with the cast list and production names.

Location Moodboard
For our locations we need to find abandoned areas that will suit our opening. We are looking for an alleyway a street and possibly other locations which we can add to our film. The most important thing is to get the idea of abandonment and dereliction. Below is a mood-board of images I have researched for the ideal locations.
