This will be a long post so buckle up!
Ever since I have been in London, I catch myself staring at people. Not in a bad or rude way, but in a way of admiration. I want to photograph all the people I see and meet. But there is something standing in my way, me being nervous! Why should I let something like that stand in my way of capturing the truth and beauty I see in someone? I honestly really shouldn’t let that be an issue but a lie I believe is that my art would be offensive.
How can a simple portrait of someone be offensive? It isn’t but the idea of seeing the truth about someone is hard. What I may see in someone as beautiful might be an insecurity to them.
But that is the whole purpose of my intentions! I want to be bold enough to capture the beauty of someone, no matter what it is.
So as I chose which photos to upload, I remember the interactions I had with each person so far. Faint moments in time that God provided for me to have a brief interaction with them.

Finally had the chance to photograph Tower Bridge at night! Had some time over holidays to go explore and take my time enjoying it all. Also, I didn’t have to wait until the late hours of the evening for it to get dark.

Guess what today is... FASHION FRIDAY!
Missed last week due to fasting technology, but in my opinion these photos are well worth the wait.
Please enjoy these photos of Lucas! Honestly these could be from GQ.
Peep my denim jacket :)

One of the few good things, ok probably the only good thing, to come out of Covid. Not a lot of people getting in the way of my photos.
Sometimes you just have to find the blessings that are in front of you.

Another FASHION FRIDAY coming at cha.
Lately I have noticed that a lot has changing in my photo world. Everything from my subject matter, editing process and aesthetic. It has been quite exciting over here.
I have been really enjoying having the opportunity to shoot along side one of my awesome track leaders. She is one of the editors of our ministry’s magazine, CHASM MAGAZINE (go check them out).
Each Friday, we highlight a staple piece from someone’s wardrobe. I love seeing what they choose and how they style it.

Ok, so the photo gang took a field trip to the Tate Modern yesterday.
Honestly, I was really underwhelmed by the museum but I really just chalk it up to COVID. A lot of the galleries were empty or closed off. I would say that I felt disappointed, however I really wasn’t because I went with some really awesome people.
I usually venture out to museums alone because not everyone enjoys spending their time looking at art...or art that is questionable when it comes to the title.
These new found friends of mine made it much more memorable with all the laughs and jokes.
Thanks for making this trip much more worth it.

Food Fridays!
Have the pleasure of photographing some awesome food from taboo culinary arts these past two weeks. Let me just tell you I have never had food this good in my life ever… Sorry mom!
I was really impressed by talent that these amazing ladies have. Everything that they bake or cook looks so beautiful, you can tell how refined their craftsmanship is.
Yes! Food is art!

Accidentally found Buckingham Palace.
It turned out to be such a beautiful day, and surprised that not a lot of people were out and about. It still blows my mind to have the ability to go see such great places all in one city.
Sadly I didn’t have my camera with me ( I know I know!), but please enjoy these iPhone photos instead.

Recently, we had the chance to learn about the four Temperments and the pros and cons that come with each.
Our assignment was to visually create photos that highlighted one or two of the Temperments.
Well, I have discovered that I am more Meloncholic than Sanguine, and it really showed through my work.
I wanted to take a really honest approach to these feelings and traits that I experience. Moments of peace, longing, anticipating, self view (either good or bad) and loneliness.
