He continued to avoid her gaze, the guilt slowly getting to him. Seto opened his mouth, and closed it, staying quiet for a minute or so. It felt like he was slowly realizing his actions, and he started tearing up.

"I..." his breathing hitched, a tear coming down his cheek. Quickly, his hands went to his face, as if to hide. "Y... yes.... I-I...."

  The way he said it made it obvious that he was leaving something out. The look on his face as he contemplated whether to say it or not was another hint. She didn’t want to pry but she felt like he was hiding the truth from her for some reason. 

  Taking a deep breath, she nodded. 

        “A-Alright…W-Was there any reason why you did..? ….D-Did you do it on purpose?” 

   She tried to talk quietly to try and not seem pushy.

Though, he read over something Yotaro sent. Those words were very familiar...

Atsuko: Someone at the hospital told me Atsuko: Not to listen to jerks either..... Atsuko: I guess I should know better, haha.....

Oh no. No he didn't want him to find out about this at all. He could feel the guilt in the other's messages.

Atsuko: but Atsuko: some of it is true... Atsuko: i just overreacted alright Atsuko: you dont need to apologize......

"……………" For a moment,he only heard his own heart beat echoing in his ears. It was because of what he said. Someone almost died…someone tried to kill themselves…

Yotaro: Don't..lie., Yotaro: I said some bad stuff.. Yotaro: I'm not mad.. Yotaro: I'm so sorry for what I said. Yotaro: Don't listen to whatever I said before..

No he couldn’t just drop the conversation now….He had to know.

A small sigh of relief escaped the boy, who started picking at his fingers, waiting for the reply. Did.... Did he really believe it? He was almost glad.... His friends shouldn't feel bad. Slowly, Seto tried to move away from the subject.

Atsuko: Yeah, I should, haha.... Atusko: Make sure you never take medicine in the dark....!

He stared at the messages…His thoughts seemed to be confirmed…was it..because of what he said..?

Oh god..it..probably is….

He couldn’t bring himself to believe it..His words…were they that cruel? His attempt to cut ties with others..seemed to be hurting them more than he had thought. It made his chest ache thinking of the other’s thoughts when it happened.

Yotaro: oh... Yotaro: You..should be really careful taking medication yknow? Yotaro: Just take what it says on the bottle or what docs say..

Seto jumped at the ping of a new message. Clicking over, he stopped when he saw who sent it. Was he.... still mad? Slowly reading over the other's text, he bit his lip. The boy didn't really want to say; it was his fault for doing it, and his fault alone.

Atsuko: Oh um.... Atsuko: I just... took too much medicine.... Atsuko: So now they're trying to be careful, haha........

Atsuko: They let me know that the medicine cabinet is going to be locked now…….. 

For some reason,those words made him uneasy. She was said to be at the hospital..he was stupid but not that stupid..Then again,he couldn’t be too sure on what exactly..the only thing left to do was ask. 

His hands trembled as he typed out a message. He stared at it,unable to click enter. His heart pounded,no..if he had the nerve to speak to the other to say horrible things to her,then he needed to be able to find out what had happened.

Friend.... It was a nice word, especially hearing it instead of reading it from text. He tried to calm his nerves a bit. "It's okay.... I-I'm not too good at it either," the boy confessed, continuing to pick at his fingers. "It's... nice to meet you, though...." Even if the setting wasn't as nice.

A pause. Should.... Should he tell her? Seto had thoughts going through his head. She might get upset at him, or get stressed out.... And Yotaro might hate him even more if she found out about everything.....

"Uh......" he started, his throat slowly closing up, but he knew he had to say something. "I... I just..... Took too much medicine last night........." Technically he wasn't lying, but.....

He was starting to get nervous. Gosh, this must be surprising for her…! He looks down at his sheets, hoping she’d feel better if he didn’t look at her(?)—

"S-Sorry, I thought you knew…!" He did use a boy character online… Was it the name? Fidgeting with the bedsheets, he looked up at the bag, and attempted a smile, trying not to make it obvious that he was nervous. "Th… Thank you for bringing me stuff..!" Giving her a smile, he still avoids eye contact. Then she asked the question.

"………." Seto hesitated again, frowning. "W… well….." He stopping playing with the sheets and starting to pick at his fingers instead. A nervous habit, really. "Just…. something happened last night, and….. I wasn’t thinking straight, I guess….."

He was starting to get nervous. Gosh, this must be surprising for her...! He looks down at his sheets, hoping she'd feel better if he didn't look at her(?)--

Seto had been waiting for Mari to show; after getting lost earlier, he decided it was best to stay in his room. The boy kept his eye on his phone, in case she had trouble or didn't know where he was. Soon, he heard the light knocking on his door.

Looking over, he gave his visitor a smile. Was this Mari? She looked as nice as he imagined.

"Hello, Mari...!" he started, but faltered a bit at her next words. "Ah, yeah... I thought you knew...?

  After stopping by the store and picking up the few things that the other had asked for, the girl walked into the lobby and gave the lady at the front desk the information her friend gave her. It took her awhile to find the room but once she did she smiled a bit and took a deep breath.

    Knock Knock.

  Stepping in, she smiled her normal happy smile.

       ”H-Hi Atsuko…! How a-are you feelin—” 

  She stopped seeing the face of the other. Oh god…Oh. 

       ”Y-You’re a-a guy..?”
