I might go back to my writing project for these characters tbh. Though, I kinda wanna rewrite the first part for the Aegis Athenaeum story cus I feel like the beginning narrative is not interesting enough for me to write. I like seeing how my characters react to the Catastrophe, sure, but I really want to get into the narrative of how they deal with it.

Also Im kind of doubting the overall storyline of Zodiac Plains ngl. I love their type of story, and Ive had it for years so Ive thought of different scenarios, but idk maybe they just need a purpose or smth. I'll sit on that for a while probs.

The end of the year is coming to an end, and truth be told it’s been a bit hard on my mental health;; But I really did want to wish everyone well during the holidays so I wanted to doodle something ;;v;; I drew some of my main ocs for certain fandoms ^o^

I wanted to scribble a concept really quickly. The concept being a “what if Cloudia changes her hairstyle somewhere along the way during her travels?”

Her hair length is inconsistent because she has a hairbrush that allows her to change her hairstyle. Although in this case, I wanted Cloudia’s hairstyle to reflect a change in her character.

Cloudia’s whole deal, I guess, is that she initially roleplayed a persona who is very gentle, lady-like, calm and dignified. Her persona is partially because she is rather shy, but as time goes by she starts to lose that persona and become more outgoing. She had always been a tomboy too.

Compared to her (what is supposed to be) princess curls (my depiction of them is terrible I know), I wanted to give her a more free hairstyle if that makes sense.

Either way, I still think Cloudia is very cute, and I like it when she’s more herself than trying to hide behind her persona.

OC concepts! 

King Grimmald’s concept was done last year. He is the guild master of Phoenix Glory in Jean Drapeau. He’s a Human Guardian who goes around as a loud, good-natured yet arrogant, leader, but he is actually a quiet person who prefers to spend his time writing novels irl. He has a whole gold motif which is pretty funny. It’s really gaudy.

Nox’s concept was also done last year. She’s an Elf Assassin with the Demon Lord subclass because I wanted to try playing around with that? Sort of? I have many ocs because the ideas keep coming ;;v;; Nox used to be a griefer type? Either way, when the Apocalypse came she treated the situation heavily as a game and was one of those who would PK others. She eventually changes for the better though. I guess to a degree she’s similar to Demikas now that I think about it. Oops.

The last oc concept was done today. Her name is Sunny and she’s part of this traveling group of Bards/people with musical subclasses! She’s a Human Bard and while she’s not the leader of the Euphonious Nights, she’s the one in charge of all the publicity and arranging performances. She’d make a pretty good MC if given the chance.

This’ll probably be a wip for a while because work is really busy, but I did a warmup of my first Log Horizon oc Annallie!!

Initially she was a self-insert oc for a thing but after some time I stopped using her for uhhh reasons. I loved Annallie a lot though so I felt bad and didn’t want to “delete” her and the guild she is a part of. What I did was that I remade the guild with Percival, the new guild master and basically bumped all the characters into it. Since most of the oc roles in the guild were placed by me, I kept most things the way they are.

Originally, Annallie was a hardworking secretary/admin type member of the guild. She still does all the admin work and inventory management etc though. She manages the work inside the guild while Percival handles all the outside stuff like interpersonal relations, handling people, etc.

Though Annallie does all this work, her specialty is actually within the production side of things. She’s a creative person who is mostly found holed up in her lab working on her Alchemy subclass to make items for business.

…I guess I need to change the guild from Adventurer Support to Production lmaoooo but the whole point of the guild is information dealing. I guess the production stuff is on the side to raise more funds for the small guild.

Personality wise, she’s still cheerful and awkward with a relaxed and timid disposition, but I think lately I’ve been giving her a little bit of a cheeky “trickster” vibe too. Idk I guess she’s quirky? Lol

Anyways, I love Annallie ♡

“Lady Cloudia? When are you going to sleep?” “Huh? Oh, sorry Soleil, I’m still not used to drawing maps by hand.”

Okay so I’m not very good with things like overskills but little Soleil is the result of Cloudia’s eventual overskill? I’m working on it… Since Cloudia is a Summoner, I wanted to try something based on that. Yep. I really tried. Cloudia’s hair is different here because she undid her usual heavy curls.

Mist Cloudia’s Overskill ☆ Soul-bound Familiar Can create one special summon called a familiar. Since her familiar is unlike the usual summon, Cloudia can call upon both her familiar and a registered summon at the same time. Both Cloudia and her familiar have some shared stats resulting in the two having stats less than Cloudia’s original base stats when this overskill is active. Cloudia’s stats return to normal when the skill is inactive.

☆ Cloudia’s familiar : (Race, class, subclass, level) Soleil *Summon ( I guess? ) || Sorcerer (Combat Rage Build) ( Probably???) || Familiar ( I guess again??? ) || Lvl 85 

*Technically she’s a special kind of summon with magical abilities like Cloudia but I guess since Cloudia is a Summoner I made Soleil a Sorcerer? Idk man.

Soleil is about the size of a young girl whose appearance is similar Cloudia’s irl appearance. Despite also having the added appearance of a Foxtail, Soleil does not have the Foxtail’s racial abilities. Her armament is light and fitting for a magical user but somehow, she has a shield that she frequently uses to keep Cloudia safe.

 Her personality is drawn from the way Cloudia acts around her, akin to a child learning from their parent. She has a child-like wonder and a sense of innocence that vanishes when she has to fight battles. Soleil has a lot of Cloudia’s personality traits as a result, but as time passed Soleil also began to develop her own personality. 

Soleil was summoned during a particularily difficult dungeon where Cloudia desperately kept wanting to push forward despite dying several times. Severely weakened by a hurt morale and insecurities with her leadership, Cloudia’s wish to do better for her comrades finally came true when she unlocked her overskill “Soul-bound Familiar." 

Soleil’s specialty as a familiar is being able to sense the wish and emotion of Cloudia, allowing Soleil to work in tandem with her without any words of communication. It was as if Soleil was an extension of Cloudia, giving Cloudia a chance to focus on her critical thinking while Soleil watched her back. The two of them became very close as a result, like a mother and child, faithful friends, and partners.

The event within the MMORPG game Elder Tale, known as the “Catastrophe,”  affected a large number of players worldwide. Because of this event, many players were at a loss of what to do. Within The Other World, is a series of one-shots with fan characters of Log Horizon that tells the stories of how they dealt with the Catastrophe. How some handled the situation from the moment the Catastrophe struck to the moment some finally figured out what they were going to do while living in the Elder Tale world. This is their new reality.
