Joey watched her leave and come back, a smile on her lips as she whispered. She didn’t bother to say anything back, just followed her to the room. Once in the room, Joey kicked off her shoes and pulled her jacket off before walking towards the stand. She poured wine into a glass and watched the brunette before reaching and opening her robe up a little more “would look better with that off” she mumbled as she took a drink.

nalini looked down at the fingers that were opening her robe and she smirked as she looked up. “would it now?” she purred and reached up to take her glass out of her hand and sipped it before putting it back on the nightstand. “well, i’m not going to undress myself.” she told her with a purse of her lips and just waited. she wasn’t exactly a bottom but she enjoyed being taken care of for sure.

Joey had just finished her shift at the diner, when she felt her phone go off. A small smile on her lips, she knew exactly what the text meant and she couldn’t deny that she was in need to get off. She quickly responded and then headed towards her friends place. She looked at herself in her car mirror, hoping to make herself look presentable in her dress from the diner. She knocked on the door and rocked back and forth on her heels, looking down before the door opened. She smiled kindly and stepped inside “why don’t we bring the bottle and enjoy it elsewhere.” she smirked as she dropped her back.

she smiled and went into the living room to grab her bottle and two glasses. she came back to joey and leaned in, not kissing her but instead whispering. “follow me.” before she walked up the stairs, swaying her hips as she went, walking into her bedroom to put the bottle and the glasses down on her nightstand and sitting down on the edge of her bed, crossing her legs and reclining a little, her robe falling open slightly. she just smirked.

“Okay” he smiled at the other before sitting himself down, folding hands around the coffee cup in front of him. “Wow, I didn’t even think about people living here their whole lives” his eyes widened at the idea of there being so much out there they’d never seen.

“well, before i was eighteen, i did travel quite a bit... now with the whole travel ban thing, it’s a little less but hey, i have seen some of the world.” she clarified with a chuckle. “but there are people whom i think have never left this island. where are you from?” she wondered.

nalini had been working hard all weekend and as she sat on her couch in her nightie, drinking a glass of red wine at eleven pm, finally giving herself a break, she had scrolled through her phone and texted her most relaxing friend. joey. sure, the girl was younger than her and they could barely classify as friends with benefits because there wasn’t much of a friendship that they had but if the girl was ever in trouble, she’d help. if she ever needed to talk to someone, she’d listen. if she was horny, nalini gladly helped. that’s how they worked and she liked it. casual, no strings attached and just plain good sex.

when her doorbell rang, she pulled on her black satin robe, covering her blood red nightie and went to open the door. “come on in.” she said with a smirk as she stepped to the side, closed the door behind her friend and leaned back against the door. “so...” she started, already undressing the woman with her eyes. “are we going to pretend we’re here to share a friendly glass of wine or shall we not bother?” she asked, never having a problem with getting straight to the point.

leaning against the bar counter, maia held the landline phone to the bar to her ear just listening to the person on the other side give her a mouthful, all things she didn’t need in that moment.. so eventually as the other calmed down, maia took a deep breath, biting her lips before placing the phone back down exhaling as she did, her head kinda just hanging low, a look that wasn’t one you’d see maia in often, or ever for that matter. “fuck me..” she muttered before hearing the bell at the door go off, forcing her to look up to see who it was.

“well, i mean, i would be let me buy me dinner first.” nalini said with a chuckle and then tilted her head. “are you alright?” she wondered, making her voice a little softer as she came up to the counter and rested her hands. she didn’t want to make light of someone’s bad day.

It was then that the realization that he’d completely interrupted her hit him “i’m so sorry, you were obviously busy and I got way too enthusiastic about meeting a stranger” he ran a nervous hand through his hair as he looked down at her laptop in front of her. “I can go, i’ve already been enough of a bother at this point”.

she shook her head and held up her hand. “please, don’t worry. it is alright. sit, please.” she said, feeling bad for the young guy. “i’ve lived here all my life, if you have questions, you can ask.” she told him with a kind smile.

she looked at her laptop and then at the kid. “i mean, i sort of have work... but i mean, yeah uhm... sit down.” she told her. he was so polite, she couldn’t just point him away now, could she?

she smiled at that suggestion and shrugged. “i spend most of my days at the office. i really don’t think it’s fair to have an animal be alone from 7am until 8 or 9pm... i don’t think that constitutes as good pet owner behavior.” she told him. “but again, if someone wants a pet i’ll direct them straight to you for info.”

Zayden huffed as he looked at the pile of flyers he had failed to hand out for his dog walking services. The business had been going well but he figured a little more promotion couldn’t hurt. After three hours all he wanted to do was go home. He looked up from the bench offering the stack to the nearest person. “Hey, you want some free scrap paper. Yes, it’s green but just think about how it’ll just liven up your day to day notes and look there’s even a picture of a puppy on the back. It just keeps getting better.”

what was it with people and putting things in her face today. she just wanted to go home. she looked at the paper and at him. “i have no where to put that, kid, sorry.” she said and took a flyer anyway. “i don’t have a pet but if someone needs a dog walker i’ll recommend you, alright?”

Tristan was still pretty new in town, and he wasn’t really a fan of not knowing many people so he did his best to introduce himself to any and everyone he saw. This time was no exception, equipped with a coffee he spotted someone on the patio by themselves. He sauntered over with a smile and immediately stuck his hand out in an introduction “hey, i’m Tristan”.

she was looking over some e-mails when a hand suddenly appeared between her face and her laptop screen. she frowned and looked up. she was a little confused as she took his hand. “i’m nalini.” she said, a little slow as she was a bit hesitant. “can i help you?” she asked as she let go of the stranger’s hand.

( priyanka chopra, 34, she/her ) there’s  nalini dewan, haven’t seen them in a while. they were born here and is known as the workaholic around here. they are a lesbian cisfemale and i know they are an  lawyer. they seem determined and organized, but also stubborn and self-centered. i heard they have a wolf on the right side of their ribcage. so, i guess they are paired with veronica perez and an unknown male, can’t wait to see how it goes.

let me tell you about miss independent

             - nalini dewan is the daughter of first generation indian immigrants and it sure wasn’t easy growing up. they moved here to find their soulmate, which was each other and had three daughters. nalini is the middle child.

            - not only was her family less than wealthy but nalini fit into the american society seamlessly. she had never known any different, but her parents wanted her to stay true to her heritage. it isn’t that she doesn’t appreciate her family’s background nor does she reject her religion, she just isn’t as dedicated to it was her parents are.

            - nalini had dreams much bigger than getting married and working being a housewife. she has no problem with people wanting to do that but it wasn’t her and the idea of marrying a man just made her stomach turn. 

            - her mother tried to match her with several good indian boys until she finally had enough and told her mother that she was gay - loudly. in a full supermarket. not the best decision she’s ever made. they’ve never talked about it again, but the matches have stopped since then.

            - she has always been a hard worker and has always loved to achieve. the rush a good grade gave her didn’t compare to anything in this world. she got a scholarship to go study law and after that, she became a junior lawyer at a law firm.

             - she has specialized in environmental and family law but her main business is defense. she loves her job and you can easily say that she’s addicted to it.

            - she has chosen to keep living here because she honestly doesn’t have the time to go out and date. she just hopes to find the woman that has a wolf tattoo and make it work - and if it’s not romantic then she’ll just have a great friend and be done with it. it seems efficient, though not very romantic. she generally just isn’t very romantic, but maybe actually falling for someone and finding her soulmate could change that for her?
