It made Victor become both thoughtful and slightly melancholic for a moment, recalling his own struggles with getting used to his current state, the intense anger, lapses in depression and grief that came with it at first. He raised an eyebrow at the sudden self-interruption, but only for a brief moment. Dealing with other people’s sentimental problems and acting as a confidant of the sorts were not up to his alley. Moreover, such an issue felt trivial to him, hence his quick resuming to his book. At least, until she asked him a question.

“Of course, here.”

He temporarily placed his book down, so as to retrieve the needed artbook. Then, went back to reading.
