t’via sighed and tilted her head in empathy, “ i understand your dilemma... your father was a great man ” she continued, “ but you’re greater... you helped stop nero from destroying earth, millions of innocent lives. and even with vulcan destroyed, many vulcans escaped because of you and the crew of enterprise... you’re a greater and you don’t acknowledge it...”

⋆✧ ⋆✧  t’via smiled widely as she took in her surroundings. she was very excited to be finally on a starship and go see the rest of the galaxy. after being on new vulcan and earth, she grew tired and impatient of the wait of her upcoming starfleet assignment. when she got word that her cousin was in the same starship as her, t’via was more excited than she expected. the last time she saw her dear cousin spock was when they were both on vulcan. t’via recalled that the last time when they spoke was when spock was leaving for starfleet and t’via was a bit jealous of spock of leaving vulcan. but now, they were finally reuniting. 

“ well, i thought i should come here a bit early to see you ” t’via continued, “ the last time we spoke was when you left for starfleet...” a pause came over her as she remembered vulcan. their homeplanet was gone... but most importantly, spock’s mother was not alive anymore. t’via’s smile then died, “ i also wanted to see how you were... since vulcan, i’ve heard somethings about what happened... ”

⋆✧ ⋆✧  t’via softly smiled, “ it’s okay nyota, really! ” she continued, “ in fact, it almost made me happy that you associated me with the vulcans... even though i was raised by two loving vulcan parents, many outside of my family do not appreciate an outsider adapting the life of vulcan society... it is almost a taboo in vulcan to take an outsider -- especially an unknown alien species -- to be raised in the vulcan way... ”

when nyota asked about t’via species’ , t’via glanced down at her feet, “ i do not know anything about my species... not even the most intelligent people can figure it out ” she continued, “ i was found in an alien escape pod as a newborn, my father and spock’s father found me... i do not know anything about my biological family, neither does my adopted family... the only thing i know is that i possess an ability in telepathy, empathy,  super-hearing, and farseeing- i can also adapt the vulcan mind melding and nerve pinch... some of the vulcan scientists think i might be a distant relative to the vulcans, but they are still studying my genetics.. .”
