she’d generally be angry. something about a jolting stop makes her blood run hot. but… it’s technically her fault for not paying attention. and now she has to deal with the consequences. scalding consequences. “fuck.” alex’s low, guttural hiss is an instinctive response to her skin being soaked with coffee. boiling. hot. coffee. ouch.

  “yeah, no kidding.”

an element of saving face comes into play. don’t let this blatant alpha bitch see you in pain. grit your teeth, make eye contact and square your shoulders. step the fuck up, alex.

  “looks like i owe ya.” panic and aggression are an amazing confidence boost. alex levels downward eye contact and maintains it. “’less you wanna drink it off the floor.” take it or leave it, goldilocks… and ignore how red my arm’s going.

Doesn’t have the energy to be bitchy, to make some biting comment and push past the other. Shoulders SLUMP, gaze dropping to the cup rolling around on the floor. Brooke is simply a shell of the person she used to be, and truth be told she’s glad about it. Glances back across the street to the coffee shop, decides that no amount of PRIDE is worth sacrificing a fresh cup of the caffeine Brooke relies on these days.  

“ I’m not that desperate for a BOOST, another cup would be swell, “ whilst she could offer an apology, the blonde isn’t ready to let go of that portion of her old self just yet. “ To make up for the SCALDING, I’ll get you an iced coffee in return. Least you can put it against your arm, “ it’s half a joke, said with a quirk of her eyebrows before she’s nodding over to the building.

he’s way too focused on his phone , trying to see if mister lodge would text him back , but he has no answer. with the black hood still out there , archie wasn’t sure what to do anymore. he’s afraid that someone he cares about will get hurt again. he didn’t want that to happen - he wouldn’t let it happen. just as he looks up , archie bumps into someone , making the femme drop her coffee onto the floor , causing him to instantly f r e e z e.  “   god - i’m so sorry.  ” he instantly says , brown hues flickering to the ground. “   i can get you another one - i wasn’t watching where i was going i’m -   ” he’s a mess , that’s what he is - and archie didn’t know how to fix it all. “   i’ll just get you another one , yeah ??  ”

Brooke’s been in this town for the grand total of a week, and she’s starting to think the move wasn’t such a great idea. Tensions are HIGH, with rumour of some masked killer ( she’s had enough of those to last a lifetime ). It seems like a carbon copy of Lakewood, except she has no friends here. The blonde sighs, running a hand through her hair. This guy looks PRETTY strung out, and she knows being a complete bitch won’t gain her much. “ Don’t worry about it, “ she waves her free hand dismissively. “ Honestly, it was pretty CRAPPY coffee.
