When I first played Halo 3 on September 25th, 2007, I met with a group of friends online and we played all the way through the campaign on legendary in a single go, and I was player 3, N'tho Sraom. Ever since then I've always had a special connection to this character!

I remember reading his bio in a bungie weekly update and I thought he was a cool character before the game was even released. It was mindblowing that there were different characters to play as in campaign, and Elite characters no less.

I want to facilitate info dumps and fawning: reblog with your favorite Sangheili extras in Halo lore. What low-tier spaghetti have caught your eye and got you in a desperate chokehold?

I'm surprised at this take! CE is the most animated and talkative we see him until Halo 4. I enjoyed Chief's characterization in CE.

II’m replaying Combat Evolved right now, I just finished watching the ending cutscene for Assault on the Control Room; and wow Steve Downes’ first time as Master Chief was messy.

Jen Taylor is great, even with the wonky dialogue -calling the Covenant “clever bastards” when she sees them docking their boarding craft in the escape pod bays, or the ring’s data archives “glorious” when plugged into the core- but man Downes’ performance here doesn’t measure up to the later games.
