A cut dialogue bit from TRN, where the engineer’s son explains how Jake Hurley was possibly crazy. He also mentions a rumor that there are “famous people” on board the train (obviously referring to John, Tino, Charleena, and Lori, respectively).
Thank you anon for the request!

You know, the narration for this teaser trailer does say that Nancy is 16 years old and that second to last photo is *technically* implied to be her, so I guess that's the closest we get to seeing her face.

Loulou’s various unused sayings that, according to the sound file names, she would say when trying to speak to her at night in CUR. In the final, she only says “Say goodnight, Gracie" when you try to talk to her, so these were probably intended to provide variety rather than repeating the same line.

I love that they just reused the phone from CAR for this teaser. I guess maybe they had a short turnover time.

Danger By Design Scavenger Hunt:
3. Hotel de Ville/ Yellow Metro Sign
I was happy with my yellow metro sign because it had the added bonus of being at Denfert Rochereau, the metro stop for the catacombs in Danger by Design.
I could not get closer to Hotel de Ville than this, as you can tell by the guard who my mother got a picture because she thought he was hot. (On a side note, I discovered Hotel de Ville is not a hotel, but rather it is City Hall!)

So as usual I was searching old magazines for mentions of HeR and found this interview with an author for the ND Girl Detective graphic novels in an issue of a Totally Spies! comic
"This is a particularly exciting story, since we worked on it with HER Interactive, the makers of the great Nancy Drew Computer games - so in our story Nancy runs into some of the characters she originally met in a computer mystery game!"
I had no idea that there was cross over between the games and these graphic novels so naturally I'm intrigued.
The characters that cross over in the issue in question: Malacai Craven. Of all people.
He's been upgraded to just kind of an annoying guy to full on super villainy. Also Nancy gets attacked by a lizard. The interview did mention "characters" plural but the only one in this issue (as far as my quick pursuing can tell) is Craven. I am intrigued enough to investigate other issues for game characters.

Adding the notes from the Amateur Sleuth blog under here for my own record-keeping.
Today during my work I was listening to video walkthroughs of Danger by Design, and pondered a question someone asked me about JJ Ling. I went searching for the answer, (and found it) but discovered concept art of the characters I hadn’t seen before! So I have to share them with you!
I love the diversity of our Nancy Drew characters! They are a mix of everything; cliche’s, stereotypes, stereotypes that are broken, characters with simple backstories and characters with complicated backstories. I love it all.
Jing Jing Ling is an interesting one – she has an Australian accent, is a plus-size model, but is of mixed race. In her notes for the game it just says to make her “exotic” looking, so the character designer combined many things for her look.
Minette, of course, is a quirky character. In the game notes for her, it says Minette’s original name was Tammy Burns. I’m not sure if this fact is even in the game, but it’s still cool!
Posted on August 24th, 2017.

still poking around in the wayback machine for old HeR content and came across this concept art from DAN on the blog. the blog post in question is from 2017 but for whatever reason I don’t remember seeing them shared around here (though of course I could be completely wrong).

The first of two unused Easter Egg clips in The Haunted Carousel. There was also a different question asked that you had to correctly answer before the egg was placed in your inventory, asking “What is the capital of New Zealand?”

A less static-y version of Sally warning Nancy about the dogs in DOG. The static in this version is still heard, however you can actually hear what Sally is saying over the static, unlike the final dialogue, where the static overpowers Sally.
