Its very important that health and safety needs to be a focus of the shoot. No one wants to get hurt on location to a risk assessment and a reece will need to be done before shooting

Analyse TV shows/ Short films and Documentaries
Analyse TV shows/ Short films and Documentaries
1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CY2p7NiWA00
The reason I picked this video for my analyse is because it has the same style as I want to use. I want to so the aggression within the cyclist that nothing can hold them back and the way this video. The film also gives the audience the emotion that happens on a track day or event. Makes them feel determined and inspired as nothing can hold you back so if someone with a disability can do it so can they as the audience might have an easier time to do it.
2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwDcRxX1Atw
The reason I choice this as my content video is because it is actually about Finlay. It gives me information about his childhood, career and disability. It gives me a great insight into Finlay, and I am able to ask questions that can get straight to the point
This also shows that I can do the short documentary in under 3 minutes as I can get straight to the point with structuring the video and how I am able to film Finlay when he is training. It gives me a great template to structure my one film. I will not be copying this film I would just be using it as a guide to how I can structure my own film and what content I can put into my film.
3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAEBNEscL0c
The reason why I choose this video is it has the same technical aspect as what I want to do. I want to be able to do slow pans and zooms into the subject whilst Finlay is cycling. This gives the film some movement which keeps the audience interested in the film and keeps them invested as they see movement within the shot and get interested in what is happening.
It also has tracking shots of the subject moving forward whilst we see his emotions. I would like to do a shot like that as it gives movement to the shot and shows the characters emotions which can lead into the story of what is happening

It is important to have a Location agreement and a contributor agreement. This is so all party's know exactly what the footage will be used for and where the footage will end up. Its very important that the contributor knows exactly what the footage will be used for and where the footage will end up as it is their face in the video. Its also important whoever is in charge of the location knows when you will be filming, Where in the facility you will be using.
Its very important as well to get any copyrighted footage, Music or stills cleared by the original creator of the content. This can be anything from a verbal agreement or a written contract that allows you to use to footage for the purposes you have stated in the contract.

Two Source Content research
1. https://www.britannica.com/sports/ice-hockey
This website is a good source for content as it has the history about the sport in detail from when it started to now, has the equipment they use during a game and the rules behind the game.
This is useful as I can ask Craig questions in detail about the history of the sport and what the equipment is like for him during a game. This website helps with building strong questions to ask Craig for the run up to games and for what the rules are during the game. This website also gives me what leagues there are in the world. This helps me as Craig played in 3 different leagues, I can find what value those leagues are in the world and what the names of them where so this helps me create accurate questions and content.
2. https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/aboutpara-cycling?c=EN
The reason why I picked this website is because it gives u every detail about Para cycling. The site is reliable as it is from the British Cycling website. The site goes into detail about the history of the sport, Different events and the categories within the event and how they are labelled during the vents when they are taken place.
This website will be useful as I can get to know the sport a little better and ask questions about the sport to Finlay Instead of this the basics about his career I can ask him questions like which of the categories is favourite to compete in and which ones he doesn’t like as much. This helps to create a story around Finlay as I can get the audience to find out more information about him.

Tips
1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXzLvYN-HSc
The reason why I choose this video as a resource is because it shows the importance in what b-roll does to your film. It shows you can tell a story through b-roll and keeps the video interesting and exciting. It can also show the creativity in your film making and make you stand out from the crowd with B-Roll as this is your style of filming.
The video shows you what a video would look like without B-roll and with B-Roll. It almost night and day difference. It shows your creative side as well as your story telling. If you can show a story visually and make the content interesting, then anyone will watch what you make. I learned all this from this video.
2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7ENEuqXDwY
The reason why I choose this video as a resource is because it shows you creative ways to set up an interview and how to make your interview stand out. From different lighting, tips about location scouting and different types of angles to use this video covers it all. It shows different types of lighting can show different types of emotion within the scene. It also shows how different camera angles can show different styles and that you should always try to put some movement into shots as this will keep the viewer interested in the film.
It covers audio and how important it is not to set the microphones too close or too far away from the subject. It also shows what level the audio should be at and where to put lapel microphones to stop any noise problems or audio problems happening. A really good resource to make your interviews stand out from everyone else’s.

Decision
Craig
The reason I wanted to do this mini doc on Craig was because he has an interested story to tell. Born in Kirkaldy Craig played for Dundee stars as a kid later on playing for Scotland’s under 13s. He then won a scholarship to train in America and Canada with teams that could give him game time and experience. He then travelled home playing for Team GB under 20 and wining the world cup with them. The story will tell of the highs from the awards and the lows of missing family and injuries. It’s also good as he is only 24 and has got years to go until he has to retire. It’s good to find out where he sees himself in the future and where he thinks he will go from there.
Finlay
The reason why I didn’t pick this idea was because it would have been complicated to do. I found out that Finlay is going to be away in Canada for the shoot dates so would not be able to make it for the dates given. I also decided it would be easier to do a film about Ice Hockey as Craig is my cousin but Finlay is just a friend who is super busy.

Ideas, feedback and Practical, Possible or ethical ideas
Idea 1 Summary
This idea is About Craig Moore who made a name for himself in the Ice hockey world by becoming a Gold medals in the Under 20s Olympics. Find out About his awards and who he has played for. What he started out as and how he got into Ice Hockey. Find out his best moments within the sport and worst Injuries. The target audience would be between the ages of 16-34 as the style will be more aimed to them. The target audience will also be anyone into Ice hockey or are a fan of Craig Moore and is career.
Feedback
Might be too long if adding ideas with the history about Ice Hockey
Make sure to focus on craig and not focusing on the history of the sport
Stick to style of video and don’t go away from that style
Practical, Possible or Ethical
Practical: This is practical as Craig lives in Glasgow and plays for a Glasgow team. So can easily arrange a meeting with him and gain more information about him in person. Can set up interview easily as he doesn’t live far.
Possible: The idea is possible as the Location I want to use (Breahead Arena) Is not far from the college so transport will not be a problem. Craig is available on my filming day for 4 hours each so we can sort times and arrange meetings or can sort interviews. Can get knowledge from Craig himself as I have easy contact with him
Ethical: No Ethical problems with doing this idea.
Exploring concept (chances with feedback)
With feedback given I have decided to structure the film differently instead of adding the history I’m just going to be talking about craig and his career instead of putting the history of the sport in it too.
Idea 2 Summary
This idea is about a Paralympian Named Finlay Graham who does Track cycling. Find out about what awards he has won. How he got into the sport. What his disability is and how it affects him in day to day life. Where he came from and how did he get to this point. Find out how he overcome his disability to be able to compete in Track cycling. The target audience would be from the ages of 16-34. The target audience would also be anyone who is interested in Track cycling, the Paralympics and Finlay’s Career in itself.
Feedback
Make sure to have a safe location to film at
Needs to be well timed
Practical,Possible and ethical
Practical: This idea might be practical as long as Finlay isn’t competing in a cycling event in a different country. He lives in Glasgow and trains here too, so I am able to meet up with him easily. As long as he is available for the shoot dates and isn’t competing this idea will work
Possible: This is possible as Finlay trains the velodrome is Glasgow so would be easy to get him to come to the shoot days. I can get contact with Finlay as I know his brother and dad through school, so I am able to get in contact with him easily. Transport will be easy to sort as we would be only going to the velodrome in Glasgow
Ethical: No ethical problems with this idea
