SORRY FOR THE REPOST of the first two, but did a dragonite design to finish out the sea-snake dratini line!

I must have lost my mind, I'm doing a living dex with three challenges tacked onto it: Origin, Ark, and Nemona. This is going to take months, probably years if I know myself well enough.

For those who don't know, a living dex is where you get every stage of every pokemon. So you'll have a Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and Venusaur all in the same box at the same time. The goal is to have one copy of every pokemon in pokemon HOME at the end. I technically already have a living dex (other than Zarude...) but I wanted to add more challenge to it.

Thus, the Origin Dex. Go back to the oldest possible game you can get a pokemon in, catch it, and send it to HOME with your original trainer ID. That means the virtual console versions of Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal, the physical carts of Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, and the DS/3DS carts for the rest all the way up to the Switch releases. To add to the difficulty, I'm using only Pokeballs too.

Then! I'm doing an Ark Dex which I coined myself. Catch a male and female of every pokemon, or in the case of no gender, two. This includes legendaries and mythicals because of course it does.

To add on to all that, I'm going to do the Nemona Challenge which I also coined myself. It's basically a Final Form Dex, but you level every single pokemon up to the level cap of the next gym before moving on. That means in Red/Blue/Yellow, you'll have not only a level 14 starter, but a level 14 pidgey, rattata, both nidorans, spearow, the bugs etc. I'm not crazy enough to do a trained living dex though, just the final forms. Instead of going up to level 100, the level cap I'm setting is around 70-80. (Might change my mind about that tho...)

This is... an undertaking to say the least. I'm allowing rare candy cheats, exploits, and whatnot, but in order to use the rare candies, I must EV train my pokemon legitimately first.

Oh, and to add another layer of insanity to this crazy cake, I'm completing every single game 100%. That's every league beaten, all the post games, and the Pokedex completed on every single cartridge. So not only do I beat Ruby, but also Sapphire and Emerald separately.

I've actually already finished my origin dex and 100% playthroughs for the gen one games, but I came up with the Nemona challenge well after I pulled that feat off, so I'm revisiting Kanto for that.

I never finish challenges like this, but I'm damn determined, even if it takes me years to do this. Wish me luck!

Pokemon Challenge - Nemona Challenge

So people know about the Professor Oak challenge, how about a challenge that's related to that? I'm calling it the Nemona Challenge.

Rules are, you take every Pokemon you possibly can catch before the next gym and raise all of them up to the gym leader's level. Just like Nemona probably has a ton of high level Pokemon, so too shall you.

So for BDSP, you'd have your starter at 14, a Starly, Bidoof, Geodude, Onix and all the others at level 14 too before beating Roark. Unlike the Professor Oak challenge, you don't have to grind to level 30 or more until you reach Maylene. It spreads out the levels and makes the challenge run smoother, but there are more Pokemon you have to level up each time, so does it actually reduce time?

I'm having a blast doing it, and by time I'm done with BDSP, I'll have a dex full of level 66 Pokemon.
