Worn at the Naboo lake retreat, which was filmed on Lake Como in Italy, Padmé’s velevt dressing gown was made by hand-smocking more than twenty yards of panne velvet, the process taking more than a month to complete before we could start making the dressing gown. The sleeve seams are covered with vinatge woven metallic braid, and the robe has a vintage beaded tassel detail on the back.
