She's holding a gyroscope, watching it pivot in its cradle. Behind her is a window, showing the surface of a moon - the rings of Saturn visible in the background.

"Personal log, April 7, 1537...finally got my first assignment." She smiles broadly. "New class of nearlighter rolling out of Theseus. "Nomad-Oracle". It's still a month out from jumping to nearlight, so I'll be rotating back to Luna to meet with my crew and its shipmind." The gyroscope slows, inertia fading as she tilts its cradle, watching it remain upright. "The USP says it'll be a one way trip. I've...already said goodbye to my family on Rhea, and my grandparents back on Cradle. Apparently it'll be about three thousand years objective before we go back down to regular speeds, and even then it'll not be that long before we're back to riding C again."

The gyroscope slows further, her brow furrowing. "My flight's in five hours. I'll make another log once I'm situated aboard the Nomad-Oracle. See you on the other side." The gyroscope stops. She reaches for the camera and cuts it off. [PLAYBACK ENDED]

OOC: Hi! This uh, probably doesn't make a lot of sense if you aren't familiar with Lancer Battlegroup, but Nomad-Oracle is a machine mind commanding a Needleship, an enigmatic firstcomm-era vessel. That's the gist of it, the rest? Might be able to be figured out.
