"So, lost-- hm?" The wrong side of Berlin was no place to be getting lost, especially with the way they were patrolling that damn wall. "Where exactly were you trying to go, if you don't mind me asking?"

So Solo takes Gaby to this boutique to buy clothes for her cover and brief her on the mission. Unbeknownst to Solo however, and pretty much everyone else involved, she’s already a spy, and kinda already knows what’s going on because of what Waverly has prepared her for, but now she has to play along with this whole “America teaming up with Russia” thing––the morning after they were just chased down by a Russian “giant carrying a firearm” intent on completing his mission. 

And then this same man casually walks into the boutique, stands intimidatingly behind Gaby, and calls her “his woman”. She can’t help but we startled by him––he’s 6′5″, a Russian KGB agent, and Gaby was told that if he captured her, she would spend her time hanging from a pipe and having her toenails removed. 

She steps away from him and looks him up and down, obviously surprised.

And he reacts to her being frightened by him. It’s subtle, but he reacts. He reacts the moment she looks him over in surprise. Solo and Gaby don’t see how he reacts… but he REACTS. BECAUSE SHE’S FRIGHTENED.

His hand tenses. His fingers don’t tap like when he’s anger, it just tenses up.

He knows he’s scary, he knows he’s intimidating; he even tries his best not to scare the elderly German woman when he enters her home and politely asks to use her back door, because he knows what he is. He tries, but he can’t help being what he was forced to become. And… I don’t know… I think it bothered him that he frightened Gaby. His body language and his facial expressions are not going to give that away––they mustn’t, he must be the stoic agent he is expected to be––but his hand, the hand that is hidden behind his back tightens and his fingers curl into his palm; because that is the only show of emotions he can allow, at least in this moment.
