MY EVERYDAY MOM i shall not sing songs of Praises of my mom today I shall not succumb to the annual ritual Of pouring libation at her feet And chanting her deeds Not even half we recall Not even the tears we missed Her sleepless nights When we were far gone Deep in slumber, so deep we cross the line of life to death. I refuse to unfairly gift her hampers Full of consumables I do rather gift her smiles which last daily and not annually. Her roles never deactivated nor Functions annually. Her duties knows no break. Why should my celebration be Disproportional to hers. Till i caught her staring secretly Without saying a word but Said enough with her eyes wide open.
