He’s my clever parrot sidekick and studio companion — always chattering away while I paint. I’m brushing in the final little touches on my Magical White Yak—and it feels like he’s been guiding me the whole way. A wise and gentle creature, he offers a glimpse into your future… but only if you’re kind. 💭🕯️ This painting has stretched me in all the right ways—what began out of my comfort zone now feels like home. One rainy afternoon, I sketched a little girl with a rather serious expression and a cat cradled close to her chest. She had found the creature in a fog-dusted alley and decided, quite firmly, that she would never part with it again. Not for kings, not for kingdoms, and certainly not for bedtime. They were forever wrapped in each others' embrace 🖤🐈‍⬛🕯️

Have you ever watched a pleco fish at work? 🐟✨ Recently, I painted this fascinating little creature for my dad. Plecos are more than just cool-looking fish – they’re the caretakers of the tank, quietly helping all the other fish by keeping everything clean. 💧 There’s something so calming and admirable about them. What’s your favorite creature to paint or draw?

I went out plein-air painting recently, and for a while, time just... stopped. The air was quiet, the world slowed down, and I felt completely in tune with the moment. 🌿 The sun, however, had other plans — darting in and out like a trickster! One second it was shining on my canvas, the next it was gone. That kind of light shift can be a painter’s nightmare! But luckily, I snapped a few quick photos to catch the scene before it changed again. Thank goodness for modern tools helping with ancient crafts ✨

I’ve been enjoying easing back into my Humpty Dumpty storybook lately 🥚🧡 I’ve given the tale a little twist—a softer, happier ending for our dear egg friend. Each page is packed with tiny details and takes so much time and care… but oh, it’s worth it. It’s one of those projects that gently pulls me in and reminds me why I love storytelling through pictures. I can’t wait to share the full tale with you when it’s done!
