do you think it’s a bad idea? he doesn’t voice the thought, but it fills his brain nonetheless. of course suga should be able to see what he’s doing, yet somehow he cradles the phone a little closer to himself, worriedly. he shifts on his feet a moment, thinking over the idea carefully. calling the captain? over such a simple matter? it didn’t seem like he needed to make such a big wave...
“if... you want to.”
suga turns a little away from kenma, once he’s realized that his mere presence and hovering is making the other extremely uncomfortable. pretending to be studying the street in front of them, suga hums to himself, amber eyes flicking over every once in a while to check on the setter. “um…” he begins quietly, once he sees the bus schedule on the bright screen. “are you sure you want to take the bus at this time?” quite frankly, suga himself isn’t very comfortable with the idea. “i’m sure daichi might have kuroo-san’s number. i can always call and ask, if you’d like.”

oh, no. he really seemed like he’d be there for the long haul. kenma peeps around the corner uneasily, shifting on his feet. he really had to go, but someone so boisterous would surely aggrieve him on his way in... wasn’t that how it normally went, in all those tv shows? further than that, though, the blond wasn’t sure if he’d manage to find the next bathroom in a timely manner. this was truly a debilitating conundrum, and one that made him shed droplets of stress from pale skin.
Completely fired up from the practice match he just played in, Tanaka excitedly blabbered to his best friend Noya about the match and random subjects, occasionally exchanging high fives and such like riled up middle schoolers. This is how the two typically acted after practice, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they immediately raced down Sakanoshita after gathering their stuff.
Noya mentioned something about leaving early, unfortunately, so this was not going to happen. After exchanging goodbyes (and quite a bit of chest bumps and hugs), Tanaka hummed to himself and leaned against the wall right in between the bathroom doors. He did not notice the blond setter staring in his direction, yet.

“... a bad virtual reality game... horror or sci-fi, an rpg...” he adds his two cents to the conversation now that the other has brought up the possibility, and worries his bottom lip with his teeth, lightly. of course, that would be ridiculous... there’s no way that sort of thing happens in real life. still, he finds himself at odds with the concept, unnerved by the potential.
kenma will follow so long as he leads-- he didn’t pay attention enough to not get lost, which is part of why he had opted to just stay put instead of look around on his own. could he trust the stranger? he wasn’t sure yet, but hopefully...
Okay. That’s good, okay–a word might not seem like much to everyone else, but Asahi considers it a quiet victory in its own way. Shyness never makes talking easy, anxiousness never makes things cut and dry. Asahi is glad he is granted with at least one response, an assurance at that. “Yeah… okay.” he echos, his voice but a mumble himself, “Cool. We can check the cafeteria, maybe we missed lunch.” Odds are that might not be the case, but what other options did he have?
Cafeteria, lodging, some of the other gyms scattered across the campus. Few large complexes to fit enough people in to give the camp the eerie sensation of desertion. Maybe they left? No, there’s no way they’d just leave without them. Besides, it wasn’t like there was much to do. “… I’m starting to think I’m crazy, not finding everybody yet.” Asahi remarks, beginning to move back towards the door, “I mean–this is the kinda stuff you’d think would happen in fiction….”

he leans away. the child is close, unnervingly so. she seems to not understand that-- but being as he has heard mentions of her from shoyo, and caught fleeting glances of her on brief visitations, she was at least not entirely unfamiliar. still...
“j... just a game...”
She looked at the boy who was just staring at the strange device in his hand. It looked like the thing other kids at the park have. At her age of five, personal space was not fully taught to her, so she was looking at the game in his hand.
“What are you playing?”

Wow!! I never expected Asahi to be such a success, I was blown away every major milestone I hit until this point! You’re all amazing, and I’m so glad so many of you are still around even with my busy schedule and what not. It’s been so much fun building up to this point, meeting so many new friends and being welcomed into such a friendly community. I haven’t been here too long, and may not speak up much, but I love you guys! And I’m glad you love my son.

kingdom hearts unchained x is okay for a mobile game. it uses twewy more, which was nice to see in dream drop distance, too. i know it’s still the first week, but they only have 200 missions... that only lasted me a few days. maybe they’ll update it soon, though...

having been so intensely focused on the videogame clasped between his palms, he hadn’t noticed the stare he was being given. at length, he looks up and is mildly startled.
“um.”

“oh... sure,” comes a noncommittal response. he liked the game, but wasn’t hinata ridiculously bad at it?... it didn’t matter now. the enthusiasm the other radiated was enough for the teen to follow him regardless, even if he was a bit worried that walking backwards may lead to tripping. and falling. and getting injured.
Hinata wastes no time in leading the way, skipping backwards when closing in to their destination. “I’ll get snacks before heading back. You wanna play black ops tonight?” It’s a game he sucks at and Kenma surely knows this, but in his defense, he’s never been fond of fps games. He’s still learning. But they’re fun to play with Kenma and others. He mostly looks forests to playing zombies and seeing Kenma’s face when he dies for the 15th time in one round.

he regrets his choice immediately. his face has taken a pale pallor. mercy.
slammed with so many questions all at once, kenma can’t help but grow increasingly intimidated-- just how was he supposed to answer so many?! the very thought of managing it was inane, though he might have retained a few that were fired off in his direction...
“um, i don’t usually eat... my hands are fine?.. .i go home early... i drink water whenever i get thirsty...”
Tobio quickly bowed his head “Thank you!” He exclaimed before staring at the shorter boy with determination and curiosity shining in his deep blue eyes.

“What do you eat before and after a game? How do you take care of your hands? How many times a week do you train? Do you train alone? Do you easily adjust to different spikers? How much water do you drink during the day? Do you train early in the morning or late at night?”

“if i had food, i’d have tried to use it,” he replies, standing up and dusting off his knees. he had forgotten his lunch at home, so he couldn’t even spare that-- really, he was out of luck, though kuroo didn’t need to know all those details.
he hadn’t meant to scare the cat away, but he hadn’t even noticed the presence of the feline until it had run away from kenma. and honestly, kuroo was surprised that he had put the time into getting close to the cat in the first place. the cat was one he was familiar with, a stray that lurked in the neighborhood the two boys lived in. “sorry about that kenma. maybe next time you can trying coaxing with food.”

what kind of response was this guy expecting? nearly setting something ablaze while cooking... well, he certainly wasn’t going to get praised for it.
“how old are you, again?”
“Kenma! So mean!” He whined- actually whined- like an over grown three year old. “What did I do to deserve this!?”
