ALARA DOLINSKI, 39, NATALIE PORTMAN

Exudes first-born child energy like you would not believe. Poised, polished and perfect. Truly believes that she will (and should) take over her mother's Convocation seat, and has been preparing for that her entire life. Will give you a gracious smile to your face, and then talk an unbelievable amount of shit about you behind your back. Married well and has the perfect, nuclear family.

Seeking one husband for Alara Dolinski.

Alara Dolinski always knew she would get married. It was part of her plan. And the plan was important. What she didn't know is that she would enjoy it so much.

She met her husband during the War. He was from a well to do family (not as well to do as her own, of course) and seemingly lost in the chaos. Some would say he was the black sheep. She just thought he had a kind heart. Everyone used to laugh - the wolf and the sheep taking up together. But it worked.

Perhaps the moment she knew she loved him was when he managed to navigate the minefield of her family. Batting away questions from her icy mother, and charming her sisters. It was easy to imagine what a life with him would be like. There would be balance.

They were married at twenty-one and gave birth to a healthy baby girl later that year (no one questioned the timing, they were at War after all). Three years later came their son, and the perfect nuclear family was created.

Above all - they are happy. They know what people say about them - that she's a wicked witch without any joy in her life, and he's nothing more than a simp who wanted to marry into the Convocation. But they don't care, because they know what they have. And to everyone's shock, it's a healthy and loving marriage. He softens her edges, and she toughens him up.

REQUEST: THE BENOIT FAMILY

the soft sound of jazz music filtering through an abandoned hallway / catching lightening bugs down by the creek / crawfish boils in the first curls of spring / loud laughter from the drawing room / stories passed from one generation to the next / handwritten notes on the kitchen counter / one hand slipping into another / "family first, family last, family forever."

Meet the Benoit family. With a seat on the Convocation, they hail from New Orleans and represent nature magic. For centuries they have been peacemakers, speaking for the voice of every person in the Federation - not just those with magic.

James Benoit was known for his cool demeanor, and ability to problem solve solutions. For reaching across a table and finding options where none seemed available. He did his duty with honor and professionalism, but to his family he was just Pa. A man famous for his booming laugh and warm embraces, for his homemade breakfasts and fondness for fuzzy house slippers. His marriage was a normal, loving one - producing three children. Including the heir to his seat, Sylvie. So it was a shock when he died last year, leaving a void to be filled by a woman not quite ready for the responsibility of it. Even more of a shock when his wife died not six months later.

The remaining Benoit children are at an impasse, figuring out life without the protective cocoon their parents provided.

Sylvie Benoit (Gugu-Mbatha Raw), 38, Convocation Seat Holder [played by Nell]: The eldest child, the responsibility of this new normal has fallen on her shoulders. Has her father's notion of protecting the family, and her mother's hard headedness. Put off preparing for this ascension because she truly believe nothing could ever happen to her father, and this lack is showing. Believes in peace and unity, and that magic should be shared to make the world a better place. Hopelessly naïve, but endlessly loving.

Este Benoit (Open Face), 30's, Open Role: Este is her mother's daughter. The wild spirit of the family. The one that will do something for the sake of trouble, and then offer no apology. Thinks that people are inherently bad, so she and her sister can often butt heads on this point often.

Virgil Benoit (Open Face), 20's/30's, Open Role: The laid back one. The one everyone can rely on for a laugh, and naturally calming presence. Radiates big younger child energy, meaning he has never been in trouble a day of his life.

Note: The Benoit family took their cousins in when they were children, and quite a bit of this family is in play. So feel free to send me a DM on Discord (nellbell#6685) and I can fill you in on some of the additional plot plots we are coming into the game with.
