I saw a post in an ATLA Facebook group (that was a repost from tumblr) theorizing that since Aang has been shown to draw on knowledge from his past lives, it’s possible he was able to perfectly apply Kyoshi’s makeup and everyone in the FB comments was like, “But Sokka! Sokka dressed as a Kyoshi Warrior! I bet he was the one who applied Aang’s makeup!” My my, how quickly we’ve forgotten the running gag where Sokka is bad at just about every art form he tries! If he had tried to apply Aang’s makeup, the poor kid would’ve ended up looking like:

“Hey, everybody, Avatar Kyoshi here!”

Which would have honestly added to the comedic moment and now I’m sort of sad we didn’t get Sokka applying the makeup and being annoyed when Katara is skeptical of his masterpiece. Also this:

Kyoshi: I killed Chin the Con-you added a rainbow.

Sokka: …Is that okay?
