The HQ Letter Depot

Through this project, you can send a message to a Haikyuu character and get a letter reply posted to you; fully personalised, decorated and with a gift that made them think of you. I hope you enjoy this project as much as I will!

This project will be supporting small businesses - gifts and decorations will be purchased from small businesses/independent artists and creators

What you will receive:

An A4 customised letter in a personalised character handwriting (these letters will be typed and printed)

An envelope decorated by the character themselves - each character has their own themes and styles, including stickers, flowers and more!

A small gift chosen for you by the character, something that made them think of you

An easy-read format if required, such as dylsexia-friendly font or anything else you need alongside your original letter to help you

How and when will the letters be shipped:

The letters and envelopes will be shipped in a plain hardback A5 envelope to protect the decorations and gifts inside, and also so it is concealed for those who would not wish for the contents to be known by others

Letters will be shipped from the UK

Due to the pandemic, please wait up to 2 weeks for the letters to be shipped, and another 3 days - 4 weeks for delivery (depending on your location). While it is likely postage will be much shorter than this, I cannot guarantee that due to the situation currently

Each gift will be picked personally for you, therefore they will be purchased after ordering making the wait a little longer that it could be

Pricing:

Each letter and gift will cost £12.50/$17/€14.20 (with free shipping to the UK and £3.50 shipping internationally)

As much as I would love to deliver these for free, it is expensive buying the gifts and decorations, and shipping costs me £4.50 (internationally) per letter

This project will be supporting small businesses - gifts and decorations will be purchased from small businesses/independent artists and creators which makes the creation of these letters more expensive

How to order:

There are two ways of order - through Tumblr (paying by PayPal) or through Etsy!

There is a form that is required to fill in to process your order. This is so the letters can be fully personalised! Each form allows you to introduce yourself to the character and send them a message or letter of something you’d like to say to them, whether that be what you think about them, some struggles you’ve been going through or just about your interests.

Ordering on Tumblr and paying through PayPal -

After, I will send you a Paypal invoice where you can pay directly

Ordering through Etsy -

To order on Etsy, please follow this link and place your order

“I found it.”

Tendou sits on the edge of your bed, hunched over himself with his hands in his lap. He fiddles with his fingers, circling around the knuckle of his ring finger absentmindedly. They shake so hard that you can see it from across the room- his whole body seems to be caught in a never ending shiver. Every now and again his fingers dip lower, touching the base where a ring might sit. It’s where a wedding ring would go, you realize, if he ever had one. 

“Found what?” you ask, even though you know. You know by the way he looks up at you, with eyes wet and red rimmed. 

“Don’t. Don’t play dumb, please.” he chokes out a laugh. He doesn’t believe what he’s saying; he’s in denial. His chest hiccups in a breath, uneven and shallow, like he’s trying to hold himself back, but just can’t. “The plane ticket.” 

The ticket in question sits on the floor, right between his feet: departing France, arriving Tokyo. 

There isn’t a return date. There never will be.

A Characterisation/Writing Guide - Autism and ADHD

Hi everyone! This post is going to be a guide on how to accurately write characters with Autism and ADHD. I have been so many works where Autism and ADHD have been terribly written - using so many stereotypes and just nonsense that has nothing to do with neurodivergences, so I hope this helps educate writers and give them more confidence to write such characters.

For reference, I have Autism and ADHD, as well as many friends with either, therefore this information is coming directly from a neurodivergent.

This guide will be split into three parts: characterisation in both Autism and ADHD, Autism chracterisation and ADHD characterisation. This being because Autism and ADHD, while two different disorders, do have some overlaps. 

TERMS:

Neurodivergent - describes those differing in mental or neurological function from what is considered typical or normal

Neurotypical - describes those who are considered normal and do not differ in mental or neurological function

NOTE - Not everyone is the same. Everyone is different and will act and feel in different ways, this is simply an overview of how Autism and ADHD typically can be characterised
