I watched that video, "Debunking Transphobia" by JasperDasper (IT'S A GOOD VIDEO PLEASE CHECK IT OUT IF YOU HAVE THE TIME!!!), and what really stuck with me is one thing.
That society heavily favours and values the lives of cis people far more than it does trans people.
Which... yeah I've known this for almost a decade now, but it's still amazing to think that a lot of people, who are trans themselves, might not value who they are and what they add to the world. I don't think that's right.
If you're anything under the transgender umbrella; non-binary, agender, bigender, pangender, genderfluid, or even like me. A binary trans person. Please know that I love you. Please know that you have something to add to the world. Just like every other person.
You are worth the effort of finding yourself.
Whether that's by the music you make, by the stories you write, by the art you create, the plays you act, hell even if you choose to (like me) go into STEM. The discoveries and inventions you have are just as important to the world as everyone else's.
And even if you make, discover, or invent anything; you still have so much worth and value. The likes and dislikes you have, the thoughts you have- you are worth it. They have just as much importance as everyone else's.
I love you. You are not alone in this.
Because being transgender is, above all else, defined not by misery. Being transgender is defined by the joy we experience at finding ourselves. At being ourselves. That is worth so much more than anything I can think of.
