msmp!hypurrbole story
this will be a post documenting the story of msmp!hypurrbole (since their story got wiped off of ao3)
-
-
continuing from here on, i will be addressing my character as "hypurrbole," but this character is still in the context of the smp she was made in. hypurrbole uses they/she pronouns, which i will alternate between bullet points in this blog post for consistency -
-
hypurrboles age is unknown, but they take the appearance of a younger-looking adult who is feminine presenting
hypurrbole originated from a lab. she was an experiment for an organization of scientists (name unknown as of now, will figure out later)
they are half enderman half human, better known as enderian. they can teleport (with a time limit of 4 seconds), are severely allergic to water, and cannot eat pumpkins nor see anyone with pumpkin hats. they also cannot let anyone look them in the eyes for too long as they will have a violent outburst.
she was created in this laboratory via cloning and mutating DNA to include a mixture of enderman and human DNA.
they were one of many experiments to succeed in the experimentation project as subject number [REDACTED]. the scientists even thought of them as the best experiment out of the rest that were made.
because of being a very good subject, many extra tests were run on her. she was forced to hurt people that looked her in the eyes, which traumatized her immensely and lowered her self-esteem to a shocking degree. the scientists also made her do many tests to see the full extent of her teleportation ability, her lack of vision with those with pumpkin helmets, and her aversion to water, which also affected her.
many of these tests were done against their will and brought fear and anxiety to them daily. they felt like a monster the more that they hurt someone through a test, and the scientists kept hurting them with water, in stretching their teleportation ability, and frustrating them in their inability to see anyone with a pumpkin helmet.
she made friends with many of the experiments, but many of the friends she had made were killed and executed for not being ideal enough for the experiment.
eventually one day, they were able to escape the laboratory. they caught the scientists off guard, threw the scientists off their balance, and teleported straight for the door and down the hall. hypurrbole had a lot of determination to not end up the way their friends did and escaping the facility in their honor. in the end, they succeeded.
the guards of the facility searched for her for what could've been days, weeks, countless months or years for hypurrbole (they searched for about 4 months publicly), but the passage of time could not be confirmed by her as she had been off the grid and out of sight for several months.
the aftermath of the escape of the facility
hypurrbole has been living off of the grid in the wilderness for an unknown amount of time, trying to find a place to live
at first she didn't know how to make a house but figured it out by observing humans for a while
they haven't made any contact with anyone at all, generally being a recluse in their home and not talking to anyone
after about 6-8 months (not confirmed) she found a place to live at a frozen lake near mountains, on a plot of land far away from any humans. she felt safe here as there were no humans to be found.
however, one month later they noticed that someone had started building at the very top of the mountain. they had hoped that whoever this was wouldn't talk to them or interact with them at all.
TBC in a future post

scrapped story for msmp!hypurrbole
unfortunately in the canon, two characters that i intended to introduce to each other never saw the light of day, which was msmp!bear and msmp!hypurr
i had visioned their meetup somewhat like this, which i will write below:
The Recluse and the Fool
The inside of the cabin was cozy and warm to contrast the snow and ice surrounding it on flat, solid ground. The tall, snow-covered spruce trees surrounding it made the cabin slightly hidden and less noticeable. A distant mountain and a completely frozen lake would normally be seen from the windows if they weren't boarded up. Hypurrbole had boarded her windows up with wooden planks after seeing that a cobblestone tower had somehow appeared out of nowhere on the distant mountain, which once was empty and only wore a snowy blanket on top. That was the comfortable familiarity that she was used to.
That comfortable familiarity, soon broken by unnecessary societal additions to her living space, her property, her free reign.
She began pacing the floor of her living room, her heart racing. She had wanted to find out just who was in that tower, but she didn't want to just barge into their living space. That individual could be human, after all. And if she's caught by the scientists again... no, she needed to stay calm. If she doesn't bother this mysterious stranger, they won't bother her. After all, her house looks abandoned enough, and she'd rehearsed all her exit routes for days now.
If I do not bother them, they will not bother me.
Hypurrbole stood still. She took a warm, relaxing breath and eased her tense shoulders. I need to stop overreacting, she told herself. Everything will be fine, and nothing bad will happen.
She took a few moments to calm down, breathe and look around the room. Around her were boarded up windows and her seemingly-blocked front door (only the panes on the door were blocked). On her left side of the front windows was an ender chest next to a crafting table and an anvil. On the left side of the room, a separate space has been made for an enchantment table to make her weapons and armor stronger in order to survive dark caves and haunting nights. Behind her in the back of the room were chests containing food, along with an entrance to her basement, which held most of her belongings.
She smiled. She was truly safe here. She was well protected in this house with armor and weapons in the basement, with escape strategies and routes to follow thoroughly in case things went south. She was going to be okay.
If I do not bother them, they will not bother me.
Hypurrbole figured that since they have not come to her house that she would be safe for now. She started to walk out the front door and head towards the cave she was mining in. But as she was about to enter, her memory hit her immediately.
She replied to this person via a letter.
Her heart sunk.
Days prior, she remembers that she had replied to this person via a letter, which the original explained that the author of the letter had recently moved in and meant no harm. But this means that this person knows she exists in the same living space.
Her heart began to pound faster and faster. She brought her hands to her face. A horrified look on her face was present as she realized what she had done.
"Hey! Are you the one who wrote me a letter back?" a voice called out from across the lake.
She jumped, locking herself in place. She felt like she couldn't move for a few seconds, and all she wanted to do was run.
"Hey... you okay?"
She felt her body regain the strength she needed and started to sprint into the forest. She couldn't just teleport out of there. That might blow her cover, so for now all she could do was run. She ran further and further into the forest. I think I lost them. She panted and caught her breath, tired of running. Hypurrbole's eyes darted around her, wondering where she should go next. But as soon as she'd started looking through the trees, she heard that voice in the distance, growing closer.
"Wait, don't leave! I promise not to hurt you!"
She took off again, this time instinctively heading to her house. My armor and tools are inside. I should be safe there. She teleported out of a force of habit, but was hoping to lose them due to the accidental teleport.
Threat! Threat! Threat!
She quickly closed the doors and hid behind them, sitting against the doors. Finally, hopefully I'll have lost them. I'm alone, just as I should be in order to survive. She took a few moments to catch her breath after the ordeal. Once she did, she stood up and began to walk towards her ender chest.
The truth is, she had spent so long without company, only observing society in the hopes of learning without asking. She avoided social situations at all costs because she feared they would hate her. She feared she would hurt others. And most of all, she feared being seen as a monster.
A monster.
That was all she thought she was. A monster meant to be left to die alone. A monster, in this world where there were no friends, no allies. Enemies surrounded her everywhere she went. She had accepted this fate a long time ago.
Monster.
She took off one of her long, lilac gloves and looked at her hand. Her hand was a deep, dark purple. This purple coloration was visible in the majority of her forearm. Past her elbow, her skin faded to resemble that of a human. But she would never fully look like one.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door of a person that seemed out of breath.
"Hey... I promise I am not going to hurt you... please just open the door."
That voice...!
She froze solid in place again. She felt everything that happened in the forest rush back to her. The door then opened by itself.
A man walked through the door. He was wearing a robe that resembled a wandering trader's robe. He wore brown pants and brown boots, worn by what seemed like years of use. He had golden rimmed glasses and short, black wavy hair. He looked shocked when he had entered, but the look on his face was quickly replaced by a calm smile.
"Get away from me!" she shouted without thinking. She felt like her world was coming to an end. Her heart was racing and she felt like she could barely breathe. She fell backwards to the floor, backing into the enchantment table room out of pure fear.
"Woah wait, I just want to-"
He's looking at me. He's looking at me. He's looking at me.
"Stop looking at me!" She felt her muscles tensing as if they were ready to punch at any moment.
He's looking at me.
"But I'm trying to talk to y-"
"STOP LOOKING AT ME!"
He immediately looked away and did as he was told to do so. Instead, he looked at her exposed arm and was fascinated by its discoloration.
"Woah... you're not a human, are you?"
She shook her head. She was shivering, sobbing and whimpering quietly.
"Hey... you're gonna be alright, okay?" the man said in a calm and patient manner. "I'm not gonna hurt you, I swear. There's nothing to be afraid of. Just breathe, okay?" She nodded.
"Just like this. Breathe, 2, 3, 4. And out, 2, 3, 4. Breathe, 2, 3, 4. And out, 2, 3, 4."
As soon as she'd calmed down, she realized that she'd potentially made a fool of herself and a terrible first impression. This is why she hates talking to anyone, she thought. But suddenly she felt enough courage to speak to someone for what felt like has been a long time.
"S-Sorry for running away, and for a-all this," she shakily stated. "I haven't talked with anybody for a l-long time."
"Same here, honestly," he replied. "And it's okay, I'm sorry if I freaked you out. I probably shouldn't have just opened your door like that but I didn't want you to be scared of me."
She stayed quiet, and they were both silent only for a moment. "What's your name?" he asked.
There was a pause in her answer. She almost looked horrified, but quickly calmed down. "I-I don't really h-have a name."
"That's okay. I'm Bear," he replied. "I thought maybe if we introduced ourselves you wouldn't feel as uncomfortable anymore. Do you... feel any better?"
"A little."
"I guess that counts for something, huh?" he chuckled. "I might have overstayed my welcome. It was nice to meet you, but I should probably go now." He opened the door.
She stood up before he could leave. Wait, what's happening? She didn't expect her instincts to make her stand up so quickly. He turned to see her, and she faintly smiled.
"It's nice to meet you too," she quietly replied, though she didn't stutter. Wait. Am I feeling okay? I haven't held a conversation in years!
He smiled. "See you around," Bear replied. He then walked out of her house and closed her door.
As the door closed, a thousand different thoughts entered her mind. What just happened? Who was that? Why did he come here?
… Are we... friends?
Perhaps all those questions would be answered in time.

alex story
there's not much about this?? but i thought i should put it somewhere anyways
-
-
so far:
- alex is 17 years old, non-binary, and uses any pronouns (preferably he/they (he doesn't mind how often these pronouns are used or if they're used interchangeably, I only flip-flop between bullet points to utilize both of the pronouns he mainly uses))
- alex was a teenager when they decided to run away from home, possibly 15
- he ran away because his parents didn't support his identity, and also because of his newfound powers that he happened to pick up
- they cut their hair and changed their name, and snuck around towns and travelled for a while, to someplace away from home
- the necklace that he bought gave him time travel powers - and was also cursed (but the curse didn't fall on him)
- a witch is stuck inside of the necklace and can sometimes take power over alex. sometimes she can appear to alex as a ghost. she's aiming to get enough power to set herself free from the necklace (not sure how that will happen so tbd)
gonna edit this all later

marea storyline
i feel like i have some sort of idea on how i want to write marea's story? but i'm just gonna start listing ideas and stuff
if any of my friends see this in the future (which i doubt), MAJOR SPOILER WARNING for the characters marea and angel, and every character i've made in this story thus far.
marea - a demon who steals arms, mouths, and eyes for her own creepy and powerful benefits. they're usually stolen from children and teenagers. she haunts children at night as well, scarring them in their dreams.
angelique/angel - a human who has been haunted by marea. the reason is unknown to many (but will be explained in the megapost)
emily - hated angelique for her looks and popularity. the rest of her hatred for her is unknown, and the reason why she does what she does is also unknown.
-
-
- marea was angelique, a human in her past life. to explain marea, you'd need to explain angel's story too.
- angel lost her arms in her past life thanks to emily.
- angel was chained onto a table by her arms and legs, and was basically on a sideways table.
- emily had tortured angel, and even went as far as cutting her arms off. they were possibly fighting and arguing during this entire thing.
- when angel bled out on the table she was chained onto, she went up to heaven.
- in the afterlife, she was with an angel, but the angel saw that angelique was swearing vengeance on emily. so, because angelique was filled with such hatred and violence, the angel had to drop her from heaven.
- she would have gotten her arms back and would've lived freely in heaven if it wasn't for her swearing vengeance. she only had temporary arms in heaven thanks to this, and they were basically like ghost arms.
- when she fell from heaven, she was also cursed from attaching arms where they should be, so she could no longer use arms regularly. it was rumored to be a punishment for marea, so that she could never look normal. why the curse happened is still unknown (and i also still dont really know LOL)
- her appearance slowly changed when she fell, and her halo had turned black and fell to the ground, shattering into several pieces. it eventually disappeared. angel's hair started turning black and it eventually parted a separate way. her eyes turned a shade of orange with dark red slit-shaped pupils. her horns originally appeared attached on the side of her head, like a longhorn (except not as long).
- she felt her appearance changing, her arms becoming natural stubs and healing. since she felt different, she vowed to call herself marea, as she was bitter and vengeful.
- she discovered she can change her appearance in any way she'd like in the demon realm. she decided to keep the way she looked as is, since she would rather look human than look like a creature. after all, she was after children.
- the origin of her wine-red cloak is still unknown. maybe there was a tailor in hell? who knows
- eventually, she decided to return back to the human realm, where she died. she hunted down emily at her school and killed her in the girl's bathroom. from her corpse, she took her eyes and put them on her horns, trapping her there along with her soul for all of eternity. she also took her arms as an act of revenge. she decided to keep her corpse in storage, locking it in a room in her house in hell. it was like a prize to her.
- from that day forward, she haunted children in that realm, stealing their mouths, eyes, and arms. the more she had gotten, the more she lost her humanity in hell. though, i'm sure her memories were kept with her and can be triggered by mentioning her past.
- she's well known now for being a powerful demon in hell. occasionally her power is questioned, otherwise no one dares to mess with her.
- she has visited and haunted an alternate version of herself in an alternate universe, causing the angelique of that universe to have severe anxiety. however, all marea does is haunt her and injure her. maybe this is her favorite toy? or maybe she's trying to get her past self to wake up and realize? or maybe she has hatred towards her past self? either way, she's messed with the timeline entirely.
