this ehlers danols syndrome awareness months lets stop treating hEDS like a "diet" disability or an easy thing to live with <3

because you might think hEDS is just fun bendy hypermobility and "party tricks" - but people in their early 20s or younger are dying because of hEDS and co-morbidities

there are people with hEDS who are paralyzed from it - there are people who need wheelchairs full/part time because of it.

people with who are dependent on feeding tubes and/or tpn. people who need ostomies, people who experience organ prolapse, people who dislocate joints just changing their clothes.

so no, hEDS is in no way shape or form easy to live with. and yet the disabled community on here consistently talks about it like it is
