A Nerdonomy Christmas Carol – Special Edition
Happy Holidays, everyone! 2020 marks the 6th Anniversary of A Nerdonomy Christmas Carol, so we felt it deserved a Special Edition. Episode 1: Quarantine Reunion
Episode 1: Quarantine Reunion
Welcome Back!
On our new show, we have a rotating table of co-hosts from all areas of Nerd-dom.  Our topic…is..well..the topic on all of our minds, so made the episode about the quarantine.
We can all agree, that overall, 2020 has been a sh*t year (thanks, CoVID-19). But thanks to technology like Zoom, Webex, and Discord, we can still keep in touch with our friends and family during these…

Ok. So, here's what bugs me about this. The media is covering that Endgame won't be able to beat Avatar's global box office returns. But the media seems to easily forget that Avatar had an extremely long, almost unheard of, box office run. Avatar opened in theaters Dec 2009, and didn't leave theaters until AUGUST of 2010! Nine. Months (numbers from Box Office Mojo). But Avengers: Endgame, which is only about $50 Million away from Avatar's record, accomplished nearly the same amount of revenue in 45 days. 45. DAYS. Where is *that* in their reporting? If Disney wanted this movie to beat the record, it could. They could easily find a marketing gimmick to raise ticket sales. But the reality is, it doesn't want, or need, to do this. It now owns Avatar. I feel that the accomplishment for being the fastest at reaching milestones is now more important than the "highest grossing" milestones, which becomes exponentially unobtainable. Movie nerds, discuss! http://bit.ly/2ZrFnQB

This episode marks our Oscars recap for 2019! Bryan and Roxi welcome friends of the show Vanessa Alvarez Moriarty, and guests from last year’s Oscar recap Hayley Lovgren, and Andrew Kracht.
Please excuse the audio issues. There are a few moments where there is a tiny bit of static from our audio signal.   We did our best to clean it up.
In addition to our recap, our regular listener/feedbacker…

So...Lincoln Happened
Roxi, Sean, and Bryan take some time to catch up on life. Then, after some frenetic antics, they finally get to the main topic of the episode.  The nerds cap off Spielberguary 2019 by discussing one of the best of the Spielberg historical dramas: Lincoln.
There is so much to love and discuss about this film, which stars Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field. Listen as we comment on the brilliance of…

A Requiem for Stan Lee, The Truest Believer
This episode is long overdue. Even though his death was over 2 months ago, we knew it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t have a requiem for the one and only  Stan Lee.
Before we launch into our eulogy of The Man himself, we each share how our Holiday’s went.  Roxi shares her celebrity encounter with Lucy Liuon Christmas, Bryan and his wife Vanessa talk about another one of their Disneyland trips.
