“Fun facts”
I loved to drive my chariots. number one right here!
I was known as the worst emperor ever. Jeez I don’t know why though 🤔
It’s rumored that I played the lyre while Rome burned?! They even say that I started it!! I want to clarify that I had nothing to do with the causejng do the fire.
I was the last emperor in the Julian-Claudian dynasty.
I’m the youngest emperor to ever have ruled. I was 17 when I became emperor.

What represents me
I would say that my Golden House would be the biggest symbol that represents me. That and my Colussus of Nero. Now those are impressive symbols.

Weaknesses
Ooof, where to start. My mentors gave me a lot of freedom and let me do what I wanted. They prompted me to use my power as sole ruler, but I was very generous, maybe to generous considering I didn’t really like signing death sentences(in the beginning that is)
Another weakness was that I thought I could do whatever I wanted and not have the fear of being blamed for doing it. Many people thought I was very scandalous because I would play my lyre out in public and perform. They said it was a breach of my civic dignity.
I started developing different religious thoughts and started to find movers cults interesting. Not many people liked this.
And the crown jewel, the rumor about me starting the great fire that cleared out a third of Rome. The fact that I blamed the cristians made people not like me and I earned the reputation of Antichrist.

Strengths
Where to begin, I put an end to many of the things that happened in the late years of Cladius’s reign. Such as secret trials for the emperor and the dominece that corrupt freedmen had. Instead I gave more independence to the senate.
I was a very generous guy that even pardoned people that were plotting to kill me. I started competitions in poetry, theater, and athletics as other attractions to gladiator combats. I even gave aid to the Jews!

I died...
In 68 AD some of the Roman provinces started to rebel against me. But what I still don’t understand was why. Anyway, they started rebelling and I got scared. You see the senate are scary people and I somewhat remember what happened to Caesar so... I didn’t want the senate to execute me so I made a brilliant plan. They can’t kill me if I’m already dead so with the help of some of my aides I killed myself. I was 30 years old.

My sad life continues
My dear mother married Claudius which made me his adoptive son, yay. My manipulative mother was able to convince Claudius to make me the heir to the throne, smart she was my mother. Sadly I had to pay the price and marry his daughter Octavia *sadness*
Sadly in 54 AD Claudius died...But guess who became emperor?! Me!!! Now despite what the people may say, my mother, as malipulative as she was, did not I repeat DID NOT poison him.

So this is how my life ended
The moment I was born in Antium, Italy, 37 AD, I knew life was gonna suck. Come on someone named Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus obviously wasn’t going to have a good life and I had to be born with that hideous name.
My father died when I was young and my mother was exiled by the emperor Caligula, bad way to start off.
He took my inheritance, but karma’s great since he was killed. Claudius became emperor and allowed my mother to return. Life seems like it should be amazing right? Wrong. It got a lot worse.

Momma went overboard
Alas, my life still went down hill.
Who would’ve ever thought that my mother would try to manipulate me!? She tried to influence my political decisions and actions and after I refused to bend to her will, she made a plot against me!
Well like any normal and rational human being I had her killed.

Starting off
Being a new emperor from the Julius-Claudian Dynasty was fun and I tried to be good and help my people.
I built them public works and buildings, I supported the arts such as poets and sculptors, I even made taxes lower!
But as time went on I grew tired and the stress started to get to me. I will admit that I grew a bit bipolar and temperamental considering anyone that didn’t agree with me, like political rivals and wives, I had killed.
I saw myself as an artist, was that so bad? I would play my original pieces and read my poetry to the public, that’s not a crime right?

Burn it all, burn it to the ground
In 64 AD a massive fire broke out and burned hundreds of acres of land. Don’t believe the rumors saying I played the lyre watching this city burn to the ground leaving the skeleton of the buildings behind, it’s not true!
It was the Cristians fault!! So for their crimes I had them all gathered and killed in painful, horrible deaths to atone their sins.
But taking up the new cleared out land I decided to build my palace on top of it. I even had a 100ft y’all bronze statute of myself at the front entrance! Oh it was a beauty, I named it Colossus of Nero. Brilliant I say brilliant!
