half the time when i read manhua adaptation reviews it’s like “well this isn’t very good but i promise the danmei is great 🥺” like yeah that’s pretty much what i expected

danmei is very good and manhua adaptations are almost always bad. bc tell me why every single panel is just this expression 🙂. genuinely sucks the soul out of a story.

and a good 80% of mls have no interesting flaws and are one of three things: #1. perfect gentlemen #2. have the most stereotypical flaws like I’m Too Rich ☹️ #3. just awful monsters (disregarding consent is not an interesting flaw.)

peak green flag = green flag while still having problems and issues that do bleed in and affect their relationship bc that reflects reality and actually gives the ml personality => this is Between the Lines

peak red flag = both of them are toxic to each other. to be honest i don’t have a good example of this bc manhwa authors are obsessed w making their mcs little angels but. like 354 🎉

in both cases they should uniquely be able to fit each other. if i can easily imagine your guys in relationships with different people im sorry but the original relationship is not that compelling. and probably boring (issue for both green and red flag)

it grinds my gears a little bit every time i see people recommend mdso for gamer manhwa i wont lie. ik its bc its the like 3rd popular gamer manhwa (used to be the most popular 1.5 yrs ago !!! thank god for the NP and GMND agenda) but like guys…. they barely even game…. their personalities are so bland given that one of them is NETKAMA…. just read ghfod instead
