Love before Legend.
Somewhere between squats and soundchecks, they found each other for a moment — Joe and Palmolive, a little while before history turned their names into headlines. Credits to the photographer.
[Forgive the low quality, I had to share regardless though]. 🖤

Cherished Moments!
I’ve seen many beautiful pictures of the two of them, but something about this one just feels different — more intimate, more them. (With an added little image!)
1. Joe and Lucinda on the tour bus outside the Lomax in Liverpool.
2. Joe with Pete Wylie in the dressing room of the venue.
[Credits to John E. Zimmerman. 1999].

𓍼ོ
I found myself at Joe’s Place again this year, up in that quiet corner of Strummerville — my favourite place in the world, where everything feels lighter, softer, more real. I go every year. It’s not just a ritual anymore; it’s a return to myself.
There’s something sacred in the air up there. Not in a loud, showy way, but in the way the sun filters through the trees just right, and music wraps around you like something ancient and familiar. It feels like the world exhales. Like love lives there, unbothered and wild.
I got a little drunk. The kind of drunk that makes your cheeks ache from smiling. I wandered between voices and melodies, holding vegetable spring rolls like they were a gift from the gods, laughing with strangers who felt like old friends. And God, the music wasn’t just sound. It was feeling. It moved along the wind.
There were moments where time felt like it bent. Where I looked around and thought, this is what it means to be alive. Not in the big, loud ways but in the quiet pulse of joy, in the soft certainty that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
It was beautiful. Beyond beautiful.
It felt like the universe pulled back its curtain just a little, and let us see something holy.
With love,
A very happy girl. 🖤

Beautiful in Black & White.
This took my breath away. I’ve printed it out and put it in my wallet among all my cards—it’s a beautiful one, perhaps the most beautiful. Credits to Masatoshi Nagase. 🖤

Generation after Generation.
The most precious and beautiful moment captured in time. There aren’t many words that are able to sum this up apart from…they won’t ever forget this—either one of them.
The Whops (you can find them on IG & TikTok) with Paul on London’s busy streets performing The Guns of Brixton. 🖤

And so the day was brighter.
I recently came across this photograph of Joe (credits to @wakijsan on IG) and audibly “awed” at how sweet I think it is. What a beautiful candid photo. It’s a new one to treasure, that’s for sure.
I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, finding new images is a wonderful thing. Whether you’ve personally never seen them before or they’ve recently been released — either way it’s a pleasure. Long live Joe. 🖤

Sunshine in my pocket.
The more I look at them, the more I fall in love with the man he was, is, and always will be. There’s something about him that’s insanely human. Beautiful.
