(confess) - for your muse to make a confession of truth to mine {From Amser to Kas}
action memes
She was safe. Kas had no idea what had happened to her and that irked him more than he could express at the moment, but his focus had to be on keeping Amser stable. And he'd succeeded in that. She wasn't going to disappear, and he was well into the work of tending her wounds within a few moments. His focus so narrowed to Amser's needs, in fact, that he nearly forgot his parents in the adjacent room, whom he'd left with no answer as to the nature of the situation.
"I know it's not the best time for introductions..." he said softly, as he carefully cleaned one of her wounds with gentle fingers. "But I never told my parents about you. I...I know I should've, for their sake and yours, but I get lost in my work so easily..." He pursued his lips and reached for a bacta patch, feeling the air instantly deaden as his words hit them. So obsessive he couldn't even talk to his family was not a good look and he knew it.
"Once I finish patching you up, I'm going to have to talk to them about this," Kas continued finally. "If you want to come, you can, and I won't let my mother crowd you. If not, I'll only be in the other room."

“He…fell asleep,” Raven said in a whisper as she stared at the man in her and Anakin’s pillow fort. She’d tried to talk a bit to him as she led him into the room and offered him some of the extra pillows and blankets, but no sooner had she begun chattering away than she realized that her would-be guest was fast asleep. But this other Anakin wasn’t just their would-be guest. He could have been, would have been, should have been their father.
Her brother Anakin didn’t seem to be considering that as the twins watched the man sleep. “I knew he would!” he said cheerfully. “He’s tired. Don’t you remember? We could tell with the Force.”
“I expected him to have the Force,” Raven responded in a small voice. In all her use of her powers to get a sense of Anakin, she’d been unable to look away from the glaring detail that he just…didn’t have any Force connection. Did that mean she and her brother had gotten their incredible Force power from their mother alone? It must be so, but then, how did anyone or anything manage to kill her?
At a loss for what to do, Raven sat down in the pillows beside Anakin. No sooner had she done so than her brother had clambered up onto his chair where it hung down from the ceiling and got comfy, which was a good move, because they felt like they waited forever for their guest to wake up. So long, in fact, that Raven wasn’t sure how to answer when Anakin woke up and asked her.
“Ummm…” She put a hand to her mouth and glanced at her brother. “We didn’t mean to watch. We didn’t think you were going to be asleep for so long.”
“Sorry!” Anakin chimed in, getting down from his seat, only to practically hop from toe to toe with excitement. “Can I get you something to eat, now?” Raven’s brows jumped up in surprise, and her posture followed, but before she could make any protest, Anakin was already gone from the room. Undoubtedly, to find a service droid so that he could gather his favorite things for a tea party. Deflating in his absence, Raven turned to find herself alone with the other Anakin now.
“He’ll be back,” she muttered, shifting her knees up and wrapping her arms around them. “I didn’t think he was gonna make a tea party out of this. I just want to know who you are. I know what the Force says. Do you…do you recognize us?”
neverjedii:
Despite their vested interest in their grandmother’s guest, Raven and Anakin’s walk down from the balcony was certainly one of shame. They’d never been caught eavesdropping before, and now they’d have to find a new hiding spot if they ever wanted to get away with it again. Not only that, but the emotions they felt from both their grandmother and this new guest did not bode well for the mood the twins were in. Apprehensiveness and total exhaustion weren’t what would appease the insatiable curiosity of a 7-year-old, but the wheels in their little heads never stopped turning, and even as the twins were being reprimanded by their grandmother, they were already forming a plan.
“I was going to invite you two in at some point,” Edoli said to them. “Was I not clear?”
“No, grandma,” Anakin responded. “Aren’t we big enough to help you host now?”
“That wasn’t exactly why I-”
“Then we are!” Anakin cut her off with a triumphant air and faced his sister with a wide grin. Raven, already onto her brother’s train of thought and fascinated by this man in her own right, looked with pleading eyes up at her grandmother.
“We don’t need you to tell us why he’s here, grandma,” Raven added. “He and Anakin even have the same name!” Knowing now that things had spiraled out of her hands, Edoli gave a deep sigh. Comforting hands came to rest on the shoulders of her grandchildren, for the old woman still had concerns nagging at her mind about introducing the children to their father. Ones she of course couldn’t voice with the man right in front of them, but ones the children could sense nonetheless.
“You don’t need to be worried, grandma!” Anakin said, wrapping his arms around her waist. “We’ll take it from here!”
Ever the muscle of the operation, Raven was quick to carry out her brother’s intentions by leaving her grandmother’s side and approaching the man across the tea table. The other Anakin. Regarding the droid at his side carefully, she offered both of her little hands to him.
“Are you tired, mister?” she asked. “You can come and sit and talk with us!”
“We have a really nice pillow fort!” Anakin added enthusiastically.
Everything happened in a whirlwind of actions that Anakin could not process in his current state. Poe had warned him of going without taking care of himself first, but Anakin hardly was one to listen when it came to doing things that benefitted himself. Perhaps he was still punishing himself for his actions as Kylo Ren, but he tried not to think much about that anymore. In Poe’s and Finn’s eyes, he’d atoned for what he’d done. Shouldn’t their forgiveness have mattered more to him?
He found his own large hands in tiny ones and soon he was being carried off to the pillow fort the two children so eagerly talked about. The warmth of it and the softness of the pillows though was enough for the exhaustion to come onto him full force and there was nothing he could do to stop himself from falling asleep. He might have been conscious for awhile longer than he could recall, but anything said to him was not retained. The darkness that greeted him in his slumber was somewhat comforting, a reminder of the time he’d died on Exegol only for Rey to bring him back – giving her life instead. He hadn’t deserved that either.
Anakin woke up with a start, though he couldn’t remember having any dreams. He was met by curious eyes and a rumbling stomach. At least now that he was rested, he could somewhat process the situation. Here was this little girl staring at him and for the most part it was like seeing himself from the past. The only thing that threw him off were eyes, which reminded him so much of the one person who had loved him as he was. Abby.
“How … how long have you been watching me? Was I … out for long?”

(promise) - for your muse to make mine a promise, whether they intend to keep it or not (From Dezin to Anakin)
action memes
"What the...what the fuck happened?" Anakin's head was swimming still from when he'd undoubtedly fallen, for he came to lying on a cold stone floor. Dezin was there, a blessed relief, but that faded away somewhat when Anakin's vision stopped blurring enough to see that one of Dezin's arms was wet with blood.
"Are you alright?!" Anakin gasped, lurching forward and up to grip Dezin's slick arm, only to feel an uncomfortable jolt in the Force, and almost fall back down again. That wasn't Dezin's blood. "Is that...where's Raven? Did you..." When a hurried glance around brought no more evidence of Raven other than a trail of blood leading back away from where he and Dezin sat, Anakin turned instead to grip his lover's shoulders.
"I know she tried to hurt you," he said in a now frantic tone. "But she won't. I promise I'll never let her hurt you, I swear it on my life, but promise me you won't try to kill her!"

‘ you are not broken . ’ ( From Calis to Raven)
misc. quotes meme
"I couldn't protect him." Raven blinked rapidly -- it was her only way to hold back her tears while she was confined to the medbay cot like this. "I tried and all I did was make it worse. My whole life has been all about protecting him, and maybe I should just let him go his own way by now but I can't leave him to Morbus and Crix." With effort, she turned her head to look at Calis; every motion was suspect when it came to agitating the damaged parts of her back, the work of Darth Morbus of course.
"And I appreciate the sentiment," she added, forcing a small laugh. "But I am pretty broken if this is the most I can move my head."

Though Kylo was finishing up, Abby still took time to savor her last few bites of breakfast, and the tea that she washed them down with. She'd never had any real connection to a 'home,' in terms of a place; her home was wherever her loved ones happened to be, and she herself was moving around so often she hadn't thought to call a place home in years. It was memories like these -- the taste of good food and warm tea and the bliss of spending her wedding day with her soon-to-be husband -- that would surely fill her sense of home now.
"Ah, you see," she said, barely keeping down a burst of giggles at the thought suddenly in her mind. "Now you've let me choose, and I'm tempted to stay in the bath all day with you! There are all sorts of soaps that come with the suite. I wonder which will make the best bubbles?"
Abby could see that a part of Kylo still wasn't there with her, but she could tell once again that it was lost in his past. Reaching for his hand, she was determined to pull him out of it, and she gently guided him up out of their seats and back towards their quarters. The very first thing she did upon arriving was turn the handle to start filling the massive tub with warm water, and then she was examining the bottles, popping off caps to smell the various scents and offering them to Kylo for his consideration.
neverjedii:
It hardly took Abby any effort to tell that Kylo was thinking about his parents. She’d spent years hearing his complaints about them – valid though they were – and there just wasn’t any other subject that brought the expression he momentarily held to his face. It was only a moment, before he was digging into the food alongside her, but Abby didn’t blame him for the way it crossed his mind.
She’d been doing her best not to think about her parent’s marriage. It had ended when she was only three years old, but that short time, that one memory of them together told her everything she needed to know. Abby was almost sure that even if Nikai had turned around and treated her like a perfect angel for the rest of her life, she’d have never been able to trust her, because the image of her stabbing a man Abby now knew to be her father, Nikai’s husband, was enough to destroy it all. That couldn’t have come from anything good, and nothing good would ever come of it.
So, Abby and Kylo were on their own. They had no examples to follow, barely even anyone to consult as they dove headfirst into this marriage, and into this new life. But Abby wasn’t worried; all her nerves came from hoping the mechanics of the day itself went right. A life with Kylo as her husband almost seemed too good to be true, for she could find no downside. Not when they were sitting there like that, talking about how excited they were to see each other in their wedding attire.
“Well now I’m even more excited!” Abby confessed as Kylo suggested his clothing would surprise her. “As for my gown, well, I almost wish I could wear stuff like that more often. I know it’s all superficial, but it just makes me feel so pretty.” She reached for one of the pastries Kylo was eating; they looked delicious, and also more like human cuisine.
“Oh, by the way,” she added. “Speaking of being pretty, I know the Squad is going to drag me off and doll me up this morning. They’ve been excited about it since we decided on a wedding date, and I think they’ve planned something with Jamie for you as well. I told them they can descend upon us once we’ve eaten and showered. Did you see that bathtub in our refresher? It looks like it could fit us both, but I feel like then we’d want to spend all day in there.”
Kylo felt a warmth spread out onto his pale cheeks, flushing them a light shade of scarlet as Abby confessed she was excited to see his outfit for the wedding. It was certainly not what most would have considered his style and since he’d been under a mask for so long, it was hardly ever anything he’d ever thought about in the first place. His thoughts redirected though when she mentioned wishing she could dress that way more. His brows furrowing and lip jutting out ever so slightly before his hand went over hers as she reached for one of the pastries, holding her there for a second.
“You are pretty.” He said it quietly, as if the words were meant to be heard only by her. It’s not as if the droids would be swayed by such words, but it still felt wrong for any of them to even acknowledge it. His hand retreated and he continued to listen to her speak about plans. His appetite haven suddenly ran out. He pushes his plate aside, looking up at her again only when she asked him a question.
“I did. I … haven’t been in one of those since I was a child.” Swimming in lakes and things of the sort was completely different than a bath. He remembers how his mother used to run it with nice warm water with bubbles and how she would scoop the bubbles onto his head and make him giggle. It’d always been his favorite thing when he was younger, even when it was obvious by his mother’s eyes that she had been crying or hadn’t slept. It still was fond in his memory.
“I say it’s up to you … my love.” He gave a half smile, still caught in the memory of his mother, “I don’t mind either way.”

Grandma Edoli often had guests. Most of those guests were not allowed to see Raven and Anakin, but Raven and Anakin most certainly saw them. They eavesdropped with practiced expertise on their dear grandmother for no reasons other than their own boredom and loneliness. Uncle Jamie and the Squad visited them, and Edoli took good, attentive care of them, but they saw no one else. Their family insisted that it wasn’t safe. Though nobody ever said it plainly, the twins knew deep down that their sequestered life was a result of their mother’s death.
But they made the most of it. Cookies they’d stolen from the kitchen in hand, the two little children crouched on the balcony in their usual spot; an intricately cut decorative bush that they were still just barely small enough to wedge themselves into and be completely hidden. From there, they had a clear view down into the hall where the Countess met and hosted her guests, and listen in on the conversation.
“He has the same name as me!” Anakin noted in a whisper as Edoli greeted the man and bid him sit down.
“That’s funny,” Raven muttered back through a mouthful of cookie. “Look at his hair!”
“I think it’s nice,” Anakin reproached.
“Of course you do! It looks like ours!” Raven pointed, though with limited precision. Hiding in the shrubbery together had been much easier when they were 5 or 6. Two growing 7-year-olds was starting to push the limit.
“It does…” Anakin pressed his cookie to his closed lips in thought, peering down at the man as he and the Countess continued to speak. She offered the man tea, and cookies from the same platter Raven and Anakin had stolen from. He refused.
“That’s weird,” Raven said, almost to herself.
“Yeah! These cookies are delicious.” Anakin took another big bite of the one in his hand.
“But he’s hungry,” Raven continued. “I can feel he’s hungry. I don’t…I don’t get it.”
“You’re right!” Anakin picked up on his sister’s train of thought after only a moment, and then both of them were reaching out with the Force to probe the guest. “He doesn’t feel good at all. Almost…sick.”
“I thought he was sad.” Raven had forgotten her cookie now. “But he also…feels…familiar. And he looks like us. I wanna know why he’s here.”
“So do I.”
“Then I’m gonna find out.” Without hesitating another moment, Raven shoved her way out of the bush, heading for the stairs down to her grandmother’s meeting hall. She’d never done anything like this before, and Anakin panicked.
“Raven, wait!” he called, his voice ringing in the large room, and just like that, the eyes of their grandmother were on them with a shocked, frightened, then resigned air.
“I apologize, Anakin,” she sighed, turning to her guest. “I knew this news would be tough for you to hear and I did not want to just drop it on you all at once. But clearly, my dear grandchildren have other plans despite my instructions. It cannot be helped. Come down here, both of you.”

The motions of the meeting had all gone perfectly, right down to the wave of Abby's hand which dismissed Hux and his troopers to the respectful nod she made to Dolce Orsella in return for her curtsey. Everything except the most crucial part, that was. It had killed Abby to tell Anakin no, and watch his little face unravel with disappointment as he was refused the opportunity to meet with their visitor as well, to ask her his passionate questions about the arts of negotiation and makeup alike. But he didn't understand that he had to be hidden. All three of the children had to be hidden.
Abby should have known that they would disobey her.
"The honor is mine, Lady Orsella," Abby replied cordially. "Thank you for notifying me of the...mishap...but I am afraid I already know about it. It is an...ongoing problem, but in the grand scheme of things, a minor one. I am more grateful for your presence. The history of this throne where I sit is fraught, and I would right the past wrongs which were done from it. However, to do so without the input of the outside world would be another disservice. That is why you are here. Your political glory does not escape me. I believe that, should we work together, our mutual goals would never be out of reach."

“Lady Vader is that you?” Deadpool’s voice boomed throughout the halls of the ship but he seemed to have little regard for his safety despite being somewhere completely unfamiliar.
“Whoa whoa whoa” his hands raised as the stormtroopers accompanying the rather large woman turned around with blasters pointed at him. “I come in peace! If I had something white on besides my underwear I’d wave it for you, but as you can see … this suit is rather tight.” (To Abby or Raven from @chaosiisms )
"When the hell did Crimes McGhee gain a physical form?" Raven boomed back, shooing away the stormtroopers so she could speak to the weird little jumpsuited man that had somehow found his way onto her ship. "I'd afford you some dignity but it seems you never had any to begin with so I'll just cut to the chase; who are you, and where'd you get your audacity?"
Sneaking onto her ship was one thing. Addressing her as Lady Vader was another thing. His means of surrender was the last straw and he was lucky Raven had been raised around a droid who said just as shocking things almost on the daily, otherwise her reaction might have been shocking to match.

"Mmmm," Abby hummed low in her chest in affirmation. A part of her never wanted to stop kissing him, but she had to stop momentarily to rearrange herself so that they were both reclining on the bed while they made out. While they were, she felt like she was floating, but then when she inevitably had to pull away for air, something within her dropped like a stone. One of her hands came up to Ben's chest, this time to stop him short, her formerly half-closed eyes opening wide.
"Ben," she said, very quietly. "I am helping, right? On the ship, I mean. Cause all I seemed to do today was get in the way and I don't want you to be just keeping me around for sex."
neverjedii:
As Abby had fully expected, there was nothing wrong with the flight logs nor the cargo. It felt useful enough to check just in case, but once she did and found nothing wrong, she was more than happy to retire to Ben’s quarters – specifically to sprawl half-dressed on his bed, smoking a joint. She was more than aware it was a bad habit, but being left alone with her own mind while she waited for Ben was worse.
By the time he did show up, Abby was done, but her brain and body still buzzed with the influence of it. It certainly showed in her body language as she beckoned him towards her, running a hand over his chest and shoulder once he was within reach.
“Chewie won’t bother us here, right?” she muttered, her wandering hand now reaching for his hair so that she could she could grip his wavy locks, unable to resist kissing him again.
Fixing the compressor took a bit longer than normal due to Ben’s head not exactly being where it should have. He had to remind himself the longer the took, the longer it would take for him to get to Abby who was so patiently waiting for him. He was just glad when the ship was up and running.
“Hold the fort for me, Chewie. I have some business to attend to.” Ben joked with a wink and though Chewbacca made a sound of disapproval, he did go to the cockpit to keep an eye on the ship as it navigated to their next destination.
When Ben walked in to see Abby in her state of half undress, he took a moment to just soak in the view. His eyes scanning her body slowly before finally resting on her face. He walked forward when she beckoned for him, biting his lip a bit as her hands caressed him.
“He’s watching the controls to make sure we stay on course so I’d say he’s a little busy.” Ben said in one breath, “So I guess we can go back to what we were doing before, huh?”

❝  stop saying i’m jealous.  i’m not—  i just.  i don’t like having to share. ❞ (from sith Genesis)
Jealousy Prompts
"Look-" Abby bit her lip anxiously as she tried to find the right words for this predicament. She couldn't have expected Genesis. She certainly couldn't have expected Ben. How was she to know, and plan ahead, for falling in love with them both? Genesis had consented to this arrangement, of course, but it twisted Abby up inside to see her so jealous; or, in her words, to face such a learning curve when it came to sharing her lover.
"As long as you're happy, I am," Abby finally said. "Am I not..." She loathed to say it, but she had to. "...Not paying enough attention to you?" Despite lavishing both of her lovers with gifts and outings and romantic dinners, the idea that it wasn't enough was crushing, but also frighteningly accurate. "Maybe I haven't said it enough, but you mean...so much to me, Genesis. Don't ever think otherwise."

❝  no one should even get to look at you unless you want them to.  ❞ (main verse Kylo)
Jealousy Prompts
Abby supposed this kind of experience was an occupational hazard. Taking the throne of Supreme Leader with reforms in mind had been a gamble, for sure, and now it seemed her luck had run out a bit. Her visit to the faraway Order outpost on one of Lothal had confirmed such. The officers there did not want reforms or peace; war was what they wanted, and now that news had come back to her husband of the way she'd been treated there, war was surely what they would get.
"They didn't hurt me," Abby reminded him, brushing an anxious hand through her hair. "They couldn't have actually carried out any of those threats...you know I could've handled myself if they tried, right?"

❝  i belong to you.  only ever you.  ❞ (from modern Kylo)
Jealousy Prompts
"And there is nothing that has ever made me doubt that," Abby said gently, placing a kiss on his cheek. A warm breeze made the curtains of their bedroom window rustle, and she was sure she could hear the faint sound of the sea from where they lay in their bed. The bed which they'd share for the rest of their lives, or at least if Abby had her way. She couldn't imagine anything different, or at least, not when they were married and expecting.
"You know, when I first fell in love with you, this is not what I expected our lives to look like," Abby confessed. "But all that mattered then was that you loved me. That's all that matters now, too. That we love each other."

❝  i just didn’t like the way they were looking at you.  like you weren’t mine.  ❞ (from smuggler Ben)
Jealousy Prompts
"You think I liked it either?" Abby tugged the fluttering edges of her jacket closer around her, thinking more of the wandering gazes they'd encountered in the seedy bar than of the wind. "You just beat me to beating their asses!" She forced a grin and gave Ben a playful nudge on the arm, but the light mood died quickly, leaving just the whistling of the wind and the crunch of their footsteps in its place.
"You say I'm yours," Abby finally said after a long pause, unable to stifle her curiosity any longer. "Do you really mean it? Because if you do, then I suppose you are mine."

❝  i promise there’s no one else.  you have my heart completely.  ❞ (from senator solo)
Jealousy Prompts
He was right, of course. He was right and they both knew it, but...that didn't stop her from wanting to snap at the people who didn't know that. The women especially, who thought they could still seduce him, still use him.
"It's not your integrity I worry about, Ben," she said gently, but the hand that stroked along his arm and cupped his cheek was more possessive than comforting. "I just...now that I have you, I can't ever imagine losing you."
