Something I love love love about silverborn is how insane it made me feel. So right off the bat we start with a group of random kids, I wanna guess unit 920? And then I don’t think we hear from them ever again. We have the miscommunications between mog and Jupiter, the whole “my mother named me Morrigan Odelle Crow, call me by that” thing and then by the end “you can call me Mog” and then thefehedhshdh they hugged they HUGGEDDDD. and the “love you Mog” “love you too uncle Jove” aajdhsjdhsjdjwjdj and how it wasn’t forced to be a sort of father and adopted daughter thing. How they can still be close as chosen family but as uncle and adopted niece and I’m a sucker for that. I personally don’t have a great relationship with my dad’s siblings’ side of the family, so this was definitely a bit of comfort for me. I also loved Jack and Morrigan confiding in each other about their heavy things, like how they did in previous books.

Being in a fandom for 20+ years is weird because you’ll see posts like, “How come I never see people mention x” and it’s like. We did. We talked about that a lot, actually. Actually it’s something that came up. And it’s hard not to be like, “Yeah, we discussed this fifteen years ago.” Half of this fandom wasn’t even born when these discussions happened. Wild.

If we ever get a Hollowpox movie I need the scene with Frank swinging from the blackbird chandelier to be adapted verbatim. That scene is genuinely one of the funniest in the whole series. The people who end up just watching the movie need to know that Jupiter spends thousands of kred on cocktail umbrellas every month. Peak Deucalion dynamic.

nevermoor is so funny bc the protagonist spends the entire first book trying to join a special society both to save her own life and to have a sense of belonging and purpose and to finally have a family and after so much struggle and sacrifice she finally makes it in...

and then in the second book on literally her first day she finds out the society's motto is "fuck them kids"

You know how we thought that the pink sailing ship from the first book was a symbol of Jupiter because of his exploring. What if it was actually a symbol of Rosie, cause she was the explorer
