▶ Eryn is 13cm long and 8cm tall when standing, with a wingspan of 12cm. He takes 6mm flatback eyes.

▶ There are 5 different standard colors you can choose from. Nightsky and Twilight will come shiny to really show their depth and sparkle, Willow and Coral will come matte. With Ghost you can decide for yourself if you want it shiny or matte.

▶ You have something else in mind? No problem. For 20$ extra, you can get your very own custom color. Be it pearl, glitter or a flat color, shiny or matte, anything is possible. Check my feed to see the variety of what's possible.

▶ You can pick a pair of free eyes for each dragon you buy. Want more? Each extra pair is 5$.

▶ Eryn has 27 joints in total for fluid and solid posing. His wings are removable, and each dragon will come with a small cover piece if you decide to keep the wings away.

▶ He is fully handsculpted and professionally cast.

I wish I could remember where I got these but I have a large pair of clear eyes that I bought alongside some coloured ones in case I didn't like the default colour, and planned to paint/back them with fabric to better match my project, but didn't end up needing to. They weren't available in too many sizes and only with round pupils that I remember though!

the day i figure out how to make my own safety eyes and can have them be any color i want it's over for yall

Bonus Tiny Dinosaur modelling it, it's quite a bit too long but scrunched down looks like a really big cosy cowl

Working out garter gradients is weird

I have a test which looks similar on both sides, and I'm not sure which side makes a better "right" side

One results in clean stripes in the middle... but maybe it's too neat? Both colors stay clearly defined even when stretched

The other has a more scattered look, I think it could be nice with variegated/similarly coloured yarns as there's more mixing in the middle especially when stretched

So I'm curious, not for this specific orange-red combo, but in general

A really important part of pattern writing is testing, which has been going on today. I have made a few adjustments to the length calculations based on this test run

Tiny Dinosaur on scales for scale

I really love how these colours go together in a scattered gradient, there are five different colours but aside from the fairly clear bronze zone they blend quite subtly!

I always had a plan to have an ultimate version and a light version (no design page, faster to run and broadly compatible with most spreadsheet software) bundled together, and despite my best efforts with conditional formatting it has become clear that the ultimate version's design page needs some VBA coding to be useable

By which I mean it was very much functional but infeasibly slow with all the conditional formatting set up and running, BUT now as well as easing up the load on the computer by using efficient code, the door is open to making a painting tool built in excel much more user friendly in general!

We can have buttons now! Buttons for tasks like painting, filling, and erasing with a click! The fill is not exactly fast despite my efforts to streamline it several times, but it's still a huge improvement over painting all of your glove with a background color manually

And as you might spot, the ultimate goal has been achieved; the pattern now also allows the choice between scales just covering the back of the arm, or knitting scales all the way around!

I have, unbeknownst to everyone (including myself), apparently been charging my pattern writing energies for... ten years? Possibly more.

But it really looks like I just might finally nail the Ultimate Pattern For Scale Mail Gloves Of Any Size And Length...... through the power of spreadsheets

This thing is kind of starting to look pattern shaped, we have all the instructions turning up on in the right order and even a built in row counter to mark the current row

And a visual designer that is really coming along, scales in the design are counted, recolourable for clearer visualisation, and added straight into the worded pattern above in the correct order so it'll super easy to tell which color to add when

a few weeks ago I just discovered that banded amethysts exist, which are really pretty yk

again, quite pretty :D
