I open my window and all i see are eyes.
Eyes looking at me. Watching me.
I try to open my mouth, to say something, to have small talk like I’ve always practiced in the mirror but my voice won’t come out, my words are falling over each other and I quickly close the window.
A failure. First thing in the day and I’ve already failed.
I put on clothes that are not for my eyes but the eyes out there and i look at my face so the eyes out there won’t find faults in it.
My face is covered in faults, i try to fix some but some simply can’t be fixed. ~It’s who i am~
Failure.
Second thing in the day and I’ve failed.
I get out
The eyes look at me and i run.
I don’t look at the eyes.
I still see them.
Everywhere i turn my face the eyes are there.
And they’re looking at me.
I reach my destination.
The eyes there are familiar, younger and less invasive.
I look at them.
I see eyes with hope, eyes with visions for the future, eyes with a look of care.
And then they look at me, some have the look of the outside eyes. Some seem to look like familiar eyes. I do not know if it’s real. My perception is failing me. Things aren’t as they seem.
I search in the crowd for the eyes that know me . I find myself escaping to them. Their faces accept me,and i see emotions that are happy to be exposed.
Throughout the day i see all kinds of eyes. Eyes judging us, eyes with expectations of us, eyes that had their hope stolen from them long ago.
They hide it.
But how can i not see it when i too am hiding?
I go home and i see eyes. Eyes that look like they once were home for hope, on a face that looks like it can’t afford to have emotion. Did they once too have hopes and dreams? Will my eyes end up like them?
I have forgotten how my eyes look. I search for a mirror and when i look at my face.
I can’t see my eyes. But i can see. How can i see?
I don’t acknowledge the problem, i draw eyes on my face that don’t look like my eyes.
My eyes are gone and i can’t have them back.

This evening, Israeli residents set fire twice to the perimeter of the UNRWA Headquarters in occupied East Jerusalem.
This took place while UNRWA and other UN Agencies’ staff were on the compound.
While there were no casualties among our staff, the fire caused extensive damage to the outdoor areas. The UNRWA headquarters has on its grounds a petrol and diesel station for the Agency’s fleet of cars.
Our director with the help of other staff had to put out the fire themselves as it took the Israeli fire extinguishers and police a while before they turned up.
A crowd accompanied by armed men were witnessed outside the compound chanting “Burn down the United Nations” (see video below 👇 from Israeli media).
This is an outrageous development. Once again, the lives of UN staff were at a serious risk.
In light of this second appalling incident in less than a week, I have taken the decision to close down our coumpound until proper security is restored.
Over the past two months, Israeli extremists have been staging protests outside the UNRWA compound in Jerusalem, called by an elected member of the Jerusalem municipality.
This week, the protest became violent when demonstrators threw stones at UN staff and at the buildings of the compound.
Over the past months, UN staff have regularly been subjected to harassment and intimidation. Our compound has been seriously vandalized and damaged.
On several occasions, Israeli extremists threatened our staff with guns.
It is the responsibility of the State of Israel as an occupying power to ensure that United Nations personnel and facilities are protected at all times.
UN staff, premises and operations should be protected at all times in line with international law.
I call on all those who have influence to put an end to these attacks and hold all those responsible accountable.
The perpetrators of these attacks must be investigated and those responsible must be held accountable.
Anything less will set a new dangerous standard.
-Philippe Lazzarini, commissioner general of UNRWA

By the way, Israel made sure that when it started its invasion of Rafah to have that initial area include the only hospital in Rafah.
Right now, there is literally only one single functioning healthcare provider in Rafah, the Kuwait Specialty Hospital, that is supposed to serve 1.4 million people and it's in fact a small healthcare centre.
Despicable beyond measure. You simply cannot pretend to not see through these genocidal tactics.

Israel is now bombing 1.7 million civilians trapped in Rafah, threatening an imminent invasion of the last “safe place” in Gaza.
Israel is committing the worst crimes in modern history, and Western regimes are calling it “self-defense”.
Never forget. Never forgive.

Even though Hamas called for mutual agreement on the ceasefire. Netanyahu backed by Joe Biden invaded Rafah rejected the offer and still attacked rafah knowing everyone was there. The plan was to place everyone in rafah and then unleash their evil plan of mass killing of people in rafah. This will be written exactly as it is and our children will read about Genocide in Gaza and the only question they will have is " where were the Muslim? Where was Arab ?

The vast majority of the displaced people who fled the severe bombing in Rafah left their homes on foot, left everything behind them, and walked with their children very long distances, because they simply did not have the rent of a car that would carry them and their luggage!!
Have you seen oppression greater than this? Have you seen pain greater than this!!

"We urge international, regional, official Arab, and Islamic popular mobilization to stop the genocide immediately and curb the occupation’s terrorism through sit-ins in squares, cities, and universities, cutting off supplies to the occupation by land, sea, and air, and holding it accountable for its crimes in international courts, as we call on the resistance in all arenas and fronts to escalate their resistance against the zionist occupation and its supporters until the aggression against our people stops."

The Met Gala happened last night.
So did the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Rafah.
Celebrities line up on red carpets with stunning suits and beautiful dresses, sparkling and glistening in the flashes of camera lights.
While across the sea in Palestine, cities burn and children die under carpet bombs in the only place they have left to go.
Tickets to the Met Gala cost $75,000. Dozens of famous people shell that out, having no idea what to do with their truck-fulls of money.
People in Palestine starve to death, and use dirty rags as pads and tampons while leaflets from Israel fall from the sky telling them to evacuate.
Evacuate where?
Rafah is the only place they have left to go.
Fuck the Met Gala.
Free Palestine. 🇵🇸
