Yoga‘s role critical in helping us cope with Corona stress
Tumblr media
By Puja Shree
It will be grossly unfair to draw an analogy between Yoga and any other practice or discipline as every practice has its own distinctiveness.
Yoga is much more than a physical exercise as it has a unique meditative and spiritual component.
Derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Yog’, Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines that finds its roots in ancient India. The practice of yoga dates back to the Pre-Vedic Indus Valley era around 3000 BCE. Yoga finds a mention in the Rigveda, as well as in the Upanishads. The credit goes to Indian Yoga Gurus for introducing Yoga to the Western world.
Yoga is all about positivity, and spreading positivity through positive aura.
Our body makes connections with the mind, and together, the mind and the body make connections with the soul, and then going further, the soul makes connection with the Supreme Force, the God.
Similarly, when there is a global level connect between different nations, it plays a pivotal role in bridging gaps and eventually paves the way towards exploring solutions to most complex of problems.
In these trying times of Corona Pandemic, there are many self styled passionate volunteers who have played a remarkable role in acting as good Samaritans by reaching out to those in need of basic living amenities like food, medicines and sanitizers.
The Time tested Yoga practices have emerged as not only one of the best stress buster remedies this Corona, but have simultaneously played a vital role in inspiring people to be good human beings by caring for those in suffering, need and pain.
The role of Yoga in helping us deal with stress has indeed been very critical especially during the time when life has literally come to a grinding halt all of a sudden.
While we may be physically apart from each other, our bonds have remained intact as most of us have remained in touch with our loved ones and friends through the digital media
Yoga has the remarkable power to help people connect with each other as well as with your own self. Life today is extremely stressful owing to stringent deadlines and the unending hullabaloo that has become an integral part of our existence. As a result, more and more people are falling prey to life threatening ailments and other health hazards. Ask experts, and they will suggest you umpteen medications. I, for one, have always adhered to basic fitness regimes and a healthy lifestyle. It is a well acknowledged fact that most of the simple or complicated ailments are related to the sedentary and lethargic lifestyles. The benefits of age old practices such as morning or evening walking are innumerable, and should never be overlooked. The WHO definition of Health is, “a state of positive physical, mental and social well being, and not merely absence of disease”. I have always promoted the cause of positive health and total wellness of the individual as a whole “body, mind & spirit”.
As far as attaining a state of ‘Peace’ is concerned, it is a state of feeling well and being at peace with oneself, irrespective of the circumstances. One actually does not care of being lonely, or being with your friends and relatives. Meditation and having a positive attitude are effective ways to discover inner peace. Walking, pursuing hobbies, devoting time towards community work etc. help attain the much needed peace.
Corona Pandemic has already taught us many lessons, and who knows if it is going to have a drastic impact on our lives in times to come.
Now as we enter Lockdown 5.0 phase, it is time for the Mankind to not only embrace Yoga, but to make it an integral component of their day to day lives as it can help us lead a more holistic lifestyle!!

Post Corona, India will emerge as a “Global Superpower”
Tumblr media
By Renu Kakar
These are real unprecedented times when the entire Mankind has been subjected to a real Test.
Living life in a "Lockdown Mode" is a Test of one's resilience, resolve and perseverance, all combined. We, as a Nation of 1.3 billion, have so far displayed exemplary restraint and determination to ensure that we are successful in breaking the transmission chain. While we maybe still uncertain whether the Lockdown tenure would get stretched to Phase 4 or not, what we are really certain about, is the fact, that we would be the first Nation to hand a crushing defeat to Corona in the near future. In the absence of any cure for Corona presently, all we can do at the present juncture, is to sincerely adhere to all the norms that we have asked to follow during the course of the Lockdown.
The need of the hour is to stand unified in supporting both the ruling dispensation, as well as the braveheart Frontline Corona Warrior's who are leading the fight from the front like Real “Champions of Humanity”.
We would do a world of good to ourselves as well as our Motherland if we continue maintaining “Social Distancing” like before so as to avert the threat of community transmission.
Keeping in consideration India's humongous population, India has actually shown the world the way to combat eventualities like Corona that has wreaked havoc on nations like the USA, UK, Italy, Spain etc.
Albeit it may still be a long fight ahead as we are all fighting an “Invisible Enemy” and also because most of the positive cases are asymptomatic, but what we are absolutely sure about, is the fact that India will emerge as the new “Super Power” in the coming times.
A "Super Power" that the world would not only envy, but one that would allure other nations to have long lasting  economic, political, and trade ties with India.
Indubitably, the world citizenry is on the threshold of witnessing the era of "Chexit". As the name itself suggests, "Chexit" would mark the formal snapping of trading ties between China and its old trading partner countries.
The chorus is already growing louder by the day for sanctions against China as many nations have unanimously concurred that China had conspired to unleash a biological warfare on other countries so as to establish its overall supremacy on the global forum.
As a immediate fallout of “Chexit”, many countries will be inspired to make a beeline towards India to initiate a new era of trade ties and mutual economic prosperity. It is expected that India will now be laying more emphasis on manufacturing than trade and this in turn, will provide the much needed impetus to the ambitious "Make in India" project of the government.
Also, due onus has to be given to maintaining a balance between exports and imports that the country does henceforth, as proportionate export volume will play a pivotal role in not only consolidating the foreign exchange reserves, but also help in reviving the economy.
Thus, the need of the hour in these trying times, is to remain positive and stay focused towards realizing the Mission of making India once again the "Land of the “Golden Sparrow".
Post Corona, India will emerge as the new “Global Superpower”, and there’s absolute optimism about that.

Kalka Mata Devotees turn “Covid Warriors”
Tumblr media
By Bipin Sharma
Situated in the heart of the city in South Delhi, Kalkaji Temple holds colossal significance for devotees all over the globe. One of the most famous Temples of the Divine Goddess, Kalkaji Temple is an ancient and highly revered Sidhpeethas of the country. With its rich mythological significance, Kalkaji Temple is abode of the Divine Goddess “Kalka” or “Kali”, who is an incarnation of Goddess Durga. The Temple is situated atop a small hill, and is visited in huge numbers by devotees 365 days a year from all nooks and corners of the world.
Tumblr media
During the festive season of Navratris, the Holy Temple is thronged by countless devotees from all nooks and corners of the country. Since time immemorial, Kalkaji Temple has been a beacon of faith and fulfillment to countless of devotees from all over the world.
Appeased with their ardent devotion, Goddess Kalka granted the victory boon to the Pandavas here as an outcome of which they were successful in defeating the Kauravas in the epic Mahabharata war.
Tumblr media
Since the outbreak of the Novel Corono Pandemic and the subsequent announcement and imposition of complete lockdown in the country, Mata Devotees have not only exhibited due caution and restraint, but have also played a pivotal role in spreading awareness among the underprivileged segments of the society about the pertinence of following social distancing norms. Devotees have in their special ways, played a critical role, in ensuring that the people in their vicinity adhere to the rudimentary norms and guidelines issued by the government.
Acting as real “Covid Warriors” and Heroes of the society in these trying and turbulent times, Kalka Mata devotees have organized “langar” for the slum dwellers in different areas, and have been spreading awareness about the need to remain in the confines of their homes so as to help break the chain of community transmission. Sanjay Kathuria, a devotee along with other devotees have organized langar sewa in their respective areas for the poor and migrant labourers.
Tumblr media
Unlike temples that remain closed during events like lunar and the solar eclipse, the doors of Kalkaji Temple remains forever open for the devotees round the year sans any restriction. However with the imposition of the lockdown, the temple entry was curtailed for the devotees as was the case with all other religious institutions across the length and breadth of the country.
Tumblr media
Ardent Mata devotee and aspiring devotional singer Pankaj Laadla has been going to the Kalkaji Temple on a regular basis since the past many years. Like countless other beings, Pankaj too was distressed, and found it tough to come to terms with the grim veracity in the first week of the imposition of the lockdown.
Tumblr media
It was tormenting for Pankaj to imagine life without a daily visit to the Kalkaji Temple. For the last few years, it had become a ritual of a sort for him to be singing devotional songs in praise of Divine Goddess Kalka in the Bhawan. The devotees feel a direct enchanting connect with Pankaj's mellifluous voice and endless passion for devotional music. Since it was mandatory for everyone to be in a state of complete lockdown, Pankaj deemed it best to initiate a process of daily singing live on Facebook for his large number of followers. Quite naturally, the cheer on Pankaj's face says it all, as he is overwhelmed with the endless love and support of all his FB friends and well wishers. Pankaj attributes it solely to the divine blessings of Kalka Mata that he has reached the threshold of launching a new music Album dedicated to Kalka Maa.
With the objective of keeping everyone rejuvenated and in a positive frame of mind, Mata Ki Chowkis and other devotional programs are being hosted on Apps like Zoom that enable the devotees to view the same safely from their homes.
Anuj Mittal, Chairman of Shree Kalka Ji Sajja Sewadar Mitr Mandal (Regd) has led from the front, and has organized Mata Ki Chowkis on the Zoom App so as to ensure both spiritual enchantment as well as digital connectivity. Besides, Anuj has played an incredible role as a "Covid Warrior" by continuously spreading awareness about the need to exercise restraint during the lockdown phase. Anuj will soon be organizing Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta Katha through Zoom App.
Tumblr media
Priest Ajay Bhardwaj shares, “We stand unified like one integrated unit with our country and Prime Minister in these challenging times and crisis moments. There is a complete restriction on the entry of any devotee to the Temple premises. Lockdown norms are being completely followed, and we are working in tandem with the government. Various entry points leading to the Temple have all been sealed till the period of lockdown. The sanitation workers have done a brilliant job in sanitizing the entire Temple compound. We are praying for the well being and safety of every human irrespective of their caste, creed, religion or nationality. We are optimistic that Humanity will soon emerge triumphant over Corona Virus.”
Tumblr media
Elucidating more on the same, Priests Sapan and Sarvesh Bhardwaj say, “Akin to the concept of “Work from Home”, the lockdown has resulted in the emergence of a temporary new phenomenon named “Devotion from Home” wherein devotees are offering their prayers through the virtual medium. As Temple Priests, we duly understand the plight of countless devotees who have been thronging the Temple since last many years. For them to cope with this sudden turn of events, is indeed commendable. I must laud each one of them as they have all proven themselves to be real wise and responsible citizens of our great Nation.”
Tumblr media
Prominent member of Kalka Mata’s Sewadaar Samiti, Uma Ratudi has displayed extraordinary mettle during these crucial times, and played her role to perfection in undertaking the sanitation and cleanliness chores in the Temple.
No wonder, extraordinary circumstances often bring along with them extraordinary strength and resilience . ..and help ordinary beings evolve into extraordinary Heroes.
Kalka Mata Devotees have in their own special way etched their names as True “Champions of Humanity”.

Dr Sushanta Basu- A Divine Emissary for his countless patients
Tumblr media
By Bipin Sharma
Since time immemorial Medicine has been regarded and hailed as the noblest of all professions.
While sporadic rise in incidents of medical negligence coupled with soaring healthcare costs and corporatization of the Healthcare Industry has indubitably dented the glorious image of the overall Healthcare Industry, there are Doctors who are still considered as "Divine Emissaries".
Talk about such outstanding Doctors, and the first name that strikes the mind is that of Dr Sushanta Basu (MBBS, PG Certified on Health & Family Welfare Management, MBA (HCA) from FMS, Delhi) who has done humanity proud with his selfless service to mankind for the last four decades.
His biggest virtues are Integrity and a humongous experience of 41 long years of Health Administration.
Unlike those who flaunt a long celebrity list of patients, Dr Basu feels privileged that his patient directory comprises the "aam aadmi" of the city especially the ones from the EWS strata.
In his illustrious career, Dr Basu never went for any lucrative offers for working overseas, as he always nurtured the desire of serving his own Motherland. He feels extremely fortunate that he has lived his dream by devoting himself for his countrymen all these years.
This is precisely why he feels that his biggest reward as a Medico professional has been the blessings from his countless patients whom he has treated and cured all these years.
His motivation has been heeling the sick and the injured, and bringing a smile on the faces of those in need and pain.
In the forthcoming Delhi Medical Council Elections 2020 next month, 45 doctors are in the fray contesting for 8 coveted posts of the governing council of the State Medical Regulator.
Tumblr media
Dr Basu has filed his nomination for Member, Delhi Medical Council as he strongly believes that he can make a marked difference to the existing state of affairs. The fact that DMC which is primarily a council of medical practitioners, has no representation from MCD, is what inspired Dr Basu to throw his hat in the rang for the forthcoming DMC Elections slated to be held on Sunday, 8th March'2020 at IARI, Pusa. All those with a valid registration with DMC are eligible for voting in these elections.
Tumblr media
Sharing more on the avenues where he would focus, Dr Sushanta Basu says, "If elected as a member of the prestigious DMC, my emphasis will be on ensuring safety measures for practicing and resident doctors at their work place keeping in mind the growing incidents of vandalism and violence against Doctors. Undertaking a steadfast drive to rid the system of Quackery will be my top priority. Added to this, we will leave no stone unturned in reviving the glorious image of the medico professionals by undertaking some robust measures, and spreading the awareness among medical practitioners for adhering to the mandatory code of ethics. As a team, we will continually strive to incorporate the valid views and suggestions of every Doctor in order to make DMC a real inclusive body, in reality. Last but not the least, we will deliver solutions to the core issues concerning the doctors, thereby ensuring their overall welfare. Our concrete actions will speak much louder than words and mere lip service. I have dedicated the last 41 years of my life towards serving the Humanity, and by deciding to contest the forthcoming DMC Elections, I wish to play a more larger and a proactive role in times to come."

Kalkaji Temple- The lifeline for countless Devotees of Mata
Tumblr media
By Bipin Sharma
Situated in the heart of the capital city Delhi, Kalkaji Temple is one of the most famous Temples dedicated to Goddess “Kali” or “Kalka”. The Temple has since time immemorial, been a beacon of faith and fulfillment to thousands of devotees from all over the world holding great significance for the pilgrims. The Temple is the abode of Divine Goddess “Kali”, who is an incarnation of Goddess Durga. Situated atop a small hill, the temple presents a breathtaking sight with lights and the devotees dressed in the best of their traditional attires. The ancient Temple is visited 365 days a year by countless devotees from all nooks and corners of the globe. On festive days and special occasions, devotees have to wait for a long time in unending long queues before they are blessed with the “Divine Darshan” of the Goddess.
Tumblr media
It’s a sight to behold the dazzling light diyas adorning the temple that add to the overall divine ambience. The enchanting “Jaikaras” in praise of the Goddess make the experience all the more memorable.
Tumblr media
Kalkaji Temple with its mythological significance follows various rituals in a day such as the “Mata Snanam” with Milk and Gangajal ensued by morning and evening Aarti. It’s a once in a lifetime moment to witness the “Sajja Ritual” that happens to be the final ritual for the day when Divine Mother goes off to her slumber in the night. During the Sajja Ritual, you have the professional singers like Guljari Lal, Indu Khanna, Parveen Johar, Pankaj and Master Sunny singing mellifluous hymns along with the devotees during the Sajja Ritual.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ritualistic (Puja Archana) is performed on a monthly basis by different families on a turn to turn basis from a total of 400 plus strong family of Brahmins. Folklore is replete with numerous tales of Kalkaji Temple. There’s a great deal of relevance attached to devotees observing a continuous 40 day (Chalia ritual) in the holy premises of this Temple. It is a belief that those who are able to devotionally perform the 40 day Chalia ritual in sync with the customs of the Temple are rewarded by Goddess Kalka with their long treasured wishes.
Tumblr media
Carved out of marble and black pumice boulders, Kalkaji Temple has 12 entry points (Dwars) leading to the main “Bhawan” that houses the revered Goddess Kalka in a ‘Pindi’ form.
Besides the numerous Dharamshalas in and around the Temple compound, there are plenty of shops offering items and accessories for performing rituals.
In the vicinity of Kalkaji Temple, there are two other prominent religious landmarks namely the Isckon Temple and the Lotus Temple. Owing to the existence of the three Iconic Temples, the area was rightly named “Ashtha Kunj”. The presence of an ornamental and a well maintained park adds everlasting glory to the entire area.
Tumblr media
Sharing more on the history of Kalkaji Temple, President of “Shri Kalka Maa Dharmarth Trust Sudha Bhardwaj shares, “The Kalkaji Temple is thronged by countless devotees round the year owing to its historical significance. Such is the ‘divine pull’ that it takes just a solitary visit to get allured to the Temple forever. Talk to devotees, and they will narrate how they have been visiting this blessed place since many years. Contrary to the myth that the senior citizens constitute a bigger segment of devotees visiting the Temple, the reality remains that it is actually the youngsters that outnumber devotees of other age groups. Legend has it that the Pandavas were advised by Lord Krishna to worship the Goddess Kalka. Appeased with the ardent devotion of the Pandavas, Goddess Kali granted them victory boon for the epic Mahabharata war against the mighty Kauravas. Most of the devotees who have been regular visitors to the Temple attribute their life’s successes, accomplishments and glory to Goddess Kalka. Also known as the “Indraprastha Ki Devi” and the “Goddess of Justice”, Goddess Kalka delivers fair justice to those who come in seek of her divine refuge. Even the sinners who come and do penance here are showered with the choicest of blessings. Such peerless is this place that devotees can actually feel blissful vibrations. For the true devotees, Divine Mother grants instant boons and rewards. Besides, it is a conviction that the Goddess answers all the problems of her devotees, and ensures that no one goes empty handed from her portals. Married into the family of priests, I feel fortunate to have been in the service of the Holy Mother since long. It is a time tested fact that however hard one may strive, a devotee can seek the Mother’s Darshan only when there is Bulawa (Divine Call) from the Goddess herself. Devotees organize Bhandaras within the holy precincts of the Temple on a regular basis. The Temple wears a vibrant festive look during the auspicious Navratri period twice a year. In the wake of the recent terror attacks, security in and around the temple complex has been strengthened alongside the installation of CCTV’s for keeping a round the clock vigil for averting any sort of any untoward eventuality. As far as cleanliness and state of hygiene is concerned, a 28 member committee has been diligently undertaking and supervising sanitation in the Temple complex. As a result of the regular sanitation drives, the Temple complex wears a far cleaner look than what it is used to, in the past.”

Ankit delivers an awe-inspiring lecture at LPU
Tumblr media
By Bipin Sharma
Eminent Political Analyst on the National TV and Social Entrepreneur, Ankit Arora was recently invited as a Guest Speaker in Lovely Professional University (LPU). As a private university, LPU situated in Phagwara, Punjab was established in 2005, and started operations in 2006. With 24,000 students in 2010, it is one of the largest single-campus private university in India.
Ankit, an ex alumni of LPU delivered a highly motivational lecture with key emphasis on “Nation Building” and the significant role of the youth brigade as “Nation Builders”.
Tumblr media
Addressing the packed gathering comprising the 2nd Year engineering students and other staff members, Ankit said, “It is indubitably a dream come true to be addressing the young minds at an institute where I have spent four golden years of my life that I will always cherish. I have absolutely no hesitation in saying that the youths have a pivotal role to play in “Nation Building’. I feel so inspired to see immense promise in each and every student present here in this auditorium. The 21st century youth is expected to be well abreast with all the issues plaguing the country in addition to being fully aware of the accomplishments of the nation. I for one, feel euphoric that my great Motherland has significantly moved from the era of “Make in China” to “Make in India”, and this signifies “New India”. The fact that the country has risen from parochial mindset to development signifies “New India”. The fact that every citizen of the country feels it imperative on their part to contribute towards Nation Building signifies “New India”. Coming to the issue of Nation Building, “Educationists” have since time immemorial been regarded and hailed as ‘Nation Builders’ as they have incessantly played a major role in holistically grooming the all-round personality of young minds and transforming them into assets for the society and the nation on the whole. That our children too are taught by the same educators from whom we learnt the finer lessons of life shows how educators have been assiduously going on in their mission of imparting education, year after year, generations after generations. One does not have to be a tycoon such as the Ambani’s, Birla’s or the Tata’s to be acknowledged as a Nation Builder. Anyone who has made a significant contribution towards humanity and society in particular, can be termed as a “Nation Builder”. The day is not far when my country…my India will emerge as a ‘Super Power’ in the true sense in different spheres. My understanding of the word “Superpower” may differ from others since I interpret it as an overall and holistic emergence of my country’ in various spheres, and not just economic and military might. For ensuring the progress of the nation, the society has to evolve both at the micro and the macro level.”
Tumblr media
Present during the two hour lecture were senior HOD’s , LPU Alumni Association and Deputy Director Gaurav. After the lecture, Ankit went to seek blessings from the Executive Dean Loviraj Gupta and Pro chancellor Rashmi Mittal.

Nida Malik launches her book "Blaming My Hormones" at WBF
Tumblr media
By Bipin Sharma
Delhi based Nida Malik made an impressive debut as Author by penning her first book titled "Blaming My Hormones" at Hotel Taurus Sarovar Portico recently.
The book launch event was hosted by hotelier and philanthropist Kanwarjeet Singh Kochhar at Taurus Sarovar Portico, indubitably one of the most majestic properties in Mahipalpur on the Delhi-Gurgaon highway near the Airport.
The book launch was a well attended event that saw distinguished personalities like Dr PS Sabharwal (Retd bureaucrat), Alhaj S.R. Ali, Amanpreet Kaur (CEO, Balaji Media), Sidhartha Sen & Mahendra Awasthi (media personalities) in full attendance.
After the book launch event at Taurus, Nida launched her book at the World Book Fair (WBF) 2019, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Sharing details of her first book, Author Nida Malik said, "Blaming My Hormones is a fiction work that is about the life of four girls Anisha, Maira, Riya, and Radha who are suffering from a lifestyle syndrome related to hormonal imbalance. The story revolves around their struggles and consequences. When everything seems fine, a new challenge occurs with bigger difficulties and chaos. They believed that their temporary reliefs will last forever and that they had conquered from their health issues (hormonal imbalance), alas, destiny had something in store for them. In pursuit of permanent relief, they end up complicating their life even further. The lives of the four protagonists in the book are way too challenging than normal people. Besides, failure in relationships, the girls are devoid of emotional support from their family which subsequently adds to the mental stress thereby, adversely impacting their career, love life, and the present living. The girls in life met at a point when they stopped trying, and instead started blaming their hormones without realizing the amount of toxification that they had subjected themselves to. It is really easy to blame everything possible around us, rather than realizing the stark reality and the facts responsible for ill health. “Blaming my Hormones” is not only the research of a lifestyle syndrome, known as Poly Cystic Ovaries Syndrome (PCOS), but is a complete package about how it is adversely affecting the lives of people all over the globe. If one studies it, it may seem to be simple, but in reality, it is far more complex than it seems to be. The characters in the book are inspired by the real-life experiences of people who shared their life story with the author. Their lives are comparatively tougher than others because they are coping with the hormonal issues in addition to the day to day life problems. The plot revolves around the lives of characters, their complications, instability, love life, insecurities, and consequences. They are different in every aspect, the symptoms, situation, causes, and reasons as well. As luck would have it, the solution is hidden in the problem itself, and as the story progresses, unfolds the romance, drama and lot more to experience. The key objective behind the book being to spread positivity and give the readers a new found ray of hope.”
Commenting on Nida’s book, Kanwarjeet Singh Kochhar remarked, “The book tries to convey the message that problems are an integral part of life, and they won't bother us if we keep a positive attitude. Mistakes and failures are parts of trying, not the result. “Blaming my hormones” is not only the research of a lifestyle syndrome, known as polycystic ovaries syndrome, but a complete package about how it is affecting the lives of people. If one studies it, one may perceive it to be simple but it is far complex than it seems to be.”
Continuing further, Nida adds, “I wish to convey my heartfelt gratitude to KS Kochhar for being a great pillar of support. When I was grappling with health complications as a young girl, I often felt low and negative so much so that it hampered the normal functioning of my hormones. The situation aggravated as it led to more problems eventually affecting my self confidence. Fortunately, my family’s all round sterling support played a key role in not only bolstering my confidence levels, but also inspired me to make a mark in life by undertaking something worthy in life. Since a substantial part of my life journey was no less than a tragic tale itself, I decided to share my story with the world by penning a book. I did deep research to study how women cope with life’s challenges and hardships. With the aim of understanding the problem better, I spoke with many women who had some or the other hormonal imbalance syndrome. Two years of intense research finally yielded rich dividends as I was successful in completing the book.”
Voicing his opinion about the book, senior media personality Sidhartha Sen said, “As one reads the chapters, one can easily relate to the different complex situations of life. The book “Blaming My Hormones” is a fitting tribute to all those women who efficiently manage to maintain a balance between life’s challenges and intricacies. The fact that reading researches are boring, Nida Malik converted the reality into fiction, and transformed them into intriguing stories of four girls. The book will surely help in busting myths about hormonal imbalances and other health complications. Kudos to Nida for mustering courage to take up such a bold and pertinent cause.”

The pursuit to perform and deliver better eventually does a great deal of good to the Industry, and as a result, helps in glorifying the image of the country on the global arena. Indian cultural heritage and hospitality have always attracted countless tourists to our dazzling and alluring pastures. Few years ago, Tourism Ministry, Government of India had launched the 'Atithi Devo Bhava' campaign to make people aware of India's rich cultural heritage and treating tourists like God.  It was a nationwide campaign comprising training modules and orientation programs, all with one mission of boosting tourism in the country by redefining the prevalent methodologies and hospitality patterns. This subsequently contributed in improving the country’s overall economy.”

We cannot be dreaming of upmarket hospitality and tourism without addressing the core issues. Medical Tourism has humongous scope in our country, and we need to promote India as a top ranked Medical Tourism destination.”

Tumblr media
By Bipin Sharma
"Khadi Meri Shaan", an evening to celebrate the elegance and power of “Khadi” was hosted at the city’s popular Taurus Sarovar Portico on July 7, 2018. A brainchild of two dynamic visionaries namely Conceptualizer Rajni Panwar and Designer Rosy Ahluwalia in association with Balaji Media, the highlight of the evening was a mesmerizing fashion show. Some of the top models of the fashion Industry sashayed down the ramp in exquisite Khadi wear design collections. While the evening had other components as well, the fashion show indubitably stole the thunder.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It had to be seen to believe the enormous craze for the show as ‘Khadi in Bridal Couture’ was showcased and launched for the first time by celebrated designer Rosy Ahluwalia. The enthusiasm among the media, fashionistas and the esteemed guests was a sight to behold.
Tumblr media
It all began two months ago when senior media personality and conceptualizer Rajni Panwar synergized with Designer Rosy Ahluwalia, and the two decided to organize an exclusive evening that aimed at popularizing and promoting the ageless 'Khadi fabric' which has been India's Pride since the Independence Struggle.
Tumblr media
The core objective of the initiative being to give a big boost to the Prime Minister's ambitious "Make in India" campaign, and thus creating more job opportunities.
Tumblr media
The event commenced with the Anchor of the show Dhaarna enumerating the key idea behind the entire event, and introducing the core team of “Khadi Meri Shaan” on the stage.
Tumblr media
The guests lauded the untiring efforts of the core team comprising Rajni Panwar, Rosy Ahluwalia, Palvinder Singh, Amanpreet Kaur, KS Kochhar and Bipin Sharma. The digital screens, stage and the ramp were all designed by Balaji Media, a name to reckon with in the field of Events & Media Entertainment.
Tumblr media
The most awaited moment of the evening arrived when Rosy showcased her new highly captivating Khadi Bridal collections and lehengas leaving the audience completely spellbound. In the ramp walk of distinguished Achiever’s, Syle Diva Poonam Saini opened the show, and looked stunning in her resplendent Khadi wear collection.
Kavita Gloriole’s stunning jewellery designs won many hearts and were hugely appreciated by one and all. Ghazal Queen of Agra Hema Sharma enthralled the packed house with some everlasting melodies.
Tumblr media
Designer Rosy Ahluwalia brought laurels to the nation when she showcased her collections at the Hollywood Haute Couture Oscar’s 2018 (West Hollywood, California) &Tiffany Red Carpet Cannes Festival 2017.
Tumblr media
Speaking to the media, Rosy Ahluwalia said, “The journey of khadi has been about maintaining a perfect harmony between traditions and modernity. The idea has been to reinvent the Khadi fabric into high-fashion wear. After two decades in the Fashion Industry, I feel elated to see the growing popularity of Khadi in the last few years. The myth that only politicians wear Khadi has been completely busted. I have played my own role in glamourizing Khadi, and possess all the conviction that Khadi will become one of the most popular fabric in the coming times.”
Tumblr media
Addressing the media, Rajni Panwar said, “Today’s evening has been totally dedicated to Khadi. The Punchline of the event says volumes for itself, ‘An evening to popularize and promote the elegance and magic of Khadi.’ You can’t have a better show than this with the Models along with distinguished guests comprising Society Achiever's sashaying down the ramp in mesmerizing Khadi Design collections. We have been relentlessly striving to popularize the ageless Khadi fabric as it has always been India's Pride. Heartfelt gratitude to KS Kochhar, the MD of Hotel Taurus Sarovar Portico for agreeing to become the hosts of the event. The show would not have been possible sans their unstinting support and guidance. It’s a big shot in the arm with the government of the day going that extra mile to make Khadi a "zero effect, zero-defect" global product. No ambiguity about Khadi being an environment friendly fabric as the government has decided to harness solar energy to power "charkhas" (spinning wheels) pan India to enable handspun khadi to become the zero-carbon footprint green fabric of the country. The mission is to not only revive the khadi industry in the country, but to take it to every nook and corner of the country.”
Tumblr media
Guest of Honour and Editor in Chief of Samachar Post Sushil Vakil cheered, “I wish to compliment the organizers of the show for undertaking a painstaking initiative in dedicating an evening to India’s ageless legacy Khadi. This effort will do a world of good in promoting Khadi, and eventually create more employment opportunities for those associated with this Industry.”
Tumblr media
The movie trailor of Balaji Media’s upcoming movie, "Shaitaani Aankhein" was shown. Amanpreet Kaur, CEO of Balaji Media enlisted the various milestones of Balaji Media and how they had gone those extra miles to promote fresh talent.
