Crystals
~ What are Crystals and what are they used for?
Most crystals ( in this case including gems, rocks, precious stones, semi-precious stones, and simple stones) are of mineral origin. Crystals, like amethyst, come out of the ground naturally faceted and donât need to be changed in anyway. Diamonds, for example, come out of the ground equally as rough, but are usually polished and cut into intricate styles.
For many years, crystal have been used as a tool to aid spiritual healing, psychic development, and meditation.
~ How can I incorporate Crystals into my everyday life?
You can carry around your crystals. This way you can feel your crystals energy when needed. Place them in a little sachet or pouch and they are ready to go!
Infuse your water with your clean crystals. This is a fast way to feel your crystals energy.
Decorate your magickal space and/or surroundings with crystals.
Meditate with your crystals. Just spend a minimum of 30 seconds with each crystal. Hold it in your hands, close your eyes, and feel its energy soaking into your skin.

⨠POTENT PROTECTION OIL â¨
(Actually this can be made into incense, a spray or even a candle but itâs good to make a oil of it to anoint yourself or other things. This recipe is also very good with protection against spirits and or malevolent entities, along with those who wish you harm/ill and or give negative vibes)
What youâll need:
Marjoram (This is a very powerful herb for overall protection. However donât be surprise if your spirit friend/companion goes away for a bit due to this herb, it can make spirit communication a bit difficult.) I thank my grandmother (who is a native medicine women) for telling me this.
Salt (For obvious reasons!)
Frankincense essential oil or resin (Frankincense is considered to be holy and was said to be given from a Archangel)
Willow or sage (both are very good for protection and protection against evil)
A Carrier oil (or not if your making this into a loose incense)
A container to put it all in
OPTIONAL THINGS:
You can use Moon/Sun water instead of oil
If your making it a loose mixture, place a crystal in it to keep it charged!
You can place the mixture within sun or moon light to charge it or make it more potent
If you donât like the smell of Frankincense you can use Lavender, Peppermint, Dragonâs blood, Myrrh or Rose essential oil or resin.
You can add the following herbs for more potency: Mandrake root, Lavender, Lemongrass, Rose, Basil, Wormwood, Bay, Sandalwood, Cedar, Pine, Cinnamon, Juniper/Juniper berries, Dill, rosemary.Â
Directions: This is pretty self explanatory. You add everything into the bottle (BUT REMEMBER TO ADD YOUR INTENT ALSO!) I canât stress this enough guys! You can add as much or as little as you want to your own mixtures!Â

since iâm starting to work on getting my own Grimoire better organized and figuring out what i think fits best in it for me, i feel like i should log some ideas that have helped me in my journey in hopes that it could help someone else just starting out. but just remember that your Grimoire is your own and personal to you and you alone so you donât need to put everything in if it doesnât vibe well with you or doesnât fit into your craft. your book should hold things that are personal to you and your craft and what you believe and you donât need to have every bit of knowledge in your book.

The Wheel Of The Year
A Quick Introduction to the 8 Pagan Holidays, or Sabbats, of the Year
Dates may Vary due to year, and multiple sources I have found have different dates
Yule (December 20-23): The winter equinox and when days become shorter. People begin to make preparations for the cold months and decorate trees with many cold weather foods to symbolize the continument of life in winter.
Imbolc (Febuary 2nd): âThe promise of Springâ this is a time typically when sheep would begin to lactate, meaning they were pregnant. A time of celebration for the coming spring and crops and animals would be blessed. The goddess Bridgid would be honored as she symolizes fertility.
Ostara (March 19-22): The spring equinox and a celebration of the beginning of spring! Some easter traditions come from Ostara.
Beltane (May 1st): The festival of Fire and Mayday, the halfway between spring an summer, the weather is getting warmer for most! A time to be greatful for the gifts of Spring and many celebrate on Beltane Eve with big bonfires and on my first with flower crowns and may poles. Beltane is considered by many to be a holiday where the veil between worlds is very thin.
Litha (June 19-23): The summer solstice! Days are long enough for work and play and many announce engagements during this time and many continue for a full Harvest.
Lughnasadh(August 1st): Symolizing the first harvest and the midway point between summer and autumn. When many get married and celebrate this time with breads and fruits made available by the harvest. A time for gratitude.
Mabon (September 21-24): The autumn Equinox and the holiday we are enjoying right now! A celebration of the harvest and preparations for the winter soon to come. Celebrates abundance and the good reaped from labor.
Samhain (Oct 31- Nov 1): ITS HALLOWEEN! Annnd the witches new year. One of the most important holidays where the veil between worlds is thin. A time to honor loved ones, friends, familiars, and pets who have passed on. A very powerful time where one may focus on guidance, clearance of negative energy, and the beginning of a positive new year.
These are short and simple explanations and I hope I didnât get anything wrong! Feel free to add info or correct me on any points.
Happy Witching!

Restorative and Preservative Oil
â
On a Full Moonâor elsewhise on a Friday, at either Dawn, Noon, Dusk, or Midnightâkindle a Fire and feed to it thirteen herbs. Each plant used corresponds to one of thirteen zoetic âsystems,â and are as follows:
Gingko for the Circulatory System
Peppermint for the Digestive System
Hawthorn Berries for the Endocrine System
Burdock Root for the Integumentary System
Garlic for the Immune System
Arnica for the Muscular System
Valerian Root for the Nervous System
Juniper Berries for the Renal System
Nutmeg for the Reproductive System
Eucalyptus for the Respiratory System
Alfalfa for the Skeletal System
Lavender for the Emotional System
A Datura Blossom for the Spiritual System
Avoid breathing in any of the smoke and, when the last herb has been offered, allow the fire to die down.
At this point in the ritual, fill a copper vessel with an appropriate amount of Olive Oil. Add to it a small handful of Ashes from the extinguished fire, one Powdered Eggshell, a chunk of Powdered Dragonâs Blood, and one drop of Blood.
Leave the mixture to sit beneath the open sky. If created at Dawn, retrieve it at Dusk and vice versa. If created at Noon, Retrieve it at Midnight, and vice versa. Once retrieved, hold it in your hands, in the posture you most associate with prayer/supplication, and petition an entity closely associated with health and/or vitality in your practice, aloud.
Thereafter, keep the oil in a cool, dark place and incorporate it into magic meant for restoring and/or preserving the balance of Health. It is particularly useful in magic meant to prevent or drive off illness.

Safety Reminder: Oil Blending
If you decide to make home blends of oils for your craft, please do your research about oil dilutions.Â
Essential oils should never be applied directly to the skin, due to their concentrated nature and the fact that some may cause reactions. Some oils are what is known as âvolatileâ and this means that they react to sunlight and will cause severe chemical burns.
When you create oils, you must dilute the essential oils in a carrier oil (a.k.a, base oil). Carrier oils are vegetable and plant oils such as almond oil, olive oil, sunflower oil, jojoba oil, etc. [click here for a post with lists of carrier and essential oils].
⧠SAFE OIL DILUTION PERCENTAGES
If you intend to make an oil for topical use, you must create one of a safe dilution. Anything up to a 5% dilution is safe to use on human skin - provided that you donât have an allergy or sensitivity to one of the essential oils youâre using (frankly, if you put a substance that youâre sensitive or allergic to on your skin willingly, youâre a bit of a fool).
If you have sensitive skin, youâd best err on the side of caution and opt for a lower concentration. I find that 3% is good midpoint to work with.
