reasons why im (probably) not going to watch idol producer season 2

i really really loved ip season one. i loved it so much. it was the only thing that got me through the mess that was my senior year of high school (i think ive ranted enough on why), and i honestly dont know how life would have turned out if i had decided not to watch. 

that being said, as of right now, i have no plans to watch idol producer season 2. i watched season one, and was extremely disappointed by the iqiyi and the overall results of the show. i love nine percent, and while i am a little bit upset that my favs did not win, there is no denying the fact that every person worked hard for their success, and that the people who won deserved their successes. 

there were others that deserved better, though. i can say without a doubt that zhu xingjie deserved to win, that the oner members and awaken f and so many more (idk fam i was an oaca/qin’s supremacist) deserved better than they got, that zheng ruibin and jeffrey were too pure for the world and were subsequently forgotten. the twins did not deserve to go out the way they did. zhou yanchen (;-;-;) and his tragic hospital visit honestly destroyed me for at least a week idk.

ive been inactive in the fandom for a couple months now, partly because its hard to keep up with the different companies, and partly because iqiyi has spent more than half a year sleeping on nine percent. the np members deserve better than what they’re getting. its hard to stay committed to a group that is doing nothing, especially now that ive moved on to university and face a bunch of new and different challenges in this new and different environment. 

what am i saying? i will (probably) not watch ips2 because i cant afford to be committed to 100 boys again (less, if they make a mess of themselves like they did last season). i no longer rely on tv shows to make myself happy. i have more confidence now, and im learning how to ask for what i want instead of waiting for things that may never come (working for it, instead of being complacent). i dont need to validate who i am with a show that fills me with nothing but contempt and sadness and, now, apathy. 

i will (probably) not watch ips2 because iqiyi has been disappointing in their lack of support towards a group they promised to debut. i will (probably) not watch ips2 because i will inevitably be disappointed by the results, when those i care about do not win. 

i will (probably) not watch ips2 because in my mind, nothing can match up to the pure joy that was season one. i still watch clips from the first few episodes (not the whole episode bc tf, i dont have time) and reminisce on the good old days, when han mubo was the center of my life. (ngl the awaken f music isnt really to my taste but shh, dont tell my parents). 

i know ips2 will be amazing. i have friends ready to watch, both irl and online, and i wish all of the trainees well in their journey. there is a lot of incentive for me to watch: i get to see zhang pd at work again, minghao from seventeen will be a judge, and its another chance to get myself back and active again in the online community, which was very nice and welcoming to me during ips1. 

but theres so many reasons not to watch as well, and at this point in my life, the cons outweigh the pros.

so yeah. im probably not gonna watch ips2.

you ever think about how much of a strong independent person xukun is… everything he is today is all because of him, no one helped him, no one showed him the right path. he fucked up and was fucked over so many times and he was all alone, all by himself with no one to help him out and he never sought out for help, he always held his head high and did everything by himself and at such a young age he’s a fucking ceo of his own established company in a huge country like china that’s just so unimaginable? he composes his own music from correcting the rhythms to the lyrics and even editing the mvs like this guys is a fucking genius he’s not only mastered idol qualities like singing, dancing, rapping, stage presence, dj-ing etc but he also makes his own mvs and beats from scratch like his fucking mind?? not only that he’s just so damn independent that he has employees working under him, choreographers and managers being commanded by him and not only is he stable but he has a heart of gold i can’t fathom how truly giving he is, from making his first ever album free despite knowing he could’ve earned millions if he gave them out for a price, and hell, being so apologetic for that one event he couldn’t turn up to that he paid back all the travelling and hotel expenses to his fans like this guy is truly one of a kind no one deserves someone as so mentally strong, dominant and well balanced as him. he may be young but god has he accomplished more than the people who have been walking the path to success for years have. and not to forget, he did it all by himself.

YH Academy is known for having two connecting schools. One for students who simply want to attend classes for general studies and grow on their STEM skills, and another for the fine arts.

Despite the founder’s efforts for creating one whole academy that allowed those who valued education and those who valued art to come together, the direction turned southward. The two schools soon became rivals under the same house.
