WITH TACKLES AND CENTERS APLENTY, NFL TEAMS FIND THE GUARD POSITION LACKING
Unless college tackles like Jonah Williams, Kaleb McGary and Cody Ford line up inside, teams are not finding too many pure guards in this draft class. The one that fits that description, Boston College's Chris Lindstrom, will probably hear his name called during Day Two action. Still, Day Three is where teams could strike gold - with a little patience. Indiana's Wes Martin seems to be a popular non-Combine guy teams are doing homework on, but the best guard in this draft could be another projected conversion - tough as nails Dalton Risner or Charlotte's rising star Nate Davis. Here is the Scout's Honor take on the offensive guards in this draft class. https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17594098 NFL Draft Overview - Offensive GuardsPaul Crane and scout Dave-Te' Thomas look at this year's class of guards in the NFL Draft. Several players have played other positions as there are few "pure" guards in this draft. The top players, how teams are looking at them, those most interested, best fits and some small school sleepers all here.www.spreaker.com

TEAMS HOPE TO TACKLE THEIR FRONT WALL ISSUES WITH THESE LINEMEN IN THE DRAFT
While some teams adhere to the Paul Brown rule - build your offensive line by starting with a great center, with more emphasis on the passing game, other organizations place a bigger priority in finding matching bookends at tackle. Only Florida's Jawaan Taylor appears on most boards as a Top Ten blocker, but could the Houston Texans be primed to offer Miami a big package to move up from #23 for Alabama's Jonah Williams? Here's what Paul Crane and Dave-Te have to say about this year's offensive tackle class; https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17583296 NFL Draft Overview - Offensive TacklesPaul Crane and scout Dave-Te' Thomas look at the top offensive tackles in the draft. From big name, big school players like Jawaan Taylor + Jonah Williams through small school standouts such as Tytus Howard, Trey Pipkins + Chidi Okeke, it's a complete look at how each performs, teams showing interest + best fits.www.spreaker.com

A FEW TRAFFIC COPS READY TO POLICE THE MIDDLE FOR NFL TEAMS NEXT YEAR
It looks like this will be the Devin (white) and Devin (Bush) show when it comes to middle linebackers waiting in the green room to cross the podium on draft day. Most of the other talent here are blue collar types, but a few teams like Green Bay, the Giants and Pittsburgh are looking at a highly rated rush end as a possible transition to the second level. Here is what Dave-Te and Paul Crane discussed in their latest podcast. https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17416381 NFL Draft Overview - Inside LinebackersPaul Crane and super scout Dave-Te' Thomas look at the top 16 inside linebackers in this year's NFL draft. From Devin White of LSU and Devin Bush of Michigan through Natrez Patrick of Georgia, some Day 3 super sleepers and everyone in between, hear strengths, weaknesses and teams showing interest. Also, the one player several teams are now looking at LB who has not played there before because of what is said here.www.spreaker.com

IN THE NEW AGE OF EDGE RUSHERS, NFL TEAMS CONSIDER OUTSIDE LINEBACKER THE DRAFT'S WEAK LINK
Unless the law firm of Devin (white) & Devin (Bush) move to the outside, do not expect any "true" outside linebackers to be taken until late during Day Two activity. Even then, it could be edge rushers being asked to switch positions. With the sensational Pro Day conducted by Ed Oliver the other day, teams are now eyeballing him for a possible Tedy Bruschi role. Could Chucky and the Silver & Black be the next home for the former Cougar with pick #4? Hear what Paul Crane and Dave-Te have to say about this year's draft class and how the veteran free agent market took shape at the outside linebacker position. https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17457329 NFL Draft Overiew - Outside LinebackersPaul Crane and super scout Dave-Te' Thomas look at the Outside Linebackers in this year's NFL Draft. In all, 27 players are discussed, including one who will likely go on Day 2, but only because he started college under 200 lbs. The best players at this position, the teams most interested, draft steals, surprises and more.www.spreaker.com

WITH JUST ONE COMPLETE TIGHT END IN THE 2019 DRAFT CLASS, TEAMS MIGHT DOUBLE UP TO FILL THEIR DRAFT NEEDS
Ah, the endless search for the complete tight end. As a member of the Mackey Award selection committee, I jumped on the "Dallas Clark Bandwagon" to hail the exploits of Iowa's T.J. Hockenson, who won the coveted award. Still, Clark, myself and others, especially the GMs, realize that as that song verse says, "the bottom drops out" after Hockenson. Why? Too many one-dimensional types, as glorified receivers take center stage here. However, a physical blocker is emerging as a valid receiving option also - Mississippi's Dawson Knox. Here is Paul Crane and Dave-Te's take on this year's tight end class. https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17476681 NFL Draft Overview - Tight EndsPaul Crane and super scout Dave-Te' Thomas look at the tight ends in this year's draft. One Thomas calls the best offensive player in this draft, others could become very productive, including a super sleeper who went to college for water polo not football. Teams most interested in several players, including one who could change the dynamics of the 1st round.www.spreaker.com

MOST OF THIS YEAR'S WIDE RECEIVERS COME WITH A FAIR WARNING LABEL
Wide receiver and cornerback are traditionally the most draft-heavy positions each year, but both of those spots do not offer the "gotta have" talent like in past years. Since the start of the 2000 draft, 619 wide receivers have been selected. Among them, were 75 first round pass catchers. All of them have appeared in at least one NFL game, but four played less than a full season schedule. This season, at least three and possible four wide-outs will go in the first round. Here why Dave-Te thinks a trio of second round types just might be better options than the names of Hollywood, DK and AJ on another edition of Scout's Honor. https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17513882 NFL Draft Overview - Wide ReceiversPaul Crane and super scout Dave-Te' Thomas look at some of the top WRs in this years draft. From the player Thomas considers his top WR, who he admits probably won't even be taken on Day One through a pair of super sleepers, one not even invited to the combine, it's the good, the bad and the ugly.www.spreaker.com

TEAMS LOOKING TO CORNER THE MARKET WILL WAIT UNTIL THE LATER PART OF ROUND ONE
The best way to describe this 2019 cornerback class was best said at the NFL Scouting Combine - they look like a bunch of safeties. Just three athletes at this position cracked the 4.4-second 40-yard dash mark, but Washington Byron Murphy, the top press corner in this crop, still sits solidly at the head of the pack. For great instincts, Georgia's Deandre Baker gets the nod, but is LSU's Greedy Williams just a ball-hawk with no tackling skills? https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17544488 NFL Draft Overview - CornerbacksPaul Crane and scout Dave-Te' Thomas look at the cornerbacks in this year's draft. From players like DeAndre Baker, Byron Murphy and Greedy Williams, through a pair of small school super sleepers, we run through those who should go Day 1, 2 +3. From teams showing interest in specific players to best fits, it's the good, the bad and the ugly on CBs who will hear their names called in the NFL draft.www.spreaker.com

DRAFT DAY TWO PROMISES TO SEE LOTS OF SAFETIES GOING OFF THE BOARD
Unlike most of the positions in this draft, there is a clear cut leader at the safety position, Mississippi's Jonathan Abram, likely to be the only one within his group getting a chance to walk on to the podium. Washington's Taylor Rapp, Delaware's Nair Adderley, Maryland's Darnell Savage, Florida's Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Iowa's Amani Hooker and Virginia's Juan Thornhill are the names who will be called during teams' Day Two mad rush to fill needs in the secondary. Here is Dave-Te and Paul Crane's take on this year's safety crop. https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17548450 NFL Draft Overview - SafetiesPaul Crane and scout Dave-Te' Thomas run through the safeties in this year's draft. The one expected to go Day 1 and others who should hear their names on Days 2 and 3. One sleeper, others falling on draft boards, teams interested and best fits.www.spreaker.com

NFL TEAMS FEEL THIS LINEMEN COULD BE THE CENTER (S) OF ATTENTION ON DRAFT DAY
Paul Brown and Chuck Noll enjoyed great success as coaches, as their blocking schemes required their teams to always have a great performer at the center position. Bob Johnson, Mike Webster, Dermonnti Dawson - all were the elite at the pivot during their playing days. This year, North Carolina State's Garret Bradbury is the object of attention and a certain first round pick, but Eric McCoy-Texas A&M and Mississippi State's Elgton Jenkins could be Day Two steals. Hear what Dave-Te and Paul Crane have to say about the "Men in the Middle." https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17555496 NFL Draft Overview - CentersPaul Crane and scout Dave-Te' Thomas look at the centers in this year's draft. Centers who can expect to hear their names in the draft, teams that are already interested and some good fits all explained here.www.spreaker.com

MUCH LIKE AEROSMITH, NFL TEAMS WILL LOVE "LIVING ON THE EDGE" THIS DRAFT
Scouts are projecting that at least seven edge rushers will be selected in the first round. Gone are the days of the Too Tall Jones-like defensive ends, replaced by these sleek "sports car" types. The changes have occurred as teams put more emphasis on getting to the quarterback. The 2000 NFL Combine ends averaged 6:03.5-277 and averaged 5.0/40-yard with 24 reps in the 225. The 2009 Combine group at this spot averaged 6:03.4-264, ran 4.92 with 24 reps. This year, they checked in at 6:04.5, 258, averaging 4.77 and 27 reps - obviously smaller, yet faster and stronger. Here is the latest podcast from Paul Crane and Dave-Te' Thomas. Check back tomorrow, as this duo sits down and looks at the one-, three-, five-gap defensive tackles that teams are coveting. https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17346383 NFL Draft Overview - Edge RushersPaul Crane and super scout Dave-Te' Thomas look at the top 20 edge rushers in this year's NFL Draft. From Nick Bosa, Josh Allen + Montez Sweat through Maxx Crosby, Carl Granderson + Shareef Miller hear how all of them rate between Rounds 1-7, how they play + which NFL teams would be best fits.www.spreaker.com

Dave-Te’s Podcast-NFL Free Agency Begins
Could the Giants be coveting a right tackle who played under Dave Gettleman's tenure at Carolina? Is Landon Collins days as a Giant numbered and what other safeties might be heading elsewhere. The Ravens could lose two more quality defenders, as both linebackers could suit up for the Cards next season. With so few veteran receivers of quality available, could the Chargers Tyrell Williams be cashing big checks in Buffalo? Where will featured ball carriers like Le'Veon Bell, Mark Ingram and Tevin Coleman call home in 2019? That and a whole lot more to prepare all for a CRAZY week of free agent movements;
https://www.spreaker.com/episode/17274546 NFL News, Free Agency UpdatePaul Crane and super scout Dave-Te' Thomas look at NFL veteran free agents there and those who may be on the way. Tyrunn Mathieu, Landon Collins, Tyrell Williams, Mark Ingram, LaMarcus Joyner, CJ Anderson and perhaps Tyrell Suggs, Michael Bennett and others. The crazy QB situation in Arizona, the Falcons "albatross" and so much more.www.spreaker.com
