I was talking to a friend that's supposedly a fan of Max's (after her take I'll doubt her), and we entered a discussion where she defended against the idea of Max Verstappen being an omega, and it hurts me so much to see this terrible mischaracterization warped by their own views of what an omega is or is not. If you allow me, I'll show my arguments as to why I think Max Verstappen is much more suited to the omega secondary gender instead of the alpha role, and I hope to convince you of the only true take.
I'll first lay my ground work; F1 is a pack. These are people that have known each other since childhood, and spend lots of their time together, away from most of their family or friends, so naturally that would develop into a pack.
1) Role dynamics are important in packs, and it's well known that packs are usually led by an omega and an alpha. Lewis is an alpha, and we know he leads the pack. He's not only one of the most experienced people on the grid but also the most successful historically and he's a role model for the younger pups. He cares for his pack enough to speak up when he feels his pack is being mistreated or to show tenderness to the young members that look up to him. (The photo with Isack) Also, as further evidence, we have the compelling argument that there's no way Nico Rosberg is not an omega, and the Brocedes relationship is a great example of what happens when an alpha's ego is threatened.
This leaves a gap for pack omega, (that was once filled by Vettel by the way) and who better to fill that role than Max? He's also one of the most successful drivers ever, and although less experienced, he is also looked up to by the young members of the pack (the rookies), which establishes him as a leader of sorts, and you might think (wrongly) that the fact Max and Lewis fought so hard in 2021 proves my point incorrect. You could argue that Max and Lewis were fighting for who got to lead the pack, a knot-messuring contest, and that's not a wild interpretation of their title fight, but I think their co-parenting of the rookies proves that at least now, they would lead the pack as a duo, something you'd not see if 2 alphas were fighting for leadership, and Max also takes care of the rookies such an omega way.
2) F1 media treatment. This argument is a lot more narrative based, but tell me, would an alpha be shamed for his aggressiveness? Would a successful and driven alpha be painted as a villain for his triumph? Would an alpha be shamed for his anger? I'll tell you the answer: no. In an alpha dominated sport, in an alpha dominated society, when an alpha is aggressive, it's determination, when an alpha is angry, that's rightful, when an alpha fails it's normal to make mistakes, but when an omega is aggressive, then it's murderous, when an omega is angry, they're unstable and when an omega (17) fails, it's a show of why they shouldn't be there. Look at me and tell me it doesn't make much more sense to paint a strong omega as a villain in this society when he's a danger to the status quo, a show that omegas are in fact not inferior.
3) Childhood. Following the other argument, this will be brief. Imagine you are the omega son of an alpha; your mother, an omega, was talented in karting but couldn't make it due to her secondary gender, your father, an alpha, did make it but didn't find success. Now, he lives vicariously through you, always pushing you to be more and more and more, and you, poor omega kid, are never enough for your alpha father and even when you do make it, he still tries to manage you, not letting you be fully independent. That's a great angle in which to describe Max's childhood, and it fits more through the omega lens than the alpha one, the omega point of view just adds that beautiful angst I know people more talented than me could make use of.
4) Interpersonal relationships. We established Max as mother of the rookies and leader of the pack, but clearly that's not all. He's close friends with Lando (the world's most omega omega), and it's well known that omegas usually bond with other omegas the closest. Fighting with Russell (whom I personally believe a Beta that tries to act Alpha) makes sense if you see it as an ego thing from Russell's side: "I'll not let this omega beat me", because it would prove him as lesser than, which he clearly doesn't like, and his coparenting of Kimi makes sense when we think of it as omega and (wannabe) alpha fighting for who gets the kid's respect. Then something similar goes with his past teammates, wouldn't it hurt an alpha's ego to get beaten by not only a kid but also an omega? Their coddled egos can't handle the idea of seeming inferior to whom they've been taught to think is lesser. Max's relationship with his teammates is not 2 alphas butting heads and fighting side to side, it's a man having to come to terms with the fact that he's a second to someone they barely see as person.
5) Most damning evidence: Look at him.

That's in guys, it's not my strongest defense as most arguments only work if we assume other things to be like I say, but if someone has more ideas please share it.

This is astronomically heartbreaking, listening to George justify his dads abuse because “well, it cost so much, he didn’t want me getting full of myself”
He was a child. Likely under 15 for most of it.
