Our innovative designs deliver exceptional performance and reliability, ensuring your operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Niche FPP's Range of Heat Exchangers at ACHEMA 2024
Niche FPP offers a comprehensive range of fluoropolymer heat exchangers, each with its own distinct advantages:
Reactor Coil Heat Exchangers: Ideal for crystallizer applications, these heat exchangers feature loose bundles of corrosion-resistant fluoropolymer tubes. During agitation, the flexing action of the coils helps reduce fouling and dislodge deposits, maintaining optimal heat transfer efficiency and extending their lifespan. R500 Model Coil: This immersion-style heat exchanger is specifically designed for process reactors, particularly those involved in crystallization. Its compact design allows for direct immersion within the process vessel, and the flexing action of the coils dislodges crystal deposits for improved performance.
Slimline Coil Heat Exchangers: Popular in metal finishing and chemical processing, these immersion heat exchangers are perfect for batch and continuous steel pickling applications. Niche's fluoropolymer tubing virtually eliminates corrosion and fouling, leading to reliable operation and reduced maintenance costs. Available in standard FEP and proprietary "Q" resin options, Slimline Coils cater to a variety of pressure and temperature requirements. Additionally, the Q-Series coils offer superior energy efficiency by avoiding desuperheating in steam applications.
Supercoil Heat Exchangers: The ideal choice for high-volume metal finishing operations demanding efficient heating and cooling, Supercoil heat exchangers leverage the non-stick properties of fluoropolymer resins to prevent scale buildup and resist corrosion. This translates to minimal maintenance and maximized efficiency. Furthermore, their inherent inertness minimizes the impact of stray currents in electroplating tanks. Available in both FEP and Q-Series tubing formulations, Supercoils offer a wider range of temperature and pressure capabilities along with superior thermal efficiency, making them ideal for electroplating, etching, anodizing, and similar processes.
Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers: Primarily used in the chemical processing industry, these heat exchangers excel at heating, cooling, condensing, and evaporating highly corrosive liquids and gases. Unlike conventional shell and tube heat exchangers, Niche products utilize fluoropolymer tubing, a material known for its exceptional chemical inertness, which eliminates scaling and fouling. This translates to superior performance and reliability compared to traditional metal, glass, or graphite counterparts.
Niche FPP's unique design features, including braided tubing bundles and fused ends, maximize heat transfer efficiency within a compact footprint. This allows for easy installation in various tank configurations, further enhancing their versatility. Additionally, our proprietary honeycomb process ensures long service life with no leaks or thermo-mechanical failures commonly found in other heat exchangers.

How-to Repair A Tube Bundle
Fluoropolymer tubing and pipe can be cut and used in special applications as well as OEM system designs.A leaking tube in Niche Shell and Tube Fluoropolymer Heat Exchanger can be plugged easily once the bundle is removed from the shell.
1). Once the leak is located, cut the damaged fluoropolymer tube at the break and separate the two cut tube ends from the other tubes in the bundle.
2). Recut the tube about 6 to 8 inches (150 to 200 mm) from each end of the bundle. The fluoropolymer tube is now ready to be repaired.
3). Once a leak is located, it can be plugged using the same procedure as for shell and tube bundle repairs. Cut the damaged tube at the break, and separate the two cut tube ends from the other tubes in the bundle.
4). Recut the tube about 6 to 8 inches (150 to 200 mm) from each end of the coil. The damaged tube ends are now ready for repair.
