"No....you're right, Babe. I'm not..." Looking back at her, he tries to fight the tears, and stay strong. "..but....I'll be fine. I just want you to be happy..." Nick wasn't sure how to handle the situation. Cassandra was one of the few things that had made him happy...she was his everything. After his accident, she was the only person he wanted...

She laid her hand softly over his, another tear fell freely from her eyes. For the first time in a while she look up into his crystal blue eyes. The same eyes she fell in love with not that long ago. Cass saw the hurt in eyes, feeling even worst she looked down again “you’re not okay” she shook her head “-I know you’re not…”

"It's not goodbye--Cass...babe, I just need some time to think.." Shaking his head, he tries to brush off the familiar pain. The doctor had told him that stress would make things worse..

"..everything is okay." Reaching out, he caresses her cheek...flashing a small smile. "I still love you..."

"Guess what—I’m not dead…"

"… I thought you were just doing a perfect job at avoiding me"

"Why I be trying to avoid you?" Nick furrows his brows…not understanwhat she meant..

"I’m guessing you either forgot or made yourself forget but we did" she paused "before you left" a year fell from her eye "I told you about how I cheated on you with Derek and you got angry. Things were said." She shrugged a little "we broke up"

…Nick had been in accident a few months earlier. His hotel room had caught on fire, and he had passed out. The smoke inhalation had caused some loss of memory…

"Wait—what?! You cheated on me? What the hell, Cass…"

"It was an accident, I went out with a friend. Derek’s house was near by so I thought I could maybe crash. I forgot how I use to date him and I still had some feelings." She sighed "I kissed him, he pushed me off and I told him not to tell you or Oaky since you two were like my only family… I told Oaky and she forgave me…"

"Cass—" Nick had no idea what to say. How was he suppose to react? She and Oaklen were the only people he still had memory of..

He had felt horrible when he left, but..he needed Ashton. “Do you regret it?” Looking up at her, his blue eyes meet hers…

She wasn’t sure if she actually regretted it. She loved both guys, but who did she love more? She took a deep breathe, shrugging at his question “I love you, Nick. I really do” she paused “but I love him too” Cass wiped a tear, shaking her a head a little “I don’t know. I’m so sorry.” She cracked at the end, a light sob coming out “Im just a mess…”

…he hated seeing her cry. Nick wanted to hold her on his arms, to kiss her softly and tell her that everything was going to be okay—

But, he didn’t know if that was true. “Well….I hope he makes you happy…” Looking away, he sighs…feeling the tears gather in his eyes. “..and I’m glad Oaklen forgave you..” Taking a small step back, he starts to leave...but stops. "I always knew I wasn't good enough...I just wish I hadn't fallen so hard for you.."

"No--I have nowhere else to go.." Tossing his cigarette to the side, he returns to her side. Holding her in his arms, he wipes away her tears. "You're all I have left..."

He smiles slightly, “It’s not your fault, Oak…” Looking away, Nick tries to hide his tears, “Tell the twins I love them..Okay?”

"Your gonna leave again aren’t you" Oaklen said looking at the ground tears almost falling out

"Where is he? Are you still together?" Pacing back and forth, he tries to calm down, "...such an asshole. I'm going to--" Nick stops himself. No..he wouldn't..he promised..

"I won't..I promise." Crossing his heart, he flashes a reassuring smile.

He returns the hug, his heart still broken. "Yeah..me too.." Pulling away, he sighs..running a hand through his long hair. "Now--will you please tell me what's going on with Cass. She's not speaking to me.."

  "Well…I’m here now. I’m sorry I left you.." looking away, his heart breaks, "I’m a terrible person. I always do the wrong thing.."

"Your not a terrible person" *hugs you* "im just glad you back"

Reaching forward, he takes her hand, "No..Cass, tell me. What did I do?"

"Well...I'm here now. I'm sorry I left you.." looking away, his heart breaks, "I'm a terrible person. I always do the wrong thing.."

"I'm sorry, Oak--" Nick sighs, "I had to look for Ash...you had Derek--and Cass. Stiles was here..." He felt horrible, but...it was something he had to do.
