When I was a kid I had a friend, her name was Anna, back then she was new in town, she had no friends to play with so I went and talked to her. Fast forward to a few months we became the best of friends, we would hang out everyday! play games, read books, and even have sleepovers but then she had to move again, we promised to never forget each other so she said “ this is not the end! See you later.” as she got inside their car, she kept waving until the car vanished. When we were teenagers, Anna came back! She was different, she was even more beautiful! though I didn’t know I felt this way, I was in awe of her beauty “You haven’t changed!” she went in for a hug, I thought to myself what is this feeling? I knew I felt different then the question popped up: do I like her? Ever since she was back I wanted to spend every minute and hour with her. As time passed by I slowly realized that I had fallen for her, and when I was about to tell her I got scared and instead I chose to hide it. What if she rejects me? avoids me? she asked  “You were about to say something?” I looked at her and I thought ``yes, I like you “oh it’s nothing! forget about it!” I missed my chance. If I only knew that was my first and only chance I would’ve said it right there. Fast forward to the present, I am now standing in front of the altar seeing Anna in a dress she looked beautiful, as I am slowly accepting the fact that it could’ve been me but I guess it’s not a goodbye but it's always a see you later, and no matter what she would always have a special place in my life, She smiled when she saw me and I waved with a smile.

"LIGAYA" This is a song from band named Eraserheads, their songs were made into a musical called "Ang Huling El Bimbo" which has a very deep and meaningful story about love, family and most importantly friendships. Ligaya is one of the songs from the musical and it speaks about courting a person you love which shows the our culture of "Panliligaw" , the frustration of showing someone and letting them know that you love them, telling that person that you have a lot of benefits when you become official, if you are courting someone then this may be the perfect song for you. For this work I made my own rendition of this song, I played the piano and did my own harmonies showing a slow and soft version, its as if you are listening to it while you're looking at the person you love, and if you do have a specific person, don't waste your time and go tell them you love them, before it's too late. #PhilLitRepresentation
