Phil, we have just watched a season where:

Nate barely interacted with Ava, despite being her first actual friend from the team

Behrad was killed halfway through the season, which kind of ruined the ability to show his and Nate’s friendship

That weird bit where it seems like the writers forgot that Sara was one of the first teammates that Nate hugged, and that Nate was one of the people who kept Sara from closing herself off in season two

Nothing was done with Nate and Gary’s friendship, even though Nate had been one of the only Legends who befriended Gary in season four

We basically got thirty seconds with Charlie and Nate after their best friend died.

We’ve literally seen an episode outline that had Mick and Nate at Mick’s high school reunion, but Nate was removed from it and dropped in the darhkatom plot instead

There’s no point in saying Nate needs to focus on platonic relationships when the writers barely have him interact with his friends, especially the ones he’s been friends with for years!

Am i the only person creeped out by the sorority episode basically having dion give nate a spiked drink and the team happily leaving nate with dion for most of the episode?

I hadn't actually thought about it that much but, yeah, that's pretty yikes. 😬

Is anyone else really disappointed in the treatment of Nate in this season of Legends?

He basically has no story for himself, is barely involved in the season arc besides pining for Zari, has barely used his steel powers at all unless it's for something stupid, and the writers seem to have forgotten that he is a super smart historian (other than the one episode when he came in to help Lita study). Plus I feel like he has had a lot of ooc moments this season. Like the fact that he seems just fine without Ray and doesn't seem to care about his buddy and fellow time bro Behrad being dead and he was barely sad when Zari 1.0 had to back into the totem again. They made it seem like he only cares about getting Behrad back because Zari 2.0 wants him back not because they're good friends. Or what about the many times he's been spelled by the bad guys this season? It's happened like 4 times which is ridiculous. Each episode he gets bewitched and has to be saved and has no other part in the plot. Oh and the writers just straight up forgot that he had hemophilia before he joined the legends based on 5x12

He seems in general a lot more himbo this season than any other and I dislike it. My boi deserves better! Nate is a smart! Nate is a superhero! Why are they making Nate a stupid damsel in distress this season? He has barely been involved in the action all season and didnt have any story this season! The best episode he got was when Ray left.

Sidenote: are they ever gonna just go ahead and make him bisexual cause hes 100% bi. I mean Dion? He was totally attracted to Dion. And the sexy stripper fireman.

I just love Nate so damn much and he deserves better than what he got this season.

You’re right about the park having such effect it changed policy. So it must be a successful.

I think I’ll add this to the list of things the writers have forgotten /Dropped regards to Nate. Add it to, he’s actually intelligent, he had haemophilia, he’s not allowed to grieve...

What happened to Heyworld? Was the park a success? Did it carry on after season 5? If so surely Nate is making some serious bank on it.

They will have her and Nate fall in love, it will be revealed that she’s an actual alien herself after her abduction as a child was the alien checking up on her wellbeing. She’ll leave in the finale to return to the planet of her alien father. Leaving Nate heartbroken with his third doomed romance.
