This is gonna sound mean but this is why I don’t really like it when people are like “can u guys please compliment/reblog my art my self esteem is bad”. It feels like the equivalent of going “please clap”.
Art is a skill you always want to work on improving. Instead of begging for compliments, just ask people what they like about your art and if you want to take it a step forward, what you want fix. Not every criticism is going to be valid, but you should appreciate its coming from the perspective of people who want to see you do better.
Also please please stop begging for reblogs or making guilt trippy posts about how an artist can lose motivation because nobody is given them attention. The art world is competitive and tough, and the reason why people succeed is because they know how to reach a specific audience. If your only motivation for art is how much attention you’ll get, you might want to reconsider why it’s a passion for you in the first place
